Beach Without Boring

Casa Sol y Mar at The Park is a 2-bed, 2-bath, 2-terrace condo just one block from the beach in the most convenient section of Old Town (Romantic Zone). No hills to climb!

Our fourth-floor end-unit condo features an owner-customized floor plan to ensure two master suites, if desired, windows in every room (including the bathrooms), a step-out balcony in the main master, an enlarged kitchen/family room area, and an extra-large terrace off the living area.

Attention To Detail

Professionally decorated by Crate Interiors and featuring resort-quality linens from The Distinguished Guest, Casa Sol y Mar at The Park provides extra water filtration at the sink and refrigerator, a 50-inch flat screen TV, in-unit WIFI, in-unit washer and dryer, stainless steel appliances and granite/marble countertops.

The family room includes a couch with pull-out twin-sized trundle bed for a 5th guest.

Gearing Up For The Sky Terrace

Guests can load up our pool cart with towels, drinks and snacks and head up one of two elevators to The Park's Sky Terrace - the emerald-pool and gold-tiled crown of this modern six-story building offering 50+ units. The Sky Terrace features a semi-Olympic, heated saltwater pool, loungers, outdoor grill and food prep area, dining tables, wet bar, bathrooms, outdoor showers.

There are covered lounging areas with flat screen televisions, barbecue and food prep area, couches for lounging, and plenty of comfortable poolside loungers. The views of the Banderas Bay, Old Town and the surrounding mountains never get old.

New Condo, With Old Town Charm

The Park, completed in November 2014, is a 50+ condo building with architectural details in keeping with the red-tiled roofs and quaint cobblestone streets of this beautiful Pueblo on the Pacific. The building features a gym, front desk and 24-hour security, as well as free WiFi in the lobby and on the pool deck.

Never-Boring Romantic Zone

The building is ideally located just one block from the beach, the bay and the boardwalk (Malecon). It is situated on the bus route for easy, inexpensive transportation to many of Vallarta's top attractions. It is also central to the vibrant shopping, cultural events, Saturday Farmers' Market (seasonal), and the dining and club nightlife of Old Town, including The Blue Shrimp, Daiquiri Dick's, Joe Jack's Fish Shack, The Palm, Si Senor, La Palapa, and many local dance clubs.

Be Our Guests

One cleaning is included for stays of 5 or more days. Stays of more than a week can expect one cleaning per week. Additional cleanings can be scheduled for $50. In an effort to be green and conserve energy, we ask guests to rely on ocean breezes more than A/C and to not run the units when gone from the condo or when windows are open. Guests who book for 10 or more days will pay for electricity, which will be read at the meter on the days of arrival and departure.

About the area

Old Town, Puerto Vallarta, is also known as the Zona Romantica (Romantic Zone.) It is a popular destination in Puerto Vallarta for its Old World charm and convenience to most of the best restaurants in the city.

Getting around

So much of Vallarta is within walking distance. You just need to be prepared for some hills if you go into town. There is a non-stop local bus network that is very inexpensive, and taxis are also always at the ready to take you wherever you need to go. They are very reasonably priced.

Getting here

Most guests fly into the Puerto Vallarta airport and take a taxi to the Old Town area, which is about 12 miles. Taxis are very reasonably priced, and we have never felt the need for a car because we either walk or take the buses or taxis to get around.

Interaction with guest

We are so glad you've booked with us. We try to be very responsive to our guests via email. We also have a property manager in Vallarta named Aaron, and he or someone from his team will meet you at the building the day of your arrival, show you how to use the keycard to get in and out, take you upstairs to the condo, and answer any questions.

Smack Dab in the Middle Everything - My wife and I and another couple rented this beautiful condo for our annual Mexican Vacation. Somewhere, somehow, we started coming to Mexico the first week of January many years ago and the tradition continues. Along the way, we fell in love with Puerto Vallarta and this was our third visit. First year we stayed on the edge of old town, the next year we stayed on the beach out by the cruise ships. With this in mind, we have decided downtown, in the romantic zone is the place to be. Good shopping, great restaurants, fun street scenes, music, merriment and a cool beach too. They say this condo is one block from the beach, let us tell you it is a short block. You can go out the door, walk 77 steps and find yourself with a front row seat of the beach. If you head the other direction, it's a block to one of the best late night taco stands in the area. Dress shops, trashy souvenirs, farmers market and great street scenes all hang just outside. Oh, I almost forgot to tell you about the condo. Comfortable beds, nice big screen TV, thick luxurious towels, nice art, ultra cool everywhere. The kitchen is equipped with anything you might need to cook yourself a deluxe gourmet dinner. Including my personal pet peeve, good knives. Speaking of dinner - a block away are two great fresh seafood markets. We got the blue tuna one night and some giant shrimps the next. This place is unique in it's roof top infinity pool. Nice sized enough for laps or great for watching the sun set. The rooftop also has a great place for grilling (see shrimp story) or enjoying a bottle of wine at sunset. Further, the roof is equipped with an auxiliary kitchen in case you want to prepare a meal up there. But, please don't cook all your own food. The best breakfast spot in PV is a block and a half away. The best el Pastor tacos are a block in the other direction. There is a chicken stand just 3 blocks away where you can get a full carryout rotisserie chicken dinner for 7 bucks. The flavor will blow your face away. After dark the whole area comes alive with music and dancing. We would have gone but the sun set wine wore us out. I know some of my Gringo friends are wondering this. The water is good. And, my Spanish is "nada". The people here are friendly to a fault and you'll have no issue. Finally, there really are Chihuahua dogs everywhere. Check out Alley's dress shop half way from the beach to the condo. She has three of the cutest ever.

A Perfect Gem in the Heart of Los Muertos - Casa Sol y Mar at The Park is not only ideally situated - shops, beach, restaurants and bars - it's also perfectly set up! The beds, bedding, appliances and furniture made you feel like you were staying in a high-end hotel, which is a much better option than the hotels in old town. Another bonus: 0 stairs. While my group was 4 able bodied 30somethings it was really nice to not be hiking up and down to get to the beach and restaurants. Steps from the park, beach and malecon this property is very convenient for those who can't or would rather not make the daily trek. Stacey responded immediately to emails, provided lots of information and was very helpful and organized. I've rented in Puerto Vallarta many times and found her to be the most attentive host! The staff at the condo is great, the rooftop pool a delight. There really isn't much more to say other than I hope they keep it up. H|H

Beautiful mountain views - The condo is in an awesome building and location. We've traveled to Vallarta for years now and were often disspointed to find places that were often dated or high up isoloted in the hills. The Park building is brand new, modern and at only 6 stories tall still intimate enough to not be overwhelming to the area. The building staff was always very curtious and welcoming. We loved the mountain views that you get from each and every room of the condo and very much enjoyed opening up the terrace so we can have our meals and drinks outside. Besides the views all the windows made it great to let those cool ocean and mountain breezes come through. The kitchen is large and very well equipped for making even extensive meals. The roof terrace was great for relaxing. It's large enough to spread out and relax and the pool is great for those wanting to practice their laps. The area is already pretty active during the day but we really looked forward to those evenings when the neighborhood would come alive. Make sure to catch the Saturday market at the nearby plaza/ park! Only wish we had more time to stay longer!!
