Reviews for this vacation apartment rental in Philipsburg, Saint Martin

We arrived on Jan 6th-2015 and have rented until Feb 3rd-2015. It is a little difficult to locate this unit since there are no street signs and the numbers on the dwellings are not in order so it is a bit confusing. We love the fabulous view over the ocean-you can actually spend hours watching cruise ships, fishing vessels, private yachts and sailboats going past. from the deck or sitting on the couch. The people in this area are extremely friendly and helpful. Remember to bring face cloths with you - all towels and sheets/pillow cases are supplied. We really enjoyed the 3 dogs who live upstairs, especially Rocky (the island dog) who basically moved in with us but went home at night. Having WiFi is excellent and the panasonic t.v. is very good. A rental car is a must-we rented from Martine at Alizes at Nettle Bay. She is excellent -met us at the airport and the car had a total of 47 kms on it (in other words it is brand new). She will be meeting us at the airport when we leave next Tuesday-wonderful lady and very honest. This apartment is very quiet and restful which is great when you spend the day going around the island, it is so nice to come back here and relax. Remember to turn the coffee pot off when you are done with it-we thought is was like the pots in Canada that turn themselves off but that is not the case so please remember to turn it off. Bring your binoculars and camera. Be careful of the swinging doors in the wind. Have a great vacation - I know that we did. Make sure you put your vehicle in low gear to come up the hills and down the other sides-they are very steep but you do get used to them. Karen Bethune, Rosseau, Ontario CANADA

Nice roomy apartment with great landlord. Air conditioning in BDRM only but really not required as there is a nice breeze off the water at all times and overhead fans in BDRM & living area. Functional kitchen but lacks conventional oven and large fridge. Directions to unit made finding it a little difficult. Overall had a very nice stay and would consider renting it again. Good value for your dollar.

We met Paul and we followed him to the villa. It was a good thing because I don't think we would ever find it. The road has hairpin turns and extremely rough in spots, but when we arrived we were enthralled. This is a fabulous hideaway. Away from the husle in Phillipsburg. We spent 5 days. The first day we did not leave the property. The view and location was intoxicating. We will definately return. Be sure to bring your own soap and shampoo. WE highly recommend this property. Location: Andover, New Jersey USA

We had a great time, it was our 25 year anniversary, we had everything that we needed for 2 people, the view was spectacular, it was a great location and the location was fairly convenient, it was a walking distance away from town. Deffinently recommend this to everybody, its a great get away location. Thank you very much Paul and Thea!!!

If you're looking for a place away from the overdevelopment and traffic of much of the island, but only 5 minutes from Philipsburg, this is it. It's not beachfront, but is on a cliffside with amazing views of St Barts, St Kitts and Nevis, and Saba. There is a natural pool a short walk down the cliff if you want a dip. Generous and comfortable space with a nice little kitchen (fridge was stocked with more beer than we could drink during our entire stay), a large open bathroom, and AC in the king bedded bedroom. You must have a 4WD to get up and down the steep dirt access road, but that's part of the fun. Two very friendly dogs to hang out with. Excellent access to the the French side of the island via the road heading north up the eastern side. I doubt you could find nicer accomodation on St. Martin for the price. Recommended.
