Description of the Prescott vacation cabin rental
The price is $5000 for 1 night or 30 nights due to the Yavapai County restrictions on short term rentals. All rentals will be 30 nights and $5000. NO EXCEPTIONS !!!

30 Night Minimum Rental!!! This is a large beautiful log and brick home in the forest. Its located less than 8 miles from downtown Prescott, AZ. We have recently replaced the flooring, purchased 2 new flat screen televisions, updated the furnishings and freshened up the pain. This cabin is the BEST VALUE available for the price. Bring your friends and invite additional families because this is a big place. The 5400 sq feet of living area lends itself well to large groups and multiple families. The cabin is located in the Prescott National Forest and there is 2.5 miles of dirt road to access the cabin. We recommend four wheel drive during the winter months in case of snow.

The cabin is rustic and cozy with a game room including a pool table, air hockey, shuffle board and poker table. Outdoors you have a large firepit, horseshoe pit, basketball hoop and play ground swing. There are 2 master suites with full baths and 2 additional bedrooms. The bunkroom sleeps 6 on bunk beds with lower futon mattresses that are great for kids or a family who has multiple young children that want to sleep in the same room. There is also an additional bedroom with a queen bed. The large living areas includes oversized couches and lots of floor space for additional sleeping. The property is on 4 secluded acres. This is a fantastic place to be enjoyed for family getaways, reunions or corporate functions. We are confident you will enjoy your stay and return often.

Area Information
Downtown Prescott shopping, eating and Whiskey row is all less than 10 miles away.

There are hiking, horseback and bike trails throughout the mountain that take you thru beautiful terrain that goes on for miles and miles. You will also enjoy visiting the lookout tower at the elevation of 8600 ft.

Quad and ATV riding trails and roads lead all over Prescott, we often take trips to Lynx lake for breakfast or ride to Crown King for lunch and fun.

We have ridden our quads from Lake Pleasant all the way to our cabin thru Crown King, the trip is about 6 hours of riding and explores beautiful country.

Goldwater Lake is about 4 miles from our cabin and has fishing, volleyball courts and a picnic area. Lynx Lake is also in the area.

Didn't feel very relaxing

May 12, 2015

The property is the owner's home and their family pictures are hung throughout the house. The bedding is that which you would find in an 8 year old's bedroom not a hotel. They do not want you taking food and drink out of the kitchen area. The sauna nor the hot tub work so they should not be advertised as amenities. There are fireplaces everywhere, but no wood to burn in them. On the porch there are heaters filled with bird nests ready to catch on fire. The stairs up to the back deck have no support beam underneath them. I feel that the owners are not suited to having this property they call home and are attached to used by vacation renters. If you plan to hold a gathering there of anymore than 15 people don't even try as they will tell you no. Any noise outside must be ended by 7pm. They are asking good money each night and a $2,000 deposit for a rental that has way too many rules and room for your error to cost you even more of your hard earned money.

Odd situations

October 14, 2014

The cabin with beautiful and the overall stay was comfortable. But finding the cabin was nearly impossible! I also didn't enjoy that the night before we were checking out the water stopped working. It was a touch situation getting our deposit back also.

Big and Cozy

September 10, 2014

The cabin was just what we were looking for, it was large enough for the six of us to have our own space with room to spare. It is on a large property so there was plenty of room to walk around outdoors. Large trees and plenty of wildlife gave us the camping experience with all the comforts of home. It included everything you need for cooking and relaxing, perfect.

Comfortable and homey.

August 22, 2014

We stayed with our entire family of adults and children. It was perfect for us with adults having their own rooms and children sleeping in the "common" areas. There was enough table space for all of us to eat together and all pots, pans, linens, towels, etc. provided.

Loved this cabin!!

July 12, 2014

We had a great time at this cabin!! It is wonderful for people of all ages!! Here's the thing.... it is a cabin in the woods. Yes, it is bigger and nicer than some, but it is still a cabin. If you do not like bugs, indoors and out, don't go. There were plenty of spider friends in the home, and even a bat. There were tons of moths as well. No big deal for us, it's part of being in the woods, for some, they may not like it. The cabin is set up so that people can sleep on each floor. We were able to spread out nicely, giving kids of all ages a chance to play on their own. They have some great toys there, including a wonderful doll house. We brought some b=Barbies, so the two little girls with us were thrilled. The older boys played pool and air hockey most of the time. (The basketball shot was not there.) There were plenty of linens and blankets for us. The pots and pans are not the best, but they worked fine. There is plenty of seating in the home. We had deer come right up to the house. The kids could run around outside as well as the dog. The swing set was a nice touch, as well as the toddler outdoor stuff. Seriously, we could not have been happier. We did get a warm rain every day, but that is common this time of year. It didn't bother us at all. Goldwater Lake is about 10 minutes away and is a wonderful place to spend the day. We also took time to visit the Heritage Zoo Animal Sanctuary. This is a great place that is in the woods but not too far out of the way that you can't run to the store or make day trips in the area. We give it 24 thumbs up!!

