Description from owner

This exquisite one-bedroom is one of the most beautiful and special apartments in the picturesque 'Old Town / Stare Mesto' center of Prague. Completely renovated, our 95 sq-meter (1,022 sq-ft) apartment was rebuilt with exclusive designer elegance in mind, mixing high-end, modern amenities with classic features to create a bright, luxurious living space.

We are joining "Vacation Home Rentals" in 2016. We have been renting consistently through other vacation rental websites since 2010, receiving nothing but 5-star reviews from our happy guests. We have had nothing but great experiences with our rentals since 2010, and look forward to even more thrilled responses from our Vacation Home Rentals guests!

Overlooking a tranquil cobblestone square in the Josevof quarter of Old Town, you will find yourself walking distance from all major historic and cultural attractions. Old Town Square and Prague's famous Astronomical Clock are only 3 blocks away. Walk through the winding streets of charming Old Town to reach the Charles Bridge, Wenceslas Square, Municipal House and the Power Gate, all within 10 minutes walk. Prague's historical Synagogues, and elegant Parizska shopping street, are within 5 minutes. Restaurants and cafes abound, as well as bakeries, specialty food stores, and large markets if you choose to cook at home.

All the comforts of home, washer-dryer, dishwasher, fully appointed gourmet kitchen, big, beautiful bathroom, fast Wi-Fi... There is no 'short-term-stay' feeling to our place, (no Ikea furniture!), and we are proud to share it with discerning guests - this is truly a magical apartment!

State of the art kitchen is fully equipped for preparation of gourmet meals, featuring high-end european appliances - Siemens convection oven, cooktop, garbage disposal, dishwasher, and built-in stainless steel microwave oven. Caesarstone countertops highlight beautiful Italian cabinetry by Scavolini.

Master bedroom overlooks a quiet courtyard and features a large open dressing area surrounded by built-in closets and drawers. Heavy curtains provide a dark bedroom for sleeping.

Luxurious master bathroom has double sinks, large jacuzzi tub, separate glass-enclosed shower, heated granite floors and heated towel bars.

All furniture was custom-built in Italy. New parquet floors. High ceilings, built-in and recessed lighting throughout on dimmers. Internal filtration system purifies and softens all water for drinking and bathing. Bosch washing machine and dryer in separate laundry room. Working elevator to apartment on fourth floor. The apartment is safe and quiet -- the church that faces the living room does not chime its bells. Softly and beautifully lit at night, this church gives our square a picturesque and peaceful ambiance.

American-owned. Our guests can reach us by email or phone in Los Angeles, with questions about the property, neighborhood, or for insight or suggestions while planning your holiday. We email our guests a list of our personal favorite sights, walks and restaurants, both on the beaten path, and off. Our local property manager is a UK native who has lived in Prague for 20 years, and additionally offers dependable airport/ train station transfers, and is your personal connection in this magical city.

In 2012, our building underwent a complete and meticulous historic renovation. The building itself is now as splendid as the interior of our apartment, freshly brought back to it's original colors and condition, with a beautifully restored foyer, new elevator and restored facade.

Without a doubt, our location is absolutely ideal. All of Prague's attractions are in walking distance, but our square is tucked away from the tourist hustle-bustle of the busier squares and streets. It is just beautiful! All of our guests over the past 5 years have remarked on our perfect location, so close to everything, yet so quaint and quiet. “Much better than staying in a hotel”

Reviewed 29 Jul 2016

Thanks to a recommendation from a friend in the Prague area, we decided to look for an apartment for the week instead of staying in a hotel. That was the first good decision. The second was to choose this property. It is fabulously located in the Old Town walking distance to both high-end and lower end shops, a slew of restaurants, the Vltana River and all the best tourist attractions; we didn't use a car all week. At the same time, the apartment building was incredibly quiet and we couldn't hear any noise from our bedroom, which overlooks a courtyard. The apartment is so well-stocked that we had everything we needed (of course, purchase your own paper supplies, food and drink). Maia gave us a 3-page list of grocery stores, restaurants, tourist information, etc. that I utilized throughout our stay. The apartment has high ceilings, large interior doors and a "European" feel. The high-end bathroom, changing area and kitchen were added bonuses, and the bed was very comfortable. Due to an unforseen situation of painters in the courtyard, we received a 20% discount, which we hadn't even asked for. Also, the property manager (who is from England) for a small sum picked us up at the airport and dropped us off at the apartment. He shared lots of tips and good advice. We will definitely stay there again if we go back to this area. .

