About the area

This is an awesome location! Its convenient to whatever you want to do in Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg but far enough away to be peaceful & enjoy the Smoky Mountain feel. You will be close to lots of attractions such as DollyWood, Splash Country, Dixie Stampede, Dolly's Lumberjack adventure, Wonder Works (which is indoors and good if it is raining or cold), Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies, & Ober Gatlinburg. The Island is a new addition that offers a large ferris wheel and shopping along with restaurants. Cades Cove is a beautiful 11 mile loop which you can drive around and see wildlife and the beauty of the Smokies at no cost. Sugar Lands visitor center is a great learning museum and you can pick up information for all the local hikes. Metcalf bottoms is a picnic area that is free and is close to the river. Tanger Outlets is a short drive from the cabin and a great place for those who like to shop. Too many to name. Several excellent local restaurants from Southern treats to bar-b-que.

Getting around

The Trolley has a main hub at Patriot Park off Old Mill in Pigeon Forge (Light #7) with free parking while you are driven to Gatlinburg or Dollywood.