As Always, A Great Time !

February 9, 2014

This was our second stay at this property. It accommodated our large family well. The place has a very "homey" feel to it. It is comfortable, clean and spacious. We had a great and memorable time here. Both stays were during the winter months but we plan on renting this property during the summer for a family get together. All in all, very nice !!

Relaxing

January 10, 2014

The cabin is huge and beautiful. Our kids had plenty to do and never got bored. The adults had the option to play with the kids or just relax and watch. We liked it so much, that we plan to do it again sometime soon.

Birthday weekend

November 18, 2013

My family and I rented this cabin to celebrate my 40th birthday. The house was enormous and fit all of us perfectly. With 4 siblings and their families I was concerned about the space but the house was spacious and had something to offer everyone. The game room kept the kids entertained and the kitchen was well stocked for all our meals. We encountered deer on a couple of occaasions, the fireplace was so cozy and the layout of the house offered so much space for everyone to enjoy themselves. The only draw back was the road to the cabin was a bit rougher than we anticipated. The 4x4 recommendation is accurate. But all in all we were more than satisfied with the house and spent a great weekend in Prescott.

Unbelievable Cabin

July 19, 2013

The Cabin is secluded and fabulous. It is huge and isolated. It is a wonderful climb up the mountain. It has all the necessities and in additional fabulous gaming. We would come back in a second. We are from Phoenix and we are already missing the seclusion and scenery. Would suggest a 4X4 due to the climb up the mountain on dirt roads. The owner was fabulous and attentive.

Destination Wedding

December 5, 2012

We chose this as the location to have our wedding, as it would accomadate our guests/family very well, which it did. House was beautiful and spacious and secluded. The bad things were that the hot water doesnt seem to get up to the master bath, the way it should. Also, the gas was not hooked up for lighting a fire in the main upstairs master. Another thing we noticed was that the wifi would not connect. The game room was also in not great condidtion. Dart board and basketball game was gone, as well as the air hockey table being broken. Aside from the above negative comments, this was the perfect house for my type of wedding! I would likely return.

Memories

November 20, 2012

Our family stayed several weeks ago to celebrate mom's 90th birthday. It was a dream vacation situated in this homey cabin in a awesome setting. Everyone including mom was impressed with this cabin! We made memories to last a lifetime in part due to our surroundings. I think a couple of us will use our pictures taken while the surprise snow was falling from the deck for our Christmas cards! Just beautiful.

Great Cabin!

September 1, 2012

This was a great cabin! We went here for our Grandparents 60th anniversary. I highly recommend to everyone! Some warnings, though... There is a door in the bedroom upstairs that opens up to a ledge in the living room. There's a warning on the door, too. Also the cabin runs on a well, so be conservative. There are 2 HDTVs, one in the living room downstairs (maybe 40 or 42 inch TV), one in the family room upstairs (maybe 50-60 inch TV). Also, the cabin has Wi-Fi, which wasn't in the description or the amenities list. Overall, the stay was great! Thank you so much for having us!

Owner's reply:

Hi Jacob,
Thanks for the kind words and great review. I'm glad you enjoyed your grandparents anniversary. Congrats to them! Being conservative with the water is required when you have a large group. The well produces water and there is a 1500 gallon storage tank in the garage that is more than efficient for most groups. The warning alarm will notify the guests when the tank reaches 750 gallons. Also wanted to mention that there is a lock on the door that leads to the ledge and a sign asking people to leave the door closed and locked as well as a large leather chair blocking the door.. I'm kinda surprised you mentioned it. We hope to hear from you again soon!!!!! Thanks Again.

