Chestnut Lodge was extremely beautiful with an awesome view. Any questions or concerns we had were promptly answered. We watched the New Year fireworks located in downtown Gatlinburg from the deck. The hot tub was great. The whole family enjoyed many challenges on the pool table down stairs. The beds were very comfortable. The drive up to the chalet is steep and winding road but well worth it when you see the chalet. Very convenient to travel into Gatlinburg(less than 10 min). Even though alot was lost in Gatlinburg area with the recent fires the people were very generous and kind.

“Great family vacation!”

We really enjoyed the cabin during our family vacation during the last week of December. The accommodations were great, the view was spectacular and the location was perfect. We had an issue with one of the shower doors but the owner sent a maintenance guy right away and got it fix the first day. The cabin was clean, however, it had a lot of dust on the blinds, fans, some of the furniture and corners. Don't get excited about the theater room because the tv has thousands of dead pixels so we could not watch tv there. The game room was fun for the kids but the air hockey table is not working properly and the pool table is worn out. Besides this little issues were really enjoyed our stay.

Owner's reply: Hi - It looks like you meant to write this review for another cabin by the same name. My cabin does not have an air hockey table nor a pool table. I'm happy to say that my theater TV is in excellent condition. Maybe the next time you visit the Smoky Mountains, I would be very happy to be able to welcome you to MY Knockin' on Heaven's Door!

Owner Supplied Testimonials

We had 10 family together for 5 days The cabin was spacious enough to accommodate all of us. Loved the opportunity to sit on the deck each night and view the mountains. It was a perfect accommodation for our family.

This was a "little bit of heaven"--wonderful--excellent

"A Little Bit of Heaven"

A well managed organization. A magnificant experience for the entire family.

"So Good, we are ready to book again!!"
For about 20 years we have a group of around eight Gamecock fans that take one road trip a year to a football game. This is our annual guys weekend. We decided this year that instead of four motel rooms we would explore staying at a Vacation Rental property. This place was awesome. Away from the busy traffic by about five minutes and plenty of room. The entertainment room was perfect. Porch with a great view was much better than looking at and hearing the busy traffic. We even learned the back roads an avoided the traffic jams most of the weekend. The owners were really great in working with us. To sum it up when we come back in two years a motel room is no longer an option for this group and we hope this place will still be available

Beautiful and Convenient!

We were able to stay at Knockin' on Heaven's Door cabin, with a group of 4 couples on a snowboarding weekend trip mid February this year. The cabin was very clean, spacious, it had a great view of the mountain, with an awesome movie room, and nicely equipped kitchen. The surrounding area was very quiet, we felt like we were the only ones there. The location was the best part since everything was just a few minutes away, and we were able to go back and forth from the ski/snowboarding park (Ober Gatlinburg) within 15-20 minutes. Everything was such a convenience like being at home away from home, but in a scenic beautiful location. Also the customer service was great, whenever we had questions or needed assistance with the cabin or directions, we were aided right away.

We had a great time at Knockin' On Heavens Door. The home was beautiful. It was in a great location. I want to thank Soley , who is the property owner. She is very kind and helpful. I highly recommend staying at this particular property.

We had three families for a total of 11 people staying at Knockin' on Heaven's Door. There was lots of room for everyone. All bedrooms were big especially the master suite at the top. We had 6 kids in our party who absolutely loved the theater room and arcade game. I would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone and we would definitely stay here again when we vacation in Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg.

the cabin was exactly as it was described in a great location near by all the attraction and with a breathtaking view of the mountain. Soley the owner was very nice and kind, she checked on us a couple of time to see if there is anything we needed. overall it was a wonderful experience and would defiantly recommend it to friend and relatives who are interested.

Great Family Vacation!!
Great vacation! Couldn't have picked a better place to stay. Quite, convenient location and beautiful view. Plenty of room for our family of 11. The kids big and small really enjoyed the theater/game room. Nanny enjoyed the large kitchen and having all the bathrooms. A smart move putting a bathroom in the kids room where the bunks were. Our twin 11month olds slept in pack in plays in one of the bedrooms on the main floor and mom & dad slept in the other room which worked out great for everyone. Our daughter and husband slept downstairs with the older kids so they could chaperone them and of course Grandpa & Nanny had the Master suite which was awesome. The following will tell you how much the kids enjoyed it. Both boys had meltdowns because they never wanted to leave and they were staying there forever. Grandpa finally told them we would bring them back next year because we didn't get too all the thing to do in Pigeon Forge & Gatlinburg. So we will be back. A promise can't be broken. Thanks to the management and the well done packet of information that was sent to us. We had no problems whatsoever. Thanks again & hopefully we will see you next year maybe sooner.

Very Enjoyable Experience
The cabin was very proximity to all the nearest Pigeon Forge locations and also had a lot of scenic view.

Family Gathering

We had a wonderful time and the cabin was everything we had hoped for. Very clean and stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

Our family had a wonderful time at Knockin on Heaven's Door. It was everything we expected and more. The location and the view was awesome and the cabin was top notch and a great size for a large family or group. We hope to stay there again!
