About the area

The property is located in Progreso Port, just 3 kilometers from the Main Square downtown, on a peaceful neighborhood. There are several convenient stores near by. Public transportation passes a few blocks away from the house, or you can take a taxi, which is not expensive, or rent one of my cars for a very low rate. Progreso downtown has all major banks, three supermarkets: Bodega Aurrera (Wall Mart), Soriana, and San Francisco; good restaurants and shopping. In case that my property "Caglez" is not available, I know several beachfront private properties in Progreso, Chicxulub Port, Uaymitun or Telchac Port., at no cost for you. Properties that belong to my family and friends. Also, if you need to rent a car, I have a Honda Accord, and a SUV Dodge Durango availables, that you can drive for much less money than any car rental agency. Two bikes available for rent. I'll welcome you personnaly on your arrival day! It's never too late to come to Progreso! The Skyboard school is two blocks away. Pizza and Taco restaurant's one kilometer from Caglez.

“Lovely, spacious house on the beach”

Reviewed 5 Nov 2016

We rented this house for the winter in 2014 and really appreciated it. It is very roomy, simply furnished, with a wide porch facing the beach. We spent many house enjoying the breeze there. The pool is lovely, bigger than many in that area, and in the shade for part of the day (for those prone to sunburn). The owners are very attentive and friendly. Leticia speaks very good English and was always available to solve even minor problems. For the price, you cannot find a better beach house in Progreso!

“Better than the photos”

Reviewed 1 Dec 2013

We spend a week at Casa Vero's. The house was far larger than anticipated and very private. Location excellent, walkable to town. Great inexpensive restaurants along the malecon, and another little restaurant close to the house for quick bites with the best guacamole ever tasted. We rented a car and did several outings to mayan ruins, cenotes, and grottos, which we'd highly recommend. Once we got all the quirks taken care of and settled in the place was wonderful. The quirks were just due to human error. We arrived late at night and after travelling all day were disappointed to see that they had not filled the pool prior to our arrival. It took a full day to do this so we were disappointed with this. Check in was handled professionally, and a couple of the shower heads had to be cleaned out as they were blocked from calcium buildup. Things a property manager should have checked prior to guests arriving (being a P.M. I expect these things should be taken care of before guests arrive). There were not enough towels (only 3 bath towels and 5 hand towels for 3 of us) so if you use the house make sure you ask for more. The scariest part of this whole booking was dealing with the booking agent out of Montreal. Disappointed in how they handled things and their rental agreement would be enough to make anyone run. Note everything is extra. (cleaning, internet, pool care, airport pickup) and at a premium price for Mexico. However this does not reflect on the quality and location of the house.

Owner's reply: Hi, this review does not belong to my property. My property's name is CAGLEZ. Ànd the property is always well maintained and the pool full and ready for our tenants. Thank you.
