Just an hour from Puerto Vallarta, a newly built cabins with all conveniences

New cabin with swimming pool and outdoor grilling and dining area. Just 1 mile from town of El Tuito, an interesting trading and ranching town nearly 500 years old. The cabin has Sky TV. Cell phones work perfectly. 24/7 security. Maid service. Washer and dryer. Excellent water from our own well. Beautiful views over the Tuito valley with mountains on the horizon. Hiking on site by simply following the circular road on this 17 acre property. Excellent bird watching.

Beds: 1 King Bed, 4 Double Beds

“wonderfull place”

Reviewed 26 Apr 2016

My wife and I grew up in Northern Wisconsin. Spending time in a cabin in the woods has been a family tradition. We were vacationing last month in Puerto Vallarta and heard about a cabin development called Tierra Alta located about an hour south of Vallarta. We checked out the website. The photos were gorgeous. It looked like our cup of tea (and, frankly, the heat and humidity and the crowds in Vallarta were getting to us). Off we went in our rental car south along the beautiful coastal highway not sure what we’d find and hoping for the best. What we found was tranquility and the cooler climate in the foothills of the Sierra Madres. We also found a cabin with sophisticated amenities that was tastefully decorated in traditional Mexican colors and decor. Everything looked brand new. It was obviously well cared for. The kitchen is fully equipped but since the quaint town of El Tuito is only a couple kilometers from Alta Vista we decided to eat our (very inexpensive) meals there and become familiar with a piece of genuine “Old Mexico”. El Tuito itself was worth the trip. A perfect get-away.
