The fishing is great year round. Our cottage sits on the western shoreline in a secluded cove with only 3 other cottages on the 3/8 mile road, Kossow Lane. People find our rental to be most secluded, relaxing, serene and just great for small families to reconnect with each other. Sit outside at evening by the fireplace, listen to the loons and cook marshmallows. There are many outside activities and we supply a listing of all that there is to do. Crescent Lake lies in the Towns of Raymond and Casco, Maine. It is 4 miles long and 2/3 mile wide at its widest point. The maximum depth is 54 feet and fishing is good year round. Crescent Lake is a good size for moderate boating and is relatively quiet. Crescent Lake connects to Panther Pond which then feeds into Sebago Lake. The Tenny River links Crescent Lake and Panther and is navigable.

Reviews for this vacation cottage rental in Raymond, Maine
Beautiful and peaceful
June 29, 2014
We loved the A Frame. It was gorgeous, the lake was mostly quiet, and it had all of the amenities we needed. It's relatively secluded and the fishing is fantastic. We loved the fire pit, the canoe and kayaks, and the docks. The kitchen is fully stocked, the bathroom is large for a camp, and the place was incredibly clean. We would rent from them again. Bring beach toys for toddlers, but otherwise they have you covered. We only had two minor complaints: It's fairly close to the lodge next door and the neighboring guests did not supervise their small children well. They were allowed to wander into our yard repeatedly. Be careful putting food in the fridge - it was on a low setting but freezes food and ruined all of the produce that we had in the back half of the fridge.
beautiful lake side cottage

Our family of 5 from the UK had a stunning week at this cottage. The lake is incredibly beautiful and in August was warm enough to swim in endlessly. My sons spent hours diving from the pontoon and we all used the boats - the sunfish was easy to sail and the canoes were great. The area is interesting - there is good whale watching in Portland (saw several Minkes), and gem finding was also a big hit. The cottage has a beautiful main bedroom overlooking the lake and the children loved the attic room that sleeps 2. I would thoroughly recommend this cottage.
Quiet. Peaceful. Just Beautiful!

Spending the week at the A-Frame has to the best vacation decision I have made. It is a quiet, peaceful spot that offers the best of camp life. This is a very comfortable camp that offers great views, perfect paddling, and wonderful swimming. Although we choose to stay at the lake the whole week, there are ample opportunities for day trips from shopping to hiking to sight-seeing. The camp was clean and well equipped with everything we needed (lots of fans as it was a hot week, made the sleeping very comfortable). One of the highlights, and there were many, was the bald eagle that spent part of a morning perched in a tree just off the deck. I truly hope that a week at the A-Frame becomes a yearly tradition!!
