Description from owner

The main house borders the Chalk Sound National Park, which you can see for miles from the upper floor balcony. The main house has a total of five bedrooms: three on the upper level (one with a queen sized bed, and two with two twin-sized beds), and two bedrooms on the lower level (one with a queen-sized bed, and one with two twin-sized beds). The Guest house has four bedrooms: two on the upper level and two on the lower level. Both floors contain one room with a queen-sized bed and one room with two twin sized beds. There is also ( TWO Pools) one at the Guests house, and one at the Main house.

The windows and doors all have screens, and both houses have an extra screened porch on the upper levels - a rarity among many island villas. Each bedroom has exquisite in-suite bathrooms, with showers in the upper level and shower-bathtubs downstairs.

The main house upper level has a breakfast nook and dining area. The main house lower level has a kitchenette. In the guest houses, both levels have kitchenettes. Each floor in the main house also has a powder room, making a total of seven bathrooms in the house. There is one bathroom on each level of the guest house.

Washer and dryer rooms are located on each floor in both houses, and there are clotheslines outside if you need them. We have a telephone for local calls, and there is adequate parking for at least 5 cars.

A lavish 40 ft. kidney shaped pool serves as the main house's center of fun and relaxation. The pool, which overlooks the Sound, has a water seat built into the center of the wall where you can enjoy drinks while wading in the water. A wet bar and barbecue area entice alongside.

A rectangular 30 ft. by 15 ft. pool is another source of fun and is located next to the guest house.

Emerald Shores Estates is lined with coconut, palm, and 70 other native trees, flowering bushes and plants. Neighboring estates are at least one city block away from the property, so you can be left alone in peace and quiet, making you feel like you're in an inclusive tropical paradise!

About the area

Located in the Chalk Sound National Park, Panasonic views of pure aqua waters alone will take your breath away. In five and a half square miles of aqua waters, you may explore over a hundred small islands and cays with our kayaks. Or just sit back on the dock and listen to the calming sound of the small salt water waves. If you prefer to sit on a beach, Taylor Bay Beach is just a five minute walk down the road, where the waves are only around 3 or 4 inches high (great for small children). There the sand is white and the water is crystal clear. The island of Providenciales is only a 20 minute drive across at its farthest points. Therefore, everything is only minutes away, including activities, churches, etc.

Getting around

Getting around is easy, there are no traffic lights on the Island, just a few road circles to go around, renting a small economy car at the Airport is the easiest way to get around, the Island is small so getting to places is only 10 to 15 minutes drive, there are Taxis, but it tends to be a little expensive after a while, and saves time waiting for them, you can also rent scooters & bicycles there, after booking the house manager can make many arrangements for you, so you don't have to wait on lines.even have the refrigerator stocked upon arrival.

Getting here

All major airlines fly into Providenciales, or (PRO) and we always have someone at the Airport to meet you, & guide you to the property.

Interaction with guest

The nearest neighbors are quite some distance away, so you enjoy the quietness all around, its all yours.

“AWESOME”

Reviewed 22 Feb 2019

This is about 10 years going to Provo. I absolutely love Emerald Shores. Allows the privacy and quiet I want and access to beautiful views and enough room to stretch out.. hang out with friends or just find a lonely little corner to chill.

Owner's reply: Louvere So glad you're still coming to Provo, and especially staying at Emerald Shores, as there's not that many places left that has what Emerald Shores has. Hoping you'll return, as we'd love to have you back. Denis Mullarkey (Owner)

“"Welcome Home!"”

Reviewed 4 Feb 2019

This is our fourth time staying at Emerald Shores. And it really feels like we were back home! Looking out over the balcony at beautiful, serene and breath-taking Chalk Sound is something I never get tired of doing. Staying at Emerald Shores is the perfect place to relax, read a book (or three), soak up some sunshine (when it's below zero in NYC it feels even better), hang out with great friends and have a great time! We are able to blend a mix of eating in with the full kitchen or going out for a meal - depending on our mood. The islands offer many great restaurants. Las Brisas is a short 5 minute drive from Emerald Shores and the food is outstanding! So are the specialty drinks! For us Americans, driving on the "left" side of the road is a bit of a challenge - but several in our group got behind the wheel and safely transported us to shopping, dining, and sight-seeing around Providenciales! Kayaking and swimming - all you have to do is walk out the door and you are there! We had a great time as usual!

Owner's reply: It was great having you back, your welcome anytime, if we can ever make the place better please let me know, and thank you again. Denis Mullarkey (Owner)

“Always Great Memories”

Reviewed 29 Jan 2019

I've been to Emerald Shores several times over the last 10 years and have made many wonderful memories with family and friends. The property accommodates a large group comfortably. The view of Chalk Sound is mesmerizing and the dock makes it so easy to enjoy the kayaks, swim or snorkel. There're two pools and a lovely landscaping as well. There's always a sense of adventure driving around the island and finding new places and things to do. US currency is used making it all the more convenient for traveling from the States. It's also less than four hours from NYC, making it a great place to thaw out in the winter months.

Owner's reply: So glad you enjoyed yourself, its great to see, Guests returning, which tells us we must be doing something right, hope you continue coming down, and enjoying the Emerald Shores Estate. Denis Mullarkey (Owner)

“Beautiful place to stay”

Reviewed 29 Jan 2019

Right on Chalk Sound. Nice dock to lay in sun. Kyacking was great and lots of fun. Rooms were nice. Plenty of Air Conditioning, if needed. Fully equipped kitchen. Pool area plenty big and nice.

Owner's reply: So glad you enjoyed your stay, was great to have you, hope that you return in the future, and thank you for the kind words. Denis Mullarkey (Owner)

“Spacious tropical waterfront escape”

Reviewed 29 Jan 2019

Located in an upscale residential neighborhood. Close enough to the airport and shopping but far enough to be quiet and private. Short walk to beautiful Taylor Bay Beach, which has calm water and the softest sand in the world! Also try Sapodilla Bay, which has food, drink and lounge chairs and umbrellas for rent, and even jet skis. But with 2 pools and a dock, you might not want to leave Estate! Had excellent conch chowder at Danny Buoys, and the Thursday night fish fry in town was fun (but go early for easier parking and shorter lines).

Owner's reply: Thank you for the nice comments, so glad you enjoyed the Emerald Shores,Estate, and I hope to see you back again sometime, as you would be very welcome. Denis Mullarkey (Owner)

Owner Supplied Testimonials

Hi Denis - Thanks for the note. We greatly enjoyed our stay at
Emerald Shores and TCI overall. As you described, the home has a wonderful wide open airy feel, and the views from the living area are spectacular - waking up to have coffee and read
my book on the balcony every morning was a true pleasure.
Although it was very windy and choppy on the sound the entire
time we were there, we did manage a couple of excursions on
the kayaks which were a great work out and a real treat to be
out on those waters. Taylor Bay and Sapodilla Bay beaches
could not be more beautiful. Wow, those clam, crystal clear,
shallow waters and powdery white sands are exactly what I
dream of when I imagine the perfect Caribbean getaway;
those beaches in such close proximity to the house were truly
blissful. So overall, the stay at Emerald Shores was a real
pleasure and will be a cherished family memory for all of us.
All in all we had a wonderful time and greatly enjoyed our stay.
Your home and location are beautiful and we will definitely be
back to TCI- Thanks again Joel
