Reviews for this vacation home rental in Playa Zancudo, Puntarenas, Costa Rica

We spent two weeks in this house and had a wonderful time, except for the bats. Unfortunately, they must be thriving in the roof, and they were so loud that we found it hard to sleep through the night. While we expected some issue with bats after reading previous posts, we had no idea what a problem they were until we tried to sleep in the upstairs bedroom. Once that probelm is resolved, this house will be worth the price we paid. It is clearly the nicest house I have stayed in while vacationing in Zancudo. The house is in a nice spot on the beach where the waves are big enough to boogey board, but no so big that you cannot enjoy a nice swim. The kitchen is well stocked, and Wendy and Dave were very helpful. We cooked much more in this house than we had in the past because the air conditioning made it a pleasant pursuit. I would definitely stay here again, so long as the bats were not such a problem.
Miss it already!

Very nice house, fully equiped, neat, nicely decorated. Nothing bad to say except for the noisy bats in the roof at night but Dave and Wendy said they were working on getting rid of the problem by getting the bats captured and relocated, which will solve the problem. The property is great, you can set up a hammock or go on the quiet beach which is great for surf. I would definately reccomend this place to anyone going to spend some time in Zancudo.

Best of both worlds!

Just spent 7 days in the house. Don't have enough nice things to say. The house offers an oasis with all the comforts of a high-end resort. While still being specacularly remote, (Far away from the throngs of obnoxious tourists.) Dave and Wendy are great hosts. (There when you need them. Invisble when you don't.) They stay in an attached cottage. And can guide you through everything from great restaurants to where to catch a wave. They also chauffered us on rainy nights as we did not have a car. The huge upstairs balcony has tables and couches. It's a great place to wile away the evenings drinking rum punch and watching the surf roll in. Bars and restaurants are easy walking distance in either direction. This house is a rare find. We hope to come back next year!
Great place and the wildlife is spectacular!
No better place to stay in Zancudo!
