Just settled back a home after a wonderful holiday at the SeaBreeze Villa. We are a family of 4 with children aged 15 and 12. After months of planning and many phone calls and e-mails with the owners Dave and Yvonne, this holiday couldn't have been better. Dave and Yvonne went above and beyond in making our stay at they're property most enjoyable. We flew into Belize City, rented a vehicle and drove right to the property, the directions they gave were bang on accurate. The pictures you see online are exactly what it is like, beautiful. The house was clean and comfortable and stocked with the amenities as said on their site. Shopping for other amenities and groceries was close by and we found to be quite reasonable (except coffee, yikes!) The property is very well maintained by the nicest grounds keeper we have ever met.The pool was such a hit, so refreshing and clean. Dave and Yvonne had gave us a list of places where to shop and restaurants they recommend. We tried most of the places they recommend to dine at and they got it right, the food is excellent, and again, we thought very reasonable. We also used a guide that they recommended for diving, snorkeling, fishing and the Monkey River Tour, he was excellent and showed us a great time. We have scuba dived many places and diving Belize is the best yet. The reef is beautiful, untouched and full of sea life! We loved Placencia and spent alot of time there making friends with the locals. Belizian people are wonderful, they are friendly, honest, and love what they have. Some don't have much, but they are grateful for what they do have. I hope some of that rubbed off on me and my family. We have done lots of "all-inclusives" over the years, it was so nice to try something different and we really recommend this property. To have Dave and Yvonne there when we checked in was terrific because they really made us feel welcomed and reassured us this holiday will be very memorable. They were right, this was one of our best holidays and we will be back to see our Belizian friends again.
Thank you so much Dave and Yvonne.
An UnBelizable holiday !!!!

Our family ritual is to go someplace warm over winter break. Our dear departed grandmother started this practice many years ago and we have diligently carried it forward. We have been to Hawaii, (a couple of times) California, and gone on a couple of cruises. (not the children's favorite) We have never ventured outside of the U.S. on our own but decided to give Belize a try. We are very glad we did.
To start with the house was great. As shown and as described on their site, although; we think the owners could have done a bit more bragging about the sleeping arrangements as the beds were very comfortable, something we don't usually find in rental houses. Yvonne was very helpful with pre-trip information. She even sent us very detailed driving directions from Belize City to the house including points of interest along the route. (rest areas, gas stops, places to grab a bite to eat, etc.) Lus (the house care taker) deserves a pat on the back as our plane was delayed a few hours coming in but she was at the house with a big smile to greet us on our arrival. She was also available during the week if needed but not a snooper, a troubling experience we have had in the past.
The weather could not have been better. It rained a few times during the night but the days were sunny and warm. (85? to 90?) Just what us northerners needed. We didn't even find it necessary to use the A/C as the breeze off the ocean was more than enough to cool things down at night.
We did a few touristy things but it was just as much fun to hang out at the house, swim in the pool or ocean and cook up some steaks on the outdoor grille.
We would highly recommend Seabreezevilla if you are in search of an excellent vacation.

Stayed with friends in Feb. Everything was beautiful, The tile and wood finishings were amazing. The sunrises and sunsets were breathtaking. Nothing like waking up in the morning looking out at the sunrise, pelicans and other wildlife. The weather was hot, but airconditioning and fans work perfect if your not quite a hot loving person. Everything is quite close. If you want to go to a restaurant there are many to chose from. All very good. You can book fishing, snorkeling and even jungle tours with ease. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. Absolutely loved it. Would recommend it to anyone. Thanks for a wonderful time.

You can't go wrong renting this property. It is brand new, has all the amenities, and is spotlessly clean. Although the pictures on the site are good, they don't convey what a truly awesome place this is. Imagine waking up and looking out over the Caribbean at sunrise. The view from the balconies are ever changing, with flocks of pelicans and scores of other birds flying by. One morning we saw manatees feeding in the shallows right out front. The next morning it was a feeding frenzy of birds diving on schools of fish that had moved in close to shore. Belize is a nature lovers delight and this house is exceptionally located to take advantage of all that nature has to offer. Another plus is that the ocean here is calm, protected by the offshore reef, so it makes for great swimming right out front. We found the owners of the property to be friendly and easy to deal with. The property manager in Belize was especially great and I can't thank them enough for the helpful friendly services that they provided. They have great contacts with guide services for fishing, monkey river tours, and sightseeing in general. Also, the restaurant recommendations were spot on. They know Placencia and will steer you in the right direction. What else can I say? I love Belize and will keep coming back. It's a special place.

