My wife and I are in our 50's and it seems our opportunities to vacation are getting harder to come by. But, when we DO get to vacation, we want a quality experience. We found we just loved vacationing in the Pigeon Forge / Gatlinburg area. The neighborhood in which we purchased our vacation home is...

Owner Supplied Testimonials

The place was perfect for our group. So much excess space and amenities. My mother 58, grandfather 88, nephew 8, niece 5 and I (36) had a wonderful time. That is not easy to do with such a large gap between ages. The kids wanted to play in the game room every second we were home. The adults enjoyed the hottub after long days at the parks. The owners sent us an email that went into every detail about every part of the house including a back way to Dollywood that made it so easy and stressfree to avoid the traffic. My only complaint is a few sugar ants that got into a pop-tart box.

Our family had the great privilege of staying at this location during our recent Spring Break; what an incredible opportunity! We were close enough to all of the excitement of Pigeon Forge to be right in the middle of things within five minutes, yet removed from the noise and traffic, so that we could enjoy all of the serenity of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. We arrived with our three children, ages 10, 15 and 18, who were immediately sold on our home for the week. Our 10 year old son loved the game room downstairs, our 15 year old daughter was excited to have her very own bathroom and our 18 year old son, who lives with Autism, was thrilled over the warmth and bubbles of the jacuzzi. Dad and Mom were overjoyed to have weather that was chilly enough to justify using the gas logs in the fireplace. We also appreciated channel selections for the TV that included family-friendly shows like The Waltons and Little House on the Prairie. The kitchen was fully equipped with coffeemaker, microwave, range and refrigerator, as well as any utensil, pot or pan that one could have possibly needed. We enjoyed having fresh, hot coffee in the mornings, crunchy popcorn during movie time and bubbly black bean soup for midday meals. All of the beds were super comfortable, with snugly linens and pillows that felt like clouds. We traveled into Gatlinburg twice and visited Pigeon Forge daily, enjoying ourselves immensely. When the sightseeing was over for the day, however, we were always more than ready to come back to our own incredibly amazing Spring Break hideaway.

Location is #1. After the first two days, I realized and appreciated our excellent location--easy weekday travel, weekend bypass, central for delivery and carry-out, and Sonic around the corner for sweet-tooth cravings! The house was immaculate and tastefully decorated. Everything was in working order, and all of the beds and den furniture were sturdy and comfortable. The house is spacious with three separate bedrooms (each with bath and TV), downstairs game room, outside patio, and upstairs deck. We could enjoy being together for relaxing family-times and meals in the den/dining area, yet have a number of cozy places to choose for alone-time. Thanks to the washer and dryer, our "vacation" lingered because we returned home with clean clothes and no wash to do! This is a great vacation home if you're on a budget. Our family was immensely pleased with the luxury of having things we enjoy and don't get to experience often, now available to us 24/7 -- cable TV, Jacuzzi, pool table, air hockey, and foosball tables -- with no wait! Our entertainment needs were well-satisfied. The Wi-Fi access allowed us to stay current with home-schooling, too. The attractions we enjoyed the most were: Smoky Mountain Knife Works (Sevierville), Lumberjack Feud, Titanic, Pyramid, Magi-Quest, Three Bears General Store, Gold-mining, and Putt-Putt. A note about Magi-Quest--arrive when they open Mon-Thurs and play for 1 hr. Very few people are there and you can quickly complete many quests. On the weekend it is crowded, so little can be accomplished. It is important to me to feel safe where I stay and safety at this location was never a concern. The neighborhood was peaceful and friendly and drew you outdoors. The house has secure doors and locks with good exterior lighting. We could park our car in the garage, so whatever was inadvertently left in the car could be retrieved by any family member because all were safely inside.
