“Military Motorcycle reunion”

What an incredible place with the best hosts in the world! Jim and Debbie were THE ABSOLUTE FINEST! Beautiful location, quiet, charming, and accommodating to 10 motorcyclists who had the most relaxing experience around the fire, in the living areas, and all around. Thank you, and Semper Fidelis! Ignatius

Owner's reply: I was a pleasure having you and the group stay at our rental. Thank you for your service and for the kind words.. Hope you can come back to stay in the near future. Regards, Debbie & Jim

“Great accommodation right on the water!”

Reviewed 1 May 2016

This is a super roomy home with a large kitchen, plenty of sleeping room, and a beautiful yard and dock for fishing! Kitchen is fully equipped with microwave, oven, stove, dishes, pans, utensils, and 2 coffee pots! Large kitchen table, two TV rooms, and porch. The owners are very, very nice and we enjoyed sharing stories with them. Had a great stay during our time in Reedville to go fishing with Capt. Ryan on the Midnight Sun! Thank you to the Haynie's!

Owner's reply: Susan it was great meeting you and your group. I am so glad you enjoyed your stay and hope you will return again soon. Thank you Debbie

“Fishing Get Away”

Always have a great time staying at the Haynies. We have stayed here several years now on our fishing adventures to the bay. The house is always clean and has a great location just off the back water. Local amenities are not far and it sits in close proximity to several marinas in the area. This is always our first choice when staying in the area. Looking forward to staying here in the future.

Owner's reply: Brian we are always glad to have you and your group stay at our vacation home. We appreciate your continuing business and hope you will come back to see us in the future. Have a safe and a great year. See you in April 2017. Debbie

“Gets better every year!”

Reviewed 19 Aug 2015

This was my family's third year staying here. The home is very comfortable and charming. You couldn't ask for a more relaxing setting! Crabbing, fishing, and boating are just a few steps away. Everything you need for a memorable vacation experience is located here. I feel at home here and my family has made so many memories each time we come. The Haynies feel like family members and we look forward to seeing them each summer. Can't wait to visit the beautiful area again next year. This is a great place for my extended family to meet from all over the country to relax and enjoy a wonderful time together.

Owner's reply: Amanda we have enjoyed having you and the family for the past 3 years at our place in Reedville. I am so glad it makes you feel like you are home. Hope to see you and the family next year. Debbie

“Treasured Memories”

Reviewed 22 Sep 2014

A beautiful vacation in every sense of the word; however, the most treasured of our memories were the owners, Jim and Debbie. If ever, you are trying to find the most entertaining, gracious, and wonderful people in the world, go no further than Jim and Debbie Haynie. They portrayed 100% friendship for ALL of our family. If we were asked to add to the amenities, we would have to add the owners as the most enjoyable asset ! An old farm house, in which Jim was born, covered ALL of our needs: linens provided, flat screen TVs, radios, fully equiped kitchen, outside grill, outside fire pit, cozy interior, and almost anything else one could ever imagine. Our children, siblings, and friends enjoyed sitting outside under two enormous oak trees reminiscing old tales, new tall tales, LYING (made up tales) that were amusing to ALL. A remarkable scene for family gatherings under the old trees, the water views, nicely built pier and deck, boat rides, and lots MORE ! We took advantage of a guided boat excursion with Debbie procuring tickets from Reedville's quaint museum. The tranquil countryside made the Haynie rental the best place to be. Gratitude and happiness would be inept terminology to describe the owners and the comfortable rental. A great experience !!!! We will definitely be returning for our third straight year !!! !

Owner's reply: Vicki and Tony we have really enjoyed having you & family members stay at our vacation home. Hope you will be able to come back and stay with us again in 2015.

“Beautiful and relaxing stay on Sloop Creek”

Reviewed 8 Sep 2014

I was fortunate to book a last-minute Last Week of Summer stay at the Haynies's delightful creek side farmhouse. My family & I had a lovely relaxing time, crabbing & fishing off the dock, boating & swimming. The shady fire pit area overlooking the water was a great hangout spot and always delightfully breezy & comfortable. The Haynies were wonderful 'hosts' (they live next door) & were most generous with their time, their help (when needed) & even shared their crab catch with us. The kitchen was well equipped & the accommodations were comfortable; the A/C and many fans kept the house nice and cool. And the price v. reasonable. A great time had by all!! Thanks Debbie & Jim!!

Owner's reply: We enjoyed having you and your family stay with us at sloop creek. Hope you will visit us again. Thank you for the great review and take care. Thanks Debbie

“Perfect family vacation spot”

Reviewed 29 Jul 2014

This was our second year at the Haynie's lovely, riverside house. The house is comfy like home with every kind of cooking utensil and appliance you could want. Flat screen t.v., cable and now wifi. But we mostly love the outdoors -- large lawn, firepit under a great shade tree, dock where we caught enough fish and crab for a fish/crab feed. Very comfortable and the Haynies are easy-going, genuine hosts. It was perfect for our family.

Owner's reply: Brenda it was great having you and your family stay with us again this summer. Hope to see you again next year. Debbie

“Great Family Fun”

Reviewed 5 Aug 2013

Our family had a wonderful time. The house is super comfy -- after renting for 35 years, the owers anticipate your every need. The fishing dock is a few steps away - we caught croakers and crab-- enough for two meals. A sitting area around a fire ring was also a favorite of our crew. The setting is beautiful and peaceful. We had a great family gathering -- three generations (and we're the oldsters now!) We are already planning to come back.

“Cockrell licious!”

Reviewed 9 Nov 2012

We had a great time in this nice quite place right on the water! This is for quiet and easy times. If you are looking for rides and boardwalk French fries, go to another place. Lots of peace and quite here! Beautiful sunrise and sunsets on the water. Cockrell's Seafood for lunch every day while we are here! Homeowners are wonderful and friendly! Had a problem with a flat tire and they were able to help out! Look forward to our return next year! Happy Client!

Owner's reply: Thank you for the great review. Looking forward to seeing you next year.

We always enjoy coming and staying at sloop Creek. The dock is a very peaceful place to sit and relax. I really like the big kitchen. We can all fit in and have dinner together. We will return next spring for fishing and making memories. Just a awesome place and I'm glad we found it.