Superb place for a romantic get-away!
5 of 5
We only had three days for our romantic weekend, so I wanted a luxury environment that was close to everything so that we could make the most of our time together - I could not have asked for a better place. Maia, your flat is Amazing! It was everything I'd hoped for and more - it was a huge part of why our weekend together was so wonderful. Maia and David, you were so accommodating and so easy to work with - all around this was a great experience! Thank you so much! -John DEC, 2015

A wonderful apartment!
5 of 5
We had the best time at this apartment. It is so well located about a 5 minute walk from Old Town square but on a quiet street. After spending 10 days walking all around Prague I could not image a better location that gives the combination of access and peace and tranquility.

There are also a number of little touches that we have never found in a rental, hotel style toiletries provided to include miniature "puppy rollers" for getting hair or things off black clothes. Amazing the little touches that did not cost that much but shows how well thought out the place is - not only the love that went into it but from a hosts perspective.

The pictures are accurate, the place is well appointed and beautiful. There is a "mini-mart" in the same block for morning breads and such and many places to eat within a 5 minute walk.

We also appreciated the advice we received to Maia, so many ides of things to do and even with 10 days we ran out of time. My bride wants to return to Prague in a year or two and we hope to find this place still available for rent.

A great option: book it with confidence.

The other reviews are correct: the owner is helpful, the apartment is wonderful, the and the neighbourhood is outstanding. We spend 10 days in Prague and could not believe our good luck.

The description of "High End Designer Luxury in the Heart of Old Town Prague, 1BR, 1.5 BA, Sleeps 2" is most apt. If that is what you are looking for, you found it. I strongly recommend booking this apartment.

Also, if you're looking for a car service, the owner is able to recommend an English (from England) driver long settled in the Czech Republic who is very reliable.

Beautiful apartment in the perfect location
5 of 5
This apartment is situated in the perfect location, it is in a beautiful quiet square overlooking an old church. It is 5 minute walk from almost every attraction in Prague but just a little off the beaten path so that it is quiet. In addition there are numerous excellent restaurants, bistros and coffee shops within a short walk.

The apartment itself is superbly decorated and equipped so that after a long day seeing the sights it offers an oasis in which to relax, cook or just have a drink before going out to dinner.

We will be going back!

Spacious & Luxurious

This place has everything you need. It's in the center of the old town and it's within walking distance to every major sightseeing places. The owner/manager provided everything we needed from toiletries to outlet adapters. The manager, David, picked us up from the airport/to the train station, and gave us a quick run down of the property and places around. David was very helpful and punctual. The bed is extremely comfortable after a long day of walking and doing tourist stuff. I would recommend to any couple who's visiting Prague.

Perfect! 5 of 5
My husband and I stayed in Maia’s wonderful apartment over Christmas. This was our first visit to Prague and we had a fabulous time. You can book with confidence as Maia made the whole process so easy. She was very helpful and provided lots of information not just about the apartment but also about things to do in Prague.

Maia provided David as a contact for airport pick up. He provided us with some golden nuggets of information about our stay in Prague that we found very useful as well as providing such a great and reliable service.

The apartment more than lives up to its description and photos. Very close to the Old Town Square and surrounded by great places to eat and a mini market within a 100 yards. The apartment is very quiet, easy to access thanks to a lift and beautifully appointed. I will miss the Jacuzzi bath and large open dressing area. Really it was a home from home as everything you could need or want was there, even the little things. We wanted for nothing.

A magical apartment in such a wonderful city. Yes, we will return to Prague one day and would stay in Maia’s apartment again without question.

"Great place, perfect location, awesome host"
5 of 5

My wife and I traveled to Prague for the first time, and found this apartment in our search; and fortunately it was available. Many times pictures over promise, this was not the case here. The place is huge, with a full bathroom that was bigger than an entire apartment that we stayed at in Paris. It's a quick walk to many of the sites, and is just a couple blocks from public transit and the river.

Maia provided us with tons of information prior to our arrival including places to go eat and shop.

1 place to add to the list: the brothers k--awesome indian food about a 10 minute walk, and a welcomed change after enjoying traditional Czech food.

The kitchen is stocked as if she lives there full time, and is much larger than typical european kitchens with a dishwasher, full size fridge & freezer, prep area and nice range. There's a nice couch for relaxing, and a well stocked bookcase with many travel books on Prague. And the bed is quite comfortable.

We were even able to do a load of laundry before we left.

Maia was awesome with responses and communication. She has a property manager that even picked us up at the airport and showed us around for a few minutes.