Excellent property - very well managed. Arrived after dark, but called ahead and were met by owner's representative. Location is fine both as a base for sightseeing and as a private getaway. Perfect patio and pool (with swim-up bar) for relaxing or entertaining. Stunning design and high quality finishing throughout - well thought out and everything is spacious, convenient and comfortable. Breakfast on the veranda (overlooking the pool and beach) with pelicans, blackbirds, and sunrise was a perfect start to another day in paradise. Grounds and pool are well maintained by a caretaker weekly (or more frequently, if needed). Fine dining is available at the nearby Maya Beach Hotel and there is also a convenience store. We will definitely stay here again.

My wife, four children (ages 3, 7, 10, 12), and I loved this place. The house is new, well-maintained, and was safe for all our children; even the three year old. The location is quieter than Maya Beach and much quieter than Placencia, which was more of a benefit than we originally thought. It's location is a perfect jumping off point for all that Belize has to offer (snorkeling, caves, ruins). It's probably best to rent a car to ensure quick access to Maya Beach for groceries and nearby areas for tours. This was the first time we rented a home rather than a hotel room and are glad we did. We didn't need to worry about our kids being too loud or getting into anyone else's space. My wife and I are accustomed to camping, but such amenities as the television, pool, washer/dryer, gorgeous showers (especially the one upstairs), and view made the place more like home for our kids. Dave and Susan responded promptly to any questions we had and went out of their way to make sure we had a great stay.

Had a perfect vacation. Location of home is very private and we were able to view sunrise from the Caribbean and sunset over the inlet water way. House is new, well designed, nicely equipped and beautiful. I was so empressed with the bathroom tile work I took pictures of both. With the exception of our last day (when the owners of the "other half" of the home arrived ) we saw no other persons on `our' private beach. The coastline was clean and rock free, I swam in the sea each morning of our stay and floated in the pool with a cold drink each afternoon. We flew into Belize City and rented a car for the drive to Maya Beach, please disregard and comments you may read regarding road conditions. The entire highway to Placencia is now paved and in very good condition. A 4x4 is not necessary. The drive south was beautiful and all four of us enjoyed the views and seeing a bit of the countryside. With the exception of a day we spent hiking in the Jaguar preserve (we all very much enjoyed a hike to Fern Falls and wish we allowed time for a tube float that afternoon) we drove into Placencia everyday. The rental home is located about 25 min. drive from the southern tip of Placencia. There are many very good dining opportunities and several food markets along the way so the travel was not necessary, however, our scuba and fishing excursions both left Marina in the southern most tip of the peninsula. Although a great deal of the vacationers we met choose to fly into the Placencia airport the financial savings of renting a car from Belize City airport were substantial and as mentioned earlier the 3 hour drive was easy and enjoyed by all. Would recommend renting a cell phone for your stay, its was about$35 a week to rent a phone through our rental car company and our U.S. cell phones do not work on the Belize network. I can without hesitation recommend the house and location. I look forward to traveling back again!

Thank you so much Tony & Susan. We had so much fun in all our communications from start to finish. We really appreciate your wonderful review and hope to see you again in the near future. Belize really is beautiful, everyone is so friendly and there are lots of exciting adventures. If you just want to kick back and relax, our home has lots to offer with the pool and private beach. My favourite is watching the abundance of sea life at the waters edge and the many pelicans and egrets etc frolicking on the beach or the fantastic sunrises or sunsets. It's all at your doorstep!

So didnt want to leave this place it was like time stood still for the first 4 days we were there lost track of days.. This rental property a must!!! perfect location not too close to the village and far enough out for relaxation on your own private beach with a swimming pool, Absolutely beautiful inside and out..Pictures do not justify how beautiful this property rental is, you must go to really feel what paradise is about..and Placencia by far the place to be and if oppurtunity rent a car from Belize city and drive the hummingbird hwy absolutely beautiful and also handy for getting around to places on your own for adventure without being on a long day tour, also makes it affordable instead of paying for tours, cheaper to rent a car for a wk!!! We are in Love with Placencia and the locals and village are amazing and dont think we will ever go anywhere else, felt relaxed instantly when we arrived. It was a magical Valentines day full day boat trip to a private island all to ourselves, amazing lobster lunch cooked by the local that lives on the island, swimming with the 16ft Manta Rays well some of us anyway lol, seeing Dolphins, snorkelling and catching some of our own lobster fun!! and fishing, 11 fish caught and a feast it was, highlight of our trip was the Island trip!! The village also offers you alot more of other tours to ruins, cave tubing etc. near by. Next year we will definitely be staying longer and bringing the family to enjoy. David and Susan so thrilled we got to meet while we were there you were amazing, so friendly and so helpful from the time we booked till the day we left your beautiful home. Thank you so much you two were the key to our enjoyable vacation of a life time and to arrive with some food and drinks stocked in the fridge after a long flight was a bonus!!!. We look so forward to keeping in touch and seeing you guys again next year in Placencia!!! Thanks again Belize you won our hearts!!!

