“Great place to stay”
The owners provided everything we might need, with many nice touches. The best part really is the view. We would sit, nice and cozy, and look over Discovery Bay. We could even see Victoria with binoculars. Very comfortable, very sweet place to stay. We're already thinking about our next visit in the summer.
“One of the best !!”
We loved this place! Drive up to the end of the road to owner's home and wonderful cottage. Lovely spacious one bedroom 900 sq foot with awesome view of Discovery Bay on the Puget Sound. Very Private.... Owners have thought of all the special things that make your stay perfectly comfortable. We would like to come for a week...Many opportunities in this area for sight seeing or just relaxing. Thank you Libet for Aerie Lane
Thank you for the best vacation experience, your home is beautiful, spotlessly clean and the view is superb. We were able to drive to several great hiking spots...truly a wonderful find.
Owner's reply: And thank you Sue, it was a pleasure to have you here.
“Spectacular View and Serene Surroundings”
This is a lovely place to enjoy an Olympic Peninsula getaway. It's very close to Port Townsend, but also a quick jaunt into the Olympic Mountains for hiking, swimming, etc... We stayed for 3 weeks and enjoyed sitting on the deck watching the sunset in the evenings, surrounded by beautiful landscaping...roses, poppies, fresh herbs, etc... I highly recommend checking this place out!
“A relaxing home away from home”
The Aerie House was all we hoped for and more. Our getaways are usually to remote cabins, but even though the cabin (which was quite large and more spacious than we expected) was adjacent to the owners' home, it felt very private. The property is situated on a hill with a great view of Discovery Bay and amazing sunsets. There are woods behind and places to walk and explore right out the door. The cabin also has a nice deck area out front with comfy chairs where it was nice to relax at the end of the day. We saw many birds and there was a hummingbird feeder on the deck and the Rufous hummers put on quite a show all day. The birding highlight was seeing an owl in the evening while it was still light outside, sitting in a tree right outside our back door. The cabin was extra clean. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. The owners were super nice and also gave us a lot of privacy. The early check-in and late check-out times were much appreciated. The resident dog and cat visited at our invitation and both were a joy. Besides relaxing at the cabin, we explored the surrounding area, spent a day in nearby Port Townsend and took a walk around Anderson Lake which is very close to the cabin. There is a lot to do in the area, and next time we'll make it up to Hurricane Ridge. I recommend Aerie House as a great place to stay if you're looking for peace and quiet and natural beauty, while still being close to Port Townsend.
Owner's reply: What can I say? Cheryl was so nice that I wished we had talked more. They also left the place so clean that I felt they had used too much of their vacation time doing my work. My only complaint, and this applies to most renters, is that you're spoiling our dog!
A blissful retreat at the most extraordinary location in Port Townsend. Absolute comfort, quality, and peace for renewing mind, body and soul. A gem to be returned to, time and time again. The hosts are of the utmost pleasurable, kind and accommodating people. We would choose to stay no where else.
Owner's reply: Well this is a bit awkward. Shannon, I don't think you stayed here, but on the other hand that sounds just like us!
Lovely, peaceful surroundings; terrific view; very clean & comfortable & spacious. Convenient location yet in a world of its own. One night too little time so hope to return next year!
“Lovely and peaceful place”
Gene and Libet's apartment is a lovely place in a gorgeous setting, a great view of Discovery Bay and miles of trails outside the door (though we didn't get time to walk). The owners had a book with maps, hints, tips, and helpful suggestions waiting on the table when we arrived. We enjoyed meeting cat Norton and dog Tostada, they were perfectly behaved. Strongly recommend this place for anyone wanting peace, quiet, beauty, meditation, restful sleep, wonderful sunsets.
“little bit of heaven”
Was great and quiet . With the most beautiful vews. About 10 minutes from Port Townsend. Will definately stay there again.
“Port Townsend Mini Holiday”
The cottage exceeded all our expectations with respect to location, cleanliness, furniture, attractiveness and supplies. We even had homemade buns on the kitchen counter upon arriving. The view and tranquillity is incredible. We experienced the most awesome sunset on the Thursday evening. The gardens are also very attractive. I would have no difficulty whatsoever, recommending this location to friends and family.
