Description of the Portland vacation home rental
Private room with attached private bath in lovely restored, art filled Queen Anne home just two blocks from the heart of North Mississippi Avenue. The guest room has central AC and is furnished with a queen size bed, a small sitting area with an upholstered chair, table and a book case with coffee and tea for your use. The room also has desk, fridge, dresser and closet. The attached bathroom has an absurdly comfortable clawfoot tub. This charming room is on the second floor.

A roll-away single bed is also available for a third guest.

You have access to the downstairs, too! The house is eclectic and filled with art and treasures from family travels.

The property is centrally located, very close to the freeway, 7 min. from downtown by car, 15 by bike. It is also very close to public transportation; .3 miles from the light rail line (the 'Max') that travels directly to the city, and two blocks from the '4' city bus that goes to a transfer station on its way to downtown. At the transfer station you can pick up a bus to take you pretty much anywhere else in the city. The Max light rail will easily take you you to and from the airport, as well as downtown and all the way to neighboring cities.

However, you don't need to travel at all once you arrive, as all that makes Portland great is just outside your door. Just two blocks away is the heart of Mississippi Ave. Within a mile there are four music venues, dozens of restaurants and bars, and scores of charming little shops. Take a walk! Enjoy!

No smoking in the house. However, there is a covered patio furnished with chairs and an ashtray.

Area Information
We are just a few blocks from Mississippi Studios - live music - often national acts- pretty much every night. There is a coffee shop just barely over two blocks away - the fresh pot - that serves a lovely cup of coffee. There are clothes shops, shoe shops, award-winning restaraunts, breweries, a fish store, mercantile establishments, a spa, a yoga studio all within that same few block radius. Just about a half mile away is a hidden gem of a Portland park - the Bluffs. From it you can gaze out over the Willamette river, all the way up to the St. Johns Bridge.
