Description from owner

Relaxation takes over as you pull into the driveway and see the lake water of beautiful Thomas Pond. The clear water is almost always calm enough to waterski, tube, kayak or just watch the loons and fishing is excellent. The waterfront has a 20' dock that is 5' deep at the end, the swimming area has a sandy bottom. This lake is a mile across or better and is 62' deep. It is extremely clean as it is spring fed. There are two kayaks and a canoe for paddling and going on an adventure. This lake has wonderful sunsets behind Mount Washington which are spectacular. There is a convenience store within walking distance. The cottage has wood floors and tongue and groove walls. This is a year round home so the walls and ceilings are insulated. The kitchen has common appliances. There is also a small deck overlooking the lake with a small gas grill. The private waterfront patio is concrete and has comfortable chairs to help enjoy the day. there is an island off to the left that is a nice kayak paddle for beginners. This is a neighborhood so it is a nice short walk to the neighborhood sandy beach. Evenings are enjoyable as there is a small portable fire pit for a campfire while watching the sunset and making s'mores. Excellent Restaurants, night clubs and yes a drive-in theater are within driving distance. Also, Golf, skiing, hiking and shopping, North Conway and Freeport outlets are only a short drive. The mall is 25 minutes away as is the airport. The cottage itself has a full kitchen, two bedrooms, living room, and a breakfast nook for eating, reading or playing a game while looking over the lake. Wireless internet and cable TV are also included. Linens are not included.

Beds: 1 Queen Bed, 3 Twin Beds

About the area

This is great location as the lake even at the busiest time of day only had 3 boats. Unless people are fishing, the boats here are people who live on the lake. Raymond is located between Naples and North Windham. There are plenty of restaurants, night clubs and shopping. There is a great little ice cream shop in Raymond called "Mosquito" and they are extremely reasonable and the ice cream is wonderful. Deckhouse, Breys Brewpub, Captain Jacks, Dena's, Buck's Naked BBQ and various chain restaurants

“Thomas Pond”

Reviewed 8 Sep 2016

Amy was wonderful to work with. I emailed multiple people and Amy was very quick to respond. Coordinating our arrival was easier than I thought it would be and could not have gone any smoother. I hadn't even been to the cottage yet and was super impressed. Arrival was easy and at my leisure. Entering the cottage was very nostalgic for me and I felt the excitement of being at camp like I was a kid again. A one page note greeted us with all the info we needed like trash details, wifi and safety info. The kids were in the water within 20 minutes of arriving. Amy has 2 kayaks, a canoe, paddles, floats/inner tubes and multiple life jackets available to use. The weather was excellent while we were there and we actually used the air conditioning a few times. My absolute favorite thing about this location was the dock and swim area because it had partial shade all day! The neighboring camp on one side was empty and the other neighbor was extremely friendly with a confession that she loved hearing the kids play and enjoying themselves. After 4 nights, we didn't want to go home. Our last day there, I looked at the camps availability online and added an extra night. The kids were beyond excited. Amy was super to work with and I can not wait to book our time on Thomas Pond for 2017!

Owner's reply: Tammi you folks were wonderful to work with too!! Thank you!

“Perfect camp setting”

Reviewed 24 Jul 2016

Very clean and just a perfect size camp with that camp feel/smell. The porch, deck and dock offer the perfect view od sunsets and a very peaceful pond. Early morning and evening kayak and canoe excursions (included) were awesome! Very private and a great value for the price.

“Beautiful, quiet and serene”

Nice little cottage. Loved the backyard with the beautiful Thomas Pond. Little island right next which was awesome kayaking to. My husband loved the fishing off the dock and having a campfire on the dock in the evening was very nice. The cottage had everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable except the mattress was on the floor without a bed frame which made it harder to get in and out of. I would recommend this cottage.

Owner's reply: Thank you Debra. The mattress is a memory foam mattress. It is on a stand that has been raised to remedy the height, it was never on the bare floor.. Thank you for the feedback.
