OK THIS is the place to stay in Costa Rica. Located at the edge of world famous Corcovado and with views of the Golfo Dulce, you will never stay in a more imaginative tropical vacation home. With 5 levels and a spiral staircase which take you into this Disney inspired Swiss Family Robinson style tree, this is a place to find your inner child again. It is a HOME in a tree- sleeps either 6 in 3 BRE or 8 in 4BR (please ask about the 4BR as the rates listed here are for 3BR max 6 people) Full kitchen, 2 full baths, fully furnished- even has WiFi, flat screen and satellite TV! Please note:WiFi works most of the time but if it is out or too slow for you, there is internet in town a few miles away!

Staying in our Tree House is an "Upper unity" (opportunity!) of a lifetime. Our 6 level, 3 bedroom, 2 bath tree house wraps around a giant rainforest tree and boasts wonderful 360* views of Corcovado National Park and The Golfo Dulce ( Sweet Gulf ). We have created a luxury "Swiss Family Robinson / Elegant Gilligan's Island " decorator motif, including amenities such as Egyptian and Turkish linens. When seeing our Tree house for the first time, 50' up in the air, you will first be stunned, and curious as how we got a 1200 sq. ft. home up into a tree. All 6 levels are furnished with exquisite taste and décor, hot water, electricity and all bedrooms have reading lights, and are screened in with small fans to keep you cool. You might need a blanky in the middle of the night as it is much cooler in the canopy than on the ground and especially at the beach, yet we are only minutes rorm beaches. The house can sleep 4-6 comfortably. Our tree house has been described by world famous tree house builders as world class !
Amenities include -

· 3 Queen Size Beds / Screened in Bedrooms ( living room converts to 3rd bedroom ) When rented as a 4BR there is also a king size bed & sleeps 8 total.

· Stunning Views of Corcovado National Park

· Ocean View & Beaches only 10 minutes away

· 2 km of hiking trails within our 120 acre. rainforest reserve

We are 13 km (8 miles) N. of Puerto Jimenez, on paved roads, where you will find banks, restaurants, groceries, gas stations, great beaches and a few of us crazy ex-pats enjoying a cold beer. Our tree house is perfect for couples, families, reunions and school groups. Our tree house is very secluded, romantic and private. The canopy explodes each day with birds and Monkeys performing their acrobatic and gymnastics show as they pass by, over and under and thru the tree house. Get the kids to bring you coffee in bed while you watch the morning monkey is a must! Skylights above the breakfast area and bath provide direct views above and into the canopy. This tree is full of surprises. Truly an animal's lovers and birders dream. One could describe the feeling as "Living The National Geographic Channel- Live!" Where birds, and monkeys play around you all day. A once in a life time experience not to be missed.

White Face Capuchin, Congo "Howler" Monkeys, Titi ( Squirrel ) Monkeys,4 types of parrots, Tayras, River Otters, Agoutis, Jagarundis, Pizotes ( Coatamundis ), Slaty Tailed and Bairds Trogans, Scarlet Macaws, Chestnut Mandibled and Fiery Billed Aracaris Toucans, Blue Crowned Motmots, Tanagers, Orange Manikins, Ibis & Egrets, Blue Herons Kingfishers ,Blue Morph Butterflies, Laughing Falcons, Eagles, Kites , Hawks, Falcons, Woodpeckers, Basilik & Jesus Christ Lizards, Iguanas & Poison Dart Frogs....just to name a few.

You really do not have to go anywhere to see wildlife, the wildlife comes right to you! In our organic garden you will find Pineapples, Breadfruit, Yuca, Lemons, Limes, Papayas, Sugar Cane, Oranges and Bananas. Wild Cilantro, Basil and Oregano grow in the garden area year round. Flower lovers will enjoy our Orchids, Helaconias and Bromeliads in our garden. Just below our tree house is 2 km of hiking trails through 120 acres of spectacular primary rainforest. Only 3 homes in our reserve, Don't miss the Blue Morph, Bamboo & Ridge Trail. This is the tree house you always dreamed about as a kid ! Luxurious, secluded, private and nestled between the edge of the rainforest and minutes to beaches.

tree house in puerto jimenez

January 12, 2010

The tree house in puerto jimenez was an amazing, unique experience. It felt like a childrens storybook. It was alot larger than i had expected with 3 floors. It is in the middle of the rainforest, and is extremely private with no one else around. There is nature and animals all around. I would recommend it to anyone that wants an unforgettable experience.
