Located on the hills overlooking the medieval town of Pescia , the estate enjoys a prime location and a magnificent view of the valley and the surrounding hills. Lying 350 meters above sea level, the nature that is encountered is typical of the contact areas between the hills and the mountains. Olive trees, undisputed symbol of Tuscany, surround the property as well as the forests of oak, pine and chestnut trees that reflect the proximity to the Apennines mountains."La Marginella" has an exceptional location, nestled between the olives and the foothills of the so-called "Pescia Switzerland". These mountains were named by Jean-Charles-Léonard de Sismondi Simonde, an intellectual from Geneva, who recognized a certain similarity to his home here.

The vineyard, vegetable garden and a small orchard to the beauty already inherent in the landscape. The farmhouse dates back to the eighteenth century, with a statement later (1870) that you can read on a stone facade. During the extensive restructuring work, tradition and a respectful treatment of the environment were constantly kept in mind. The work was carried out on the basis of earthquake-resistant building codes. The roof was insulated to avoid heat loss, windows were double-glazed and underfloor heating was installed on the ground floor.

The owner Giovanni, purchased the estate in 1991 upon his return to Italy after having long lived in Germany, where he owned a restaurant in Monaco of Bavaria. His extensive experience in the hotel and catering industry are put at the service of customers in order to offer them an experience of true relaxation.

The property is just 4km from the town of Pescia, here guests will find amenities such as shops, wine bars, pharmacies, bakeries and ice cream parlors. For any other needs, just 3km you will find the shopping center supermarkets. On the road for the property guests will find the restaurant or Pizzeria.

The olive grove is located in the northeast of the property with approximately 500 olive trees some of them older than 100 years. The particular micro-climate with high temperatures favours the production of a very high quality olive oil that is valued mainly for its low acid content.

The steepness of the terraces in this area make automatic farming impossible. Therefore, in November, the olives are shaken by hand from the trees as in the past and taken to the oil mill on the same day.

On the ground floor of the property is the oil storage room. There Giovanni is happy to explain the individual steps of the production and let you try the unique oil. Of course, you can also buy this product from your vacation home

La Famiglia:(4+2 people)

The apartment is located on the second floor is accessed from the rear. Composed of four rooms: kitchen / living area, two double bedrooms, large hall used as a living room or bedroom and bathroom with shower. Featuring a fireplace, TV with foreign channels and WI-FI network.

La Stalla:(2 people) The apartment is located on the ground floor consists of three rooms: kitchen / living area, double bedroom and bathroom with shower. Featuring a fireplace, TV with foreign channels, WI-FI network.

L'arancio:(3 people) The apartment is located on the ground floor consists of four rooms: kitchen / living area, double bedroom, single bedroom and bathroom with shower. Featuring a fireplace, TV with foreign channels, WI-FI network.
