Description from owner

Tall Tree Retreat is a 1250 sq ft lakeside home on Table Rock Lake. This home has a short 150 ft. walk to the shoreline on a beautiful nature trail. It also offers phenomenal panoramic lake views of Table Rock Lake. The Retreat is on a private peninsula-like area of the lake (see aerial photos). This is not a condo or a "cabin" with rentals on top of each other! You are truly in a secluded setting with a private, gravel road leading into our own wooded lakefront area. However, Branson is only 20 minutes away and Eureka Springs is only a short 45 minute drive.

If you are looking for peace and quiet from the hustle and bustle of Branson or a great place to fish, swim or relax, this is the place for you! Have a picnic on the lake shore or sit on your own private deck off the upstairs suite. Watch the Branson Belle pass by or take in a beautiful sunrise and sunset.

This home comfortably sleeps up to 5 people with two queen beds, and a queen pullout sofa bed. Both bedrooms have private bathrooms, with either a large soaking tub (downstairs) or a large jet tub(upstairs).

New furnishings, earth tone colors, rustic decor and huge windows throughout make for a comfortable and serene setting among the trees. Quality beds and linens set this home apart from many other rentals or hotels. No scratchy sheets here!

Bass Pro Marina is nearby for any lake rentals. The State Park Marina is just across the lake by boat. Or, bring your own boat and use the Old 86 Campground access approximately one mile away. You can also tie-up outside the property or swim and fish in the quiet cove. It is then a short walk on the trail to come back to your home whenever you need!

Wonderful restaurants and shopping are within a few minutes drive. Branson Landing is approximately 20 minutes away. An excellent day trip is Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Dogwood Canyon is our favorite getaway for those looking for more of an outdoor experience. Silver Dollar City/White Water and all the shows you can imagine are nearbybut you don't have to deal with the traffic and crowds!

Tall Tree Retreat is a place you will want to come home to while enjoying a vacation in the Branson area.

About the area

This home is 20 minutes south of Branson, Missouri. Branson is known for it's pristine Tablerock Lake in addition to Lake Taneycomo and Bull Shoals Lake. All of the area lakes offer great fishing as well as plenty of water sports. Within the city itself, there are many outlet malls and a variety of different shows for everyone's liking! The Branson Landing is one of the newest features of Branson and boasts great stores and restaurants, including the famous Bass Pro Shop. For those visiting with children, Silver Dollar City and White Water are the two most popular stops! Just a short 45 minute drive is Eureka Springs, Arkansas. It is a charming little town with historic homes and quaint shops. Dogwood Canyon is about 15-20 min west, great spot for bike rides (rentals available) and picnics! Boat rentals are about 5 minutes away at Bass Pro Long Creek Marina. Feel free to tie up on shore and walk 150' to the house or build a fire and grill on your own private shoreline. Big Cedar Lodge and Top of the Rock have multiple restaurants and are only about 5 - 10 min away from the house. Our favorite is the Keeter Center--a top rated restaurant at College of the Ozarks.

Getting around

Branson Airport is about 10 min away, Springfield-Branson Airport is about 1 hour away.

“Peacful”

Reviewed 13 May 2016

This lake home was so peaceful that my wife and I are considering moving to the lake. Everything in the home worked great, from the hot tub to the air conditioning. The home is in great shape (almost new) and the owners are very attentive to the detail of the property. It's a short walk to the shoreline where a nice picnic table sets and as I fished there everyday, not one person was seen at the shoreline where I was. We stayed 6 days so I caught plenty of fish, we also went into Branson (a short 20 minute drive) and did all kinds of shopping. We love Flee Markets and there is a entire block of them with nice places to eat. This is a beautiful house by the lake and is as peaceful as it gets, the view is great and you have all the needs of home with the feeling of your own camping spot. I would love to go back.

“Loved it! Beautiful and private.”

Reviewed 12 May 2016

Loved our stay there. Great house and amenities, like the hot tub, deck balcony view, nice full kitchen, large jetted tub/shower. Beautiful lake shore just across the road and down the clear trail for a short walk through the woods. Only things we wanted different was a little more clear view of the lake from the house and Fox Sports Midwest to watch the St. Louis Cardinals. ; )

Owner's reply: Glad you had a great time! We have new drone video on our site that everyone can check out now. The views of the lake and valley are always beautiful, but it improves in the fall when the leaves drop. For anyone really needing to see a game, we have our channel listings on our site as well. If we don't have the correct channel....we can always refer you to a great sports bar in Hollister! :)

“Awesome Retreat”

Reviewed 3 Feb 2016

The cabin was the perfect size for a family or just 2. Exceptionally clean and great amenities. Highly refer this to anyone looking for a weekend getaway or a full family vacation. Conveniently located, yet you still feel like you have all the privacy you want.