FANTASTIC PLACE FOR OUR WEDDING

July 25, 2012

This was the perfect location for our wedding to take place. The cabin was large enough for everyone to sleep comfortably. Every room was amazing and so spacious. Extra bedding and linens were provided. The kitchen was awesome, had everything we needed. The outside surroundings were amazing. After talking with the family members that stayed there with us, we would definitely like to rent this cabin again for future vacations and/or holidays. The only quirk/complaint(s) we had was that we did not have outside lighting where the vehicles were parked by the garage and with some of the plumbing in the middle of our stay. Also, after talking with the owner and not realizing with the amount of people in our party and the cabin running on a well, we definitely needed to remember to be more conservative with water usage. Overall, our experience staying there at the cabin was simply AWESOME and look forward to renting it again. Thank you John for your help and such an awesome place =)

Very pleased with the cabin

January 20, 2012

Our group of 22 were very pleased with the accommodations of this cabin. There was plenty of room for everyone. The facility provided extra mats for sleeping on the floor and we brought some of our own. We would return to the facility, especially in the summer when we can take advantage of the beautiful forest area.

The Best of the Best

September 26, 2011

We are a Sales Group who every September go somewhere to motivate the Team to close out those final months of the year. This cabin takes you into paradise. There is plenty of wildlife, lots of places to explore with the utmost privacy to just sit back and relax and forget about the normal daily rat race going on in the world. This is a place to call and bring your families - friends - neighbors you will not be sorry. The whole place is done in such a manner you will catch yourself always saying wow. This cabin will be something you will always remember. Just a few miles from downtown Prescott but the cabin itself is so private. Every part of the cabin is done to the utmost perfection so all you need to do is enjoy the peace and quite. Our Team gives this place a 5 Star rating.

Loved our trip to the cool pines of Prescott, AZ!!

July 26, 2011

Absolutely perfect vacation at this Log Cabin Lodge in Prescott! Incredible value for the price!! If you want a secluded location with lots of choices for fun, this is your destination. There is a game room with a pool table, shuffle board table and air hockey table; as well as an outdoor fire pit and quad rentals right on site. Satellite TV and wireless internet is available if needed and the owner is a gracious host, truly caring that we were happy while we were there. Lots of room if you have a big family get together or spread out if it is just for one family! Weather was perfect too!! Definitely will go back next time we are in Prescott!! Thank you, John!!!

Big but careworn and EXTREMELY remote

March 7, 2011

I was very impressed with the size of the cabin and the copious amount of bedding provided (thanks!). This cabin truly can sleep 20 people, no problem. Also, thanks for the internet connection and Cable TV. However, the basic functionality of the cabin lacked (perhaps due to age??) For example: half the light switches didn't work, and the lights that *did* work had about half the bulbs burnt out. Two sliding glass doors did NOT have locks on them (a security issue). The coffee maker took two hours to brew a pot, the frying pans were unusable for cooking (severely scratched teflon), no directions were given for the pellet stove, the jet-tub, or the grill. No dumpster for trash...just a single small outdoor trash can. Not enough kitchen linens or dish soap. Lastly, the location is extremely remote (no cell service, but the land line worked well), and the driveway was extremely steep, so hauling all of our luggage and supplies UP the hill was not a good way to start our vacation weekend, nor DOWN again at the end...exhausting. Bottom line: I would not recommend this property to others.

The "cabin" is a MANSION... "Huge and Beautiful!"

May 14, 2009

You would have to see it to believe it! This privacy location is AWESOME- especially having 4 kids, 4 teens, and 9 adults in one home making so much noise during the day thru the "night" (PARTIES) with "NO" neighbors complaining. This cabin has many rooms for all 17+ people! It has a room/place for everyone to play, eat, nap, sleep, 3 showers, 3 toilets, and 1 huge jacuzzi! Also, it has satellite TV and wireless internet! I can't describe the enjoyment my family, my in-laws, and I had in this cabin! The sad day was leaving. I highly suggest for anyone who has a big family, wants privacy, and have indoor/outdoor fun to rent this place! I promise myself and my family that we will now start planning vacations to Prescott just to rent this cabin! Big Thank You and God Bless to the "Bigelow Family" for allowing me to rent this cabin on short notice for my family and I to enjoy a once in a life time stay in a "MANSION CABIN! Peace and Love- Pasami Family

Really large cabin

March 2, 2009

I hesitate to call a home that is 5000 square feet a cabin, but that is what the owner John calls this beautiful log residence in the hills above Prescott. It is about 2 1/2 miles along a somewhat primitive dirt road, but we arrived in a couple of 15 passenger vans without any problems. The cabin is huge with plenty of room for a bunch of people. The master suite is magnificent with a big jacuzzi tub and both a king and single bed. There are a couple of living rooms and several fireplaces. On the first level there is a game room that the kids would love. While it is located out of range of cell phones, there is a phone at the cabin and long distance is included. High Speed internet is also available. Overall, it was a great place to stay and I would recommend it for those needing a place large enough for a group. It is extremely quiet and private, a great place to get away.
