“Awesome views with morning coffee in lanai!!!”
“Awesome views with morning coffee, dog loves backyard!!!” Absolutely adore this location . Lots of birds to watch as you sip your morning coffee in the lanai. An eagle's nest nearby so can watch mom and dad fly in. Backyard is a treasure, complete with firepit and wood supplied by the owners. Love sitting there with my book watching the boats go by . The neighbourhood is very quiet and everyone waves to you. Mojo our dog loves the freedom afforded by large backyard. Owners are great, friendly and respond to all our questions quickly. Very private which we love after staying in a condo for four years. Lots of restaurants nearby, just love Gators wing night on Tuesday's and Wednesday's and Wally's Ribs. Would highly recommend this home . Everything we wanted was included, towels, dishes, Internet, NEtflixLots of privacy and everything so close including shopping centres, the local YMCA, and the beautiful Port Charlote beach (45 minute walk from house).
Owner's reply: Thanks so much, Marie & Joe, for your review. You are fantastic guests, and it makes us so happy that you are enjoying your stay.
My husband and I stayed here for a week in January. Wish it could have been longer. The property is perfect for a couple or small family. It has everything you could possibly need plus a great kitchen and amazing backyard, perfect for entertaining. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, pots, pans, and appliances. The huge backyard along the canals with shade trees was amazing! We never wanted to go inside. Julie has thought of everything! Definitely recommend and hope to stay again soon!
Owner's reply: Charlotte and Bill, thank you for your glowing review. We really appreciate it. We hope you will have the chance to stay again. Let's make it a yearly event!! Julie & Larry
Hello Julie and Larry! Thank you for my recent stay with you two at your beautiful retreat home away from home. I know my stay was a little longer (8 months) than a regular stay but I have to say I felt like I was on vacation the whole time even building two buildings in the mean time. Everything was very nicely furnished I didn't have to bring anything of my own except for my cloths and fishing poles. I also very much enjoyed the 220' waterfront for fishing and kayaking and just sitting by the fire at night. Thank you again for everything, I hope to see you guys again soon, Love you, Scott Riley
Owner's reply: Thanks, Scott. It was a pleasure having you here. I hope you get another project here next year! Julie
After battling the traffic in congested Cape Coral, my husband and I found this oasis in Port Charlotte. If a quiet property surrounded by some Floridian nature appeals to you- This is the place! Every morning we looked out onto the canal and viewed herons and anhingas, ibises and egrets! Daily we waited for the arrival of an osprey who flew to the tall pines at the end of the yard. And having the canal right there made it easy to put in our kayaks and paddle towards the Peace River. Yet this natural setting is only a few blocks from Tamiami Trail leading to Punta Gorda to the south or Venice to the north. The house was bright and comfortable; also very clean. The owners of the house were excellent landlords. They were only a phone call away and responded quickly to all of our questions and needs! We miss this place- especially seeing the blue heron who flew into our yard each morning. This was a great getaway for the 2014/2015 season!
Owner's reply: Nancy and Jim, we loved getting to know you through your stay, and we gained a friendship!
“Excellent: location, home, & hosts!”
What more could one possibly hope for. This seasonal vacation property is well-located in Port Charlotte: sunny, warm, southwestern Florida. It's close to shopping and entertainment areas, virtually within walking distance, yet sits on a quiet street surrounded by trees and Florida's famous inland waterways. The house itself is well-furnished with a large, well-equipped kitchen. Julie & Larry excel as hosts/owners of the property and are quick to respond/help with any question or concern one might have. Indeed, if the property & location are "the cake", Julie & Larry are "the icing"! Wildlife abounds and one can watch osprey, ducks of all shapes and sizes, anhinga, herons, egrets, and ibises periodically wandering all over the backyard. It's definitely a nice diversion from the cold of the north.
Owner's reply: Thank you so much for your wonderful review, Ken. We thoroughly enjoyed having you here for the season. It's nice to hear how much you enjoyed your stay.
