Description of the Poultney vacation home rental
This reproduction post and beam saltbox is true to its historic Vermont roots with hand-hewn beamed ceilings, wide plank heart pine floors, and cozy country kitchen. Situated on 100 acres of rolling fields and woodlands, including a 14-acre fenced meadow, it provides all the warmth and privacy of an antique farmstead coupled with modern comforts. It's truly a wonderful family vacation experience -- children, horses, and dogs welcome.

Very comfortable home

January 2, 2009

I would recommend this property to anyone who wants to experience living in the Vermont countryside. It took us a while to adjust to not having internet and cell phone coverage, but that added to the country experience. The house was very comfortable with everything you would need, with the master bedroom being exceptionally large. The property is expansive and picturesque. Major ski areas are about an hour away as well as Manchester for shopping. We will definitely return.

Owner Supplied Testimonials

We arrived Saturday evening and rushed off to the rodeo at Pond Hill Ranch in Castleton. They have rodeos every Sat night. The kids loved it. We went trail riding there we went to Lake St. Catherine and Emerald Lake in Dorset, shopping in Middlebury. We had a wonderful time here. We really enjoyed the house and the town. The weather was great. We saw a doe and her baby in the front yard.