“Perfect Getaway”

Reviewed 6 Oct 2015

Very clean house and fairly well-stocked kitchen. We liked the keyless entry, too. Grocery only 20 mins away and Branson not much farther if that's your thing. Secluded and quiet with beautiful country all around.

“Very nice”

Reviewed 6 Jul 2015

The house is very nice but it is on a steep incline. Very steep driveway. There is a pull off at the bottom of the drive but it's not big enough to turn a boat around. This was a little difficult but we just ended up taking our boat to the campground and putting in and leaving it tied to the shoreline down at the end of the path. We didn't spend a lot of time in the house as we were out on the lake. We very much enjoyed our stay at the tall tree retreat and would return.

Owner's reply: Glad you enjoyed. For others reading this, the driveway is not meant to have a boat pulled up it; we provide a nice semi circle pull off at the bottom of the road for a boat (we've had competition bass boats park there without issue) , also have power on a pole for charging boat if needed. One would pull around the corner by our other property, the Cottage and then come back towards the Retreat and park off the street . Putting in at the Old Hwy 86 campground around the corner is good as well

“Great Place to stay!”

My wife and I stayed here for a few days. We enjoyed the peace and quiet of being by the lake. Branson isnt too far away if you want to see shows. The hot tub was nice after walking around all day. The owners are very nice people which we had a chance to meet one morning. The only bad thing was the driveway to the house which is getting repaired. We had bottomed out in our car due to the dips in the road. We will come back again for sure.

Owner's reply: Thanks John! It was very nice to meet you both. Yes, we are in the process of working on the driveway and road once again. The torrential spring rains really do a number on everything! However, it's a beautiful time of year to experience the lake, glad you could come down and enjoy it!

“Excellent Weekend!”

Reviewed 13 Jan 2015

We had a wonderful weekend at the retreat! When it says seclusion it truley means it! So many others falsely advertise but the Pattersons were true to every word! We loved the hot tub! January was the perfect time for us because we do not care for crowds and was skeptical about the Branson area for that reason. Will definitely return next winter at the same retreat! May bring the kids this summer, they would enjoy the lake.

Owner's reply: Thank you for the kind comments. We strive to make sure our clients have a good feel for the property before they arrive, our newly updated web portal testifies to this with updated pics and information about our secluded "neighborhood".

“Great time!”

The cabin was everything we expected it to be. Enjoyed our trip to Branson and would suggest this cabin to anyone looking to get away from town and enjoy quiet time. We would drive to the store every evening just to look for deer. :-)

Owner Supplied Testimonials

We couldn't have been happier with our stay at the Tall Tree Retreat. The cabin was furnished beautifully and we had everything we needed -- even cling wrap to cover our leftovers! ** We'd initially wanted to book the Tall Tree Cottage because it's advertised as "lakefront," but it was booked, so we chose the Retreat instead. We're SO glad we stayed at the Retreat! The views are incredible. Plus, we were delighted to discover it took us only 2-3 minutes to walk from our cabin's front door to the edge of Table Rock Lake! Our girls (ages 9 and 6) had a fabulous time, and so did we. Took them to Silver Dollar City one day, yet still had time to cook out that evening and then take a relaxing soak in the hot tub. I highly recommend the Retreat.

We came with my brother and sister-in-law not knowing what to expect. What a delightful surprise! Loved the decor, the seclusion, the wildlife (yes, we did see the eagle) along with lots of deer around the cabin and roadway. I would and will recommend this cabin to friends and family. A lot of bang for the buck! Thanks a lot.

We enjoyed our stay very much. It was peaceful and relaxing. The time flew by, so we did not do as much as we wanted. The cabin was as advertised. We would definitely visit again and recommend to others. We did a few shows in Branson (Legends, Piece Arrow, Kirby) all were fun. Also visited Eureka Springs "The Passion Play". Did a little fishing. Just had a good time. My wife loved the cabin decorations and design. Also, all was fully stocked. Nice to see a town where GOD is still recognized.

