“Perfect hideaway that's not far away.”

Reviewed 18 Nov 2016

If your looking for a quiet cabin in the mountains but don't want to be a long distance away from the sights, entertainment, and food then this is exactly what your looking for. "A license to chill" is a beautiful cabin with everything you need. Chris the owner was awesome as well. He provided use with suggestions on places to eat, go hiking, what's fun to do and coupons for the area. Very professional with a personal touch. I can not say enough good thing about our say. Everything was very neat and organized. The rooms are good sized with televisions in both and a fire place in the second floor bedroom. The hot tub on the back deck has one great view also. We will be returning for furniture getaways.

“CHILL is RIGHT!”

This place is terrific! There is not a thing that they didn't have here for you. It truly is all the comforts of home, and more. It was one of the most relaxing times I have ever had. The view is beautiful from the deck all around, we enjoyed the hot tub everyday and playing pool. I honestly cannot think of one thing I would change here. I highly recommend staying here.

This cabin is by far the best I have ever stayed in! It is convenient to both Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. The cabin is a beauty in a gated community with everything you could ever need! It was the cleanest cabin I have ever stayed in! I think this cabin deserves 10 stars not just five!

“Great cabin !”

We want to say this was one of the best cabin we have stayed in. It was clean and very well stocked for everything you could need on a vacation all the way down to the a bar of my favorite soap. Great views and Chris and Sharon were great they checked in during our stay make sure everything was going ok and was there anything we needed, You don't find many rental folks that do that. We would definitely stay here again Thanks from the Tuttles

“Cozy "home away from home"”

Reviewed 29 Aug 2016

Our family had a great time visiting the Smoky Mountains and really enjoyed coming back to this cozy "home away from home" between trips to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. We ended up eating most of our meals at the cabin just so we could spend more time there. The cabin is conveniently located between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. The day we arrived, after spending time in Pigeon Forge, we checked into the cabin and unloaded our things, then went to the grocery store and got food for that night's dinner and for breakfast and lunch the next day. We had burgers and hotdogs on the grill that evening, and "chilled out" at the cabin. The next morning, we went ziplining at Smoky Mountain Ziplines, which is just 5 mins. from the cabin. We had breakfast at the cabin, put something in the crockpot for lunch, went ziplining and came back to the cabin in time for lunch, then went into Gatlinburg for the rest of the day. We ended up getting pizza from The Mellow Mushroom in Gatlinburg and bringing it back to the cabin for a late dinner and spent the rest of the evening at the cabin just "chilling."

“Perfect cabin”

Reviewed 11 Jul 2016

Our trip to Pigeon Forge was from June 27 to July 3. Chris and Sharon are first and foremost the best hosts you could ask for, always being available and helpful in any situation. The cabin is located close enough to town for convenience and far enough away to feel secluded. Getting to the house frightened me at first since I have never driven in mountainous area before but I made it easily and safely to the house with no issues. You feel safe and secure in a neighborhood but when you are in the cabin and on the deck you feel like there is no one around. The drive to Gatlinburg is very quick and beautiful! Aside from the location being perfect the cabin itself was perfect! There isn't one thing I can say that could've been improved. Very spacious and well-kept. My children really enjoyed the upstairs loft area. There are notes and instructions throughout the house for most anything that you might have a question. My three children (18, 14, 5) and myself utterly enjoyed our stay and couldn't have been more pleased with our choice to stay at a license to chill ! Thank you so much Chris and Sharon !! “Private and cozy”

Reviewed 20 Jun 2016

It was our first trip to the Smoky Mountains. The Licencse to Chill home was very private in a gated log cabin community. We enjoyed the cozy and spacious cabin with our 3 teenagers. We enjoyed the back porch with reading and our morning coffees and at night a nice warm soak in the hot tub. When not enjoying the card games on the beautiful wooden dining room table, we enjoyed pool upstairs with the kids. The upstairs bedroom was so welcoming for our daughter with her own fireplace and bathroom. My husband and I appreciated the first floor master bedroom. Our boys enjoyed the sleeper sofa in the living room and it was an ideal space to cozy up and watch a movie. We didn't get to enjoy the gorgeous stone fireplace, but it was wonderful after every day excursion to walk into a air conditioned cabin. The License To Chill cabin gave us all the space we needed for a family of five and definitely we were appreciative of the daily rate. The owners are so personable through emails and truly care about your stay. We would definitely recommend you staying at the cabin at any time of the year.
