“Doggy Vacation”

Reviewed 24 Sep 2016

Really awesome place to stay, especially with our dogs. The chalet is close enough to a ton of cool things to make the vacation excited but far enough away from crowds to make it quiet and relaxing. The lake was really awesome to as well as the canoe. Be sure to visit a winery while you are there or the Mountain Top Lodge for coffee and pastries. Anyway, we will definitely visit again.

the chalet is beautiful and great. loved burning firelogs in the fireplace during the -8 degree weather when i was there. my dogs had a great time too. we cooked great meals. spices are abundant. bring your own oil. owner is very receptive of the things we pointed out needed fixing. very easy to get to and lots of beautiful land. would totally come back.

“Very dog-friendly!”

We had a wonderful time at the Chalet October 23-26th, 2015. We brought two dogs with us who probably had even more fun than we did! The Chalet was prepped with everything that we could need to make our stay comfortable. We especially enjoyed the fireplace. There are tons of trails and roads to walk your dogs on throughout the community. We hope to return again soon!

“Beauty of the nature”

Reviewed 15 Sep 2015

It was our second stay at the Chalet. We were really delighted of coming to the Chalet once again. The community is fantastic. The neighbors are friendly and helpful. The Chalet is very clean and located in relatively secluded area, though close to the lake and beach at the same time. Kitchen has a modern design and is well equipped in all kinds of useful utensils. The beds in all three bedrooms are comfortable and the linens are provided. You can also spend time on the large deck equipped with basic furniture and grill. In the close proximity, there are beautiful state parks and one water park (Camelbeach), lakes stocked with fish (though it is hard to catch anything), slopes for skiing in winter etc. You can meet there deer, wild turkeys, bears, squirrels. The only inconvenience we found was the lack of internet access. Our general impression: it would be great to return there one day.

“great vacation”

Reviewed 17 Aug 2015

My family just spent a week at this Chalet and had an amazing time. The house was great, very cozy and comfortable. The owner was great to work with, very responsive to questions we had, etc...I loved the deer every morning, I miss them now that I am back home in CT. Everything we had planned from white water rafting to hiking, camelback mountain adventures and more were fairly close and easy to get to. I think the longest ride we had to get to our destination was 45 mins at most which was great! I think this is chalet is in a great location in general for all of the fun activities the Pocono's have to offer. We will definitely be going back again.

“Peaceful Retreat”

We just spent a long weekend at the Chalet and loved it! The decor is so cute. It was a very short walk to the lake. We saw LOTS of deer. I cannot wait to go back!

“Everything is there...”

You stay in a nice, cozy chalet. You have quite comfortable beds. You have nice deck with a morning view on beautiful deers walking slowly to the lake. You may spot small bears, not interested in you but very interested in your garbage can. You have four small lakes; three with sandy beeches. You have a canoe and life jackets. You can cook in modern kitchen or eat outside - whatever you prefer. You also have, quite closely, Amish market with tasty eggs, cakes, fruit and veggies. And, most importantly, you are close to five fantastic state parks: the Tobyhanna, Hickory Run, Nescopeck (mushrooms, mushrooms), Lehigh Gorge (biking and rafting) and Big Poconos (here maybe too many rattlesnakes). Altogether, everybody (pets included) will find something interesting, stunning, inspiring - we strongly recommend this place.

“Cozy Chalet”

Reviewed 10 Oct 2013

Our visit to this Chalet couldn't have been better. The Chalet is very warm & inviting. Everyone in the community was very pleasant. If you like wildlife, you will love this place. Plenty of deer, wild turkeys and bears although we didn't see one this time. It can be challenging to find places to take your pets with you. Our dog Arya enjoyed it as much as we did. Thank you Erin for sharing your home with us.

“Good vacation house”

Reviewed 4 Jul 2012

We liked the vacation house would be much better if we had A/c in it , coz it's summer time. Need to carry our own life jackets if we like to use the boat they provided. But over all it's an good vacation house for us