We really enjoyed staying in your cabin. Our sister and brother-in-law stayed in the cottage this week.
Our favorite thing to do was walking to the cottage to have dinner together. We also really enjoyed building a fire and roasting marshmellows.
Thank you for the wonderful week!

Thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home. We had a wonderful week. Our favorite activities: boating in the lake, go karts in Branson and the Noah musical. We enjoyed relaxing in your home. We needed the time away as a family and your home was so quiet and peaceful. You had everything we needed ! Thanks.

Fabulous base for our family vacation. Grand-parents joined us from England for the straight-forward drive from Memphis.
the cabin is lovely -- well finished, everything we needed and a gorgeous view. Thanks for the recommendations about Dogwood Canyon and Eureka Springs; we enjoyed them both very much.
We hope everyone else enjoys their vacation here as much as we did.

(5 Stars) Exceeded Expectations, Very Private, August 19, 2010
By Robert Woerheide (Saint Louis, MO)

My wife and our 18-month old daughter had a wonderful stay at Tall Tree Cabin. The moment we arrived, we were met by a welcoming, warmly decorated space with plenty of amenities. The rental is extremely clean. There are also board games provided, and television if you can't live without it. The owners have provided little extras which we really appreciated, and the linens and beds were fresh, clean, and comfortable. The rental itself is very private, and we were able to relax and enjoy the hot tub, the scenery, and the wildlife without interruption. The short walk to either of two secluded shorelines was a treat, and we had fun splashing in the lake and watching the birds. We saw deer each day too, so there is a lot of wildlife around. Being on the "quiet side" of the lake was exactly what we were looking for, and we weren't bothered by jet skis, etc.,.

All in all, the rental was exactly as advertised, was welcoming and private, and the owners were a pleasure to do business with. We will return!

We had a great stay at Tall Tree Retreat! Enjoyed the spaciousness, all the amenities and the seclusion! We rented a boat from Gage's - very friendly and helpful. Went to the Titanic museum, a bit overpriced. Did "Ride the Ducks" and saw Piece Arrow (great show). Loved sitting in hot tub, relaxing and spending time together.

Really appreciated great communication prior to our arrival. Made us feel secure and re-assured in our plans! We'd love to come again, maybe with family. It's be great to coordinate a stay at the Cottage as well!

Wow! What a gantastic get away! Absolutely loved the cabin and the proximity to the lake and everything. We rented a boat for 2 days from Gage's Marina and the girls had a blast! Directly across from Gage's, there is a cliff with ropes for swinging into the lake - spent hours there! We also rented SCUBA gear from State Park. Diving was great even right off the Tall Tree lake shore. Saw lots of fish and turtles. The girls loved staying here and having dinner and breakfast on the deck, sitting in the hot tub and counting the stars. We also had a fantastic firefly hunt! We saw 2 deer, a fox, hummingbirds, ticks, turtles, fish and three happy daughters! One morning, there was a deer drinking by the lakeside - of course I didn't have my camera with me! We loved the place so much, very clean, very nicely decorated - country yet not gaudy like so many other Branson cabins. Today we are checking out and heading to Reed Springs for the zipline. We miss our home away from home already! Thanks so much for a wonderful vacation!

Our weekend here was exactly what we needed. Life gets too busy and monotonous at times. Up here we relaxed and took time to appreciate each other again. I think we even may have decided to buy a lake front home in the area. Beautiful place - beautiful views. you have done a great job making people feel welcome.

The perfect getaway, June 11 2015

Our two daughters spent a weekend in Tall Tree Retreat last fall and decided this was the place for our summer family gathering. Spent four enjoyable nights in this lovely home secluded on a cove of Table Rock Lake (one of our families stayed in the Tall Tree Retreat just a few steps away). The cottage was comfortably furnished with everything needed for a relaxing stay. A large deck was great for grilling, dining and for star gazing. We used the short easy to walk path to the lake for fishing and relaxing around a bonfire. We spent a day on the lake tubing, a day at Silver Dollar City with the best day just hanging out with the family at the cottage. It is a very nice quiet place to be with everything that you may want to do just a short drive into Branson. Everyone wants to come back again next year.

Thank you for sharing your home,
Gary K