Great place, we went with are two kids ( aged 4 and 6), there was lots of space, they liked the swimming pool and private beach, close to Placencia and also close to a bunch of other awsome places. A lot of good restaurants on the strip, within 5 or 10 minutes down the road. Very comfortable inside, lots of windows overlooking the ocean. Highly recommend.

What a beautiful location right on the beach with a gorgeous pool. A perfect place for a group of close friends to gather and enjoy the Southern Placencia peninsula. We watched manatees, dolphins and pelicans frolic in the ocean right outside our door! There were 3 couples in our group and we each had our own private bedrooms with air conditioners in each unit. The home was very clean and tastefully decorated and we had exceptional service from the owners. Both Susan and David made our stay most enjoyable by giving us tips on where to dine, tours to take, shopping and things to do. Wonderful people, wonderful home, wonderful stay!

We just returned from an amazing week in Belize at the SeaBreeze Villa. All I can say is, WOW! What an amazing country and such a wonderful villa to call home during our visit. The villa was perfect for our group of four (two couples). The entire property and pool was very well kept. The villa itself had a remarkably new and clean feel to it. We were also pleasantly surprised by how soft the bedding and sheets were. In most of our previous beach vacation experiences we seem to end up with scratchy/cheap sheets, on a rock hard bed. Most days were spent out on excursions: --- Cockscomb Wildlife Sanctuary and Jaguar Preserve (Maya Village) --- Waterfall hike & river tubing - $8 US, per person -- 45 min drive --- Mama Noots (Dangria) --- Jungle Zip Line tour - $65 US, per person -- 60 min drive --- Splash Dive Shop - Silk Cayes (Placencia) --- Scuba diving & snorkeling -$120 US, per person -- 20 min drive + 60 min boat ride --- Rum Fish & De Barcelona Tapas Restaurants (Placencia) --- Dinner and drinks - $25 US, per person -- 20 min drive The rest of the time was spent relaxing by the pool and enjoying the nicely equipped house (full kitchen, flat screen TV, DVD player, iPod dock/stereo, and lots of books to read). Everyone in our group kept going on and on about what a perfect set up it was and LOVED the privacy. We didn?t see anyone near the property or on the beach, our entire stay. Most of my interactions before and after booking were directly with the owner, Susan Baier. She was always quick to answer questions and very personable. The detailed ?Belize travel tips? e-mail she sent out was also very helpful. It made our trip go much smoother. We thoroughly enjoyed Belize and our entire stay at the SeaBreeze Villa. Coming from someone that travels 4-6 weeks per year and has been around the world, it was one of the best vacations we have ever taken. ***** Travel Tip ***** If renting a car, pay very close attention to all signs for "Bumps" and "Pedestrian Ramps.? Some of them are HUGE and will suddenly appear on a highway in the middle of nowhere.

We cannot thank Dave and Yvonne enough for renting out their beautiful vacation home! Not only did the place surpass our expectations, but so did the location. Our kids(ages 6 and 8) woke up every morning and had to decide to either play in the pool or the Sea first. The location was perfect for both Maya Beach and Placencia to enjoy local culture! Owners were outstanding with their recommendation for siteseeing, places to eat and general local culture. Often going above and beyond in helping us book local excursions for us. Truly an amazing experience! Thank you, Thanks you! We will refer others and hope to see you again!

We have to thank Yvonne and Dave for renting their little piece of paradise to us. We were there for a total of 10 nights and every night we had a great sleep. The air-conditioning units cool down the house in minutes. We have two daughters 11 and 14. One slept in the downstairs bedroom and the other wanted to sleep on the couch even though there was a pull out cot available. Apparently the couch is really comfy to a 14 year old. A typical day was...Wake up and put on the coffee. Sit on the balcony and watch and listen to the ocean. We saw Dolphins one morning and Manatees another. What a tough life. If we did not go into Placencia we hung out in the pool and in the hammocks reading. We also walked the beach and the road to explore. You can walk out into the ocean a long ways as the bottom is sand. This is both good and bad. If you want to snorkel you have to go a fair distance out. There are no currents so it is safe. The sand bottom is so nice that you can just go out and sit in the warm water and enjoy the view and the sun. The washer and dryer are newer and work well. The fridge makes ample ice for your drinks. There is even a lime tree out front if you like to put lime in your beer. The house is very private and you feel totally safe. Watching the stars at night is amazing as there is almost no light pollution. The drive to Placencia is interesting. There are a bunch of speed humps and you really have to watch for them. It takes about 20 minutes to drive to the village. We sometimes drove back and forth twice in a day. Every time you drove the road you see something different. Yvonne and Dave will provide you so much good information. They are spot on with everything they tell you. If they say use their guide Alrin...please do. He is excellent. Yvonne and Dave have great people that work for them. They are also full of a wealth of information and love to pass it on. I highly recommend Friends for breakfast. It is at the end of the road by the pier to your left. For lunch or supper have fun trying everything. We really enjoyed Wendy's. Wendy is very nice. Do not miss Tutti Frutti. Best Gelato I have ever had. I recommend Avadon if you plan on diving. Great Padi center and the people that work there are excellent. I wish we didn't have to leave.

