Come and enjoy this ocean view house in the Nedonna area of Rockaway Beach. This charming home is able to sleep up to 8. With 3 bedrooms & 2 baths it is a perfect fit for 2 small families or larger groups. You can bring your pet as well.

The beach access can't be an easier, just across the street is the trail that will lead you to 7 miles of sandy beach. Just to the north you can watch the boats come and go across the Nehalem Bay Jetty from the front deck, or take in a quiet morning on the back deck as sun rises over the mountains. Spread out the food in the fully equipped kitchen, or grill up something on the BBQ.

Inside there are games to play, books to read, Wi-Fi, or watch your movies on the flat screen TV/DVD w/satellite.

If you fell like getting out, the downtown area with shops, restaurants and more is just a short drive away. Don't feel like going into town but don't want to sit around inside? In the side yard there is a fire pit and picnic table for S'Mores time or just enjoying an afternoon snack outdoors. Rest assured you will find plenty to do...or nothing at all. Christmas 2015

December 29, 2015

We had a blast at this house. We had family stay in another house from the same company. We hosted christmas for a family or 5 adults and 8 kids. Kitchen was a little tight so we had pizza and cake for our feast. Only complain we had was the washer and dryer were small sized. You have to wash all linen before 11 the morning you leave. One load didn't not fit even the twin bedding. So we were forced to time outings around the washer which was kinda stressful. We only used half the linens because we bought our own blankets and we still took forever to wash everything! I will still rent this house again. I will just bring my own sheets so I don't have to wash everything.

Amazing Stay

October 10, 2015

My family had a wonderful night's stay at this property. The weather was picture perfect and the accommodations were just what we were looking for. Spacious, clean close to the water and full of character!

Owner's reply:

Thanks for the review Matt, and to bad you couldn't stay for longer.

This beach house was great short walk to beach, could use a electric can opener though. There was plenty of room for everyone, love the fire pit as well not many beach homes have fire pits , weather was very nice and love the large front deck, everyone one had a great time.

Owner's reply:

Thanks for the review Vickie, and being such great guests. Glad to hear that you enjoyed the property to its fullest.

Great beach house in a wonderful location

December 9, 2013

We stay in Rockaway beach at least twice a year - once in the summer, once for Thanksgiving. We typically rent another house in Nedonna beach, but screwed up our dates this year. Luckily we found NW Retreat which still had an opening. It's a great, cozy house. Nice big (for a beach house) kitchen that's overall pretty well stocked with kitchen equipment for a beach house as well. It's dog friendly, which is key for us, and they even have towels and sheets to put on furniture specifically for pups. It's right across from the beach, and you do have some ocean views from the top deck. There were 2 couples, which was perfect. The third bedroom is tiny with twin beds...so, that could be a drawback if you're trying to fit 3 couples. Only tiny little annoying things were stove burners that seemed to only work at high and low, and the heating system often makes it super hot upstairs but not quite warm enough downstairs - but, we cracked a window upstairs to balance it out when need be. Overall, we loved this place and would absolutely stay there again.

Owner's reply:

Thanks for the feedback on the heating & stove Keri. I had thought we had the stove problem figured out, but it sounds like it needs to be checked out again. I am happy to hear that the house worked out for you after missing out on your regular place.

A little too funky...

November 19, 2012

On the plus side: >Right on the beach as advertised and panoramic ocean view from living room, dining room and kitchen >Nice counter space in kitchen & separate dining room table >Nice clean tub/shower >Allows pets and has thoughtful basket full of pet blankets for furniture and towels for wiping and plastic bags for picking up after dogs >Lots of parking next to house >Lots of kitchen utensils >Nice big deck on front of house >Local property manager is a sweetheart who did her best. On the other hand... >Refrigerator broke down in middle of my visit >Outdated TV and VCR with 4 remote controls and no written instructions on how to use which remote for which product. [plus won't play Blu-ray DVD] >No electricity on outside decks in back and on side of house and therefore no light there at night >No reading lamps in Living Room--only light is from harsh overhead spotlights >One of dining table chairs broken down >No inside hooks for hanging wet jackets and towels >Sofa bed is on last legs For the price, I didn't expect fancy, but this place has not been kept up. With just a little up-dating/up-grading/up-keep, it could be an amazing deal because of the proximity to the beach.

The Real Deal

Very comfortable and right on the beach. The oven did not work but other than that it was outstanding. Difficult to leave. Nice and simple.