We rented the entire home for 6 adults and had plenty of room. Dave and Yvonne were awesome helping us with preparations for a 50th party before we arrived and once we got there. The pool was an awesome additional benefit. We were welcomed by extremely friendly people and even went to dinner with them the first night we were there. You will need to rent a car to get to town as it is about a 20 minute car ride, but well worth it. Groceries, alcohol and water are available in Maya Beach just a short 5-10 minute drive. Villa is right on the beach so you can either play in the ocean or the pool. Highly recommend this villa to anyone wanting to stay in the Placencia area.

Swimming pool was just refreshing and having the palapa with the hammock was my highlight of the trip...just relaxing. My 2 girls 9 and 12 just loved hanging out in the pool and making sand castles on our private beach that was cleaned up every day. Listening to the waves at night from the bedroom was my god soooo relaxing :) I really recommend taking Alrin for a tour guide we did Monkey River and Snorkeling/fishing both days were just perfect. My wife and I spent the last 4 days of our honeymoon at this house and it was absolutely stunning. The whole process went smoothly and and it was easy to find and Lus the property manager was waiting for us when we arrived. The house is 3 levels split into a duplex and the other side was not occupied while we were there so we had the pool and beach completely to ourselves. A complete, private paradise. It may be worth noting that the property immediately next door is being built on and soon there will be close neighbors however there are some trees and vegetation so the pool and beach will retain some of their privacy. Maya beach was only a few miles down the road and has a few great restaurants and the small town of Placencia is about a 25 minute drive away. Yvonne provided a list of some great restaurants in the area and some things to do. Because of the more private location you pretty much have to rent a car and for the 2 weeks that we had planned on being there it cost over $1000. I had booked it in advance but didn't realize there is at least one other rental company on the peninsula so I don't know if it would be possible to get a better rate at all. Placencia is small and Maya beach is smaller so if you are into city bright lights and night life somewhere else may be more your style. I personally loved the private tranquility and the small town feel. We drove into Placencia every day we were there and after only a couple days it feels like you start to get to know people. There are also a ton of snorkeling, scuba diving, and jungle expedition tours that are available and run every day so if you are a more adventurous type there is no shortage of things to do. Unfortunately for us, my wife got a call that her grandpa got rushed to the hospital and we had to cut our trip short and book the next flight out of Belize. Because of this we were not able to take full advantage of all there was to do and I really wanted to hire the private boat that people have hired in the past and it came highly recommended. Probably my favorite thing to do was just lying on the hammock outside reading, listening to the ocean surf and breeze through the palm trees, swatting the occasional fly and sipping on a cold bottled Coke. Seabreeze Villa is a fantastic getaway with a lot of options for different types of vacations and I really hope that we can return soon!

Our family of 4 traveled to Belize. Our children 14 and 19 thoroughly enjoyed there stay at the Seabreeze Villa. The pool is a must and the beach so close was very exciting. We woke with tropical birds singing. Limes to pick and banana trees in the back yard. You definitely need at least 8 days to enjoy Placencia and what the property had to offer. More if you want to see the sights. Singing Springs restaurant was excellent in Maya Beach. The food was to die for. Tutti Frutti Gelato in the village is excellent. I loved the fresh produce market in Placencia. They have the best fresh produce in abundance along with fresh eggs and meat to purchase from the freezer. Yvonne was very helpful in preparation for our trip, giving directions and things to see and do while there. Arlin, the boat guide, drove right up to the beach and took us to the barrier reef to fish and snorkel on our own private island!! What a wild ride and well worth the experience, even for someone who has not been in the ocean 20 miles out before. We went during the raining season, only rained one day for 30 minutes. Pretty amazing to see the storm roll in. Very warm weather. The pool will cool you off! We hated to leave and would love do it all over again.
