Description of the Saint George Island vacation home rental
3 Bedroom, 2 Bath Screened In Pool With Two Acres Of Beautiful Landscaping
This tropical paradise is only minutes from the white sandy beaches of st. George island. Located just across the bridge from the island on beautiful magnolia bluff. The public boat launch is less than1/2 mile from the property. This two acre paradise offers one of the largest and deepest private pools in the area. There is a large open deck just outside the Florida room. Lots of lush vegetation with palm trees, birds of paradise, banana and many types of fruit trees. Over looks a small private lake which is part of the gated Lakes on the Bluff subdivision.
Inside the home there is a large master bedroom, two spare bedrooms, large living room and separate den with brick fire place, separate dining room, breakfast bar off of the kitchen.

Area Information
We are located on Magnolia Bluff and just a few minutes from St. George Island. Our property is so private, and yet you are less than five minutes to St. George's beautiful white sandy beaches and the Gulf of Mexico. We are about 1/2 mile from the Apalachicola bridge. There are two public boat ramps that are about a quarter of a mile away. In addition to the beaches of St. George Island, Carrabelle beach is just minutes away. And be sure to visit the historic town of Apalachicola with it's great restaurants, quaint little shops, Eco tours, and historic homes. You'll also want to make a trip to the Florida Estuary Research Center with tanks of all the marine life indigenous to our area, and a trip up the Wakulla River at Wakulla Springs State Park is just 40 minutes away. The park ranger will take your family for about an hour trip ($8 currently for adults) up this beautiful crystal clear river to see lots of gators, turtles, birds, fish, and beautiful vegetation. (The Old Florida) AND some of the manatees have been staying there year round recently. After your trip, go for a swim in this beautiful spring. (I believe the largest in Florida) If in July or August, bring you snorkel gear for scallop season. You may have luck snorkeling right there

August 23, 2015

Reviewed on tripadvisor on July 12, 2015 for a stay in May 2015 We stayed at this very cute two story house from May 27 to June 5. It is about a block from the pool and hot tub, which were both clean and fun. The house had everything we needed. When we called the Maintenance Office a couple times they sent very friendly, helpful, people very quickly and they took good care of us. Because of one person in our group, we wanted to stay away from lots of stairs or the need to walk a lot. The stairs into the house have railings but they are not much help if you need to hold onto them because they are too far to the sides of the door. The bed in the Master is very attractive, but it is very high. There is a narrow rim around the edge of the bed that allows you to step up to get into bed. It is very helpful; but keep in mind it is narrow and if you have trouble with stepping up it may be a problem. The bedrooms upstairs were no problem for the others in our group. This is a great location for visiting all the beaches in the area - and there are quite a few. The Piggly Wiggly in town offers a wonderful assortment of products. We were pleasantly surprised. If you rush through you might miss something good. The pulled pork from Paul Gant's (very small place to the right of Dollar General, along Rt 98) was exceptional! Couldn't get enough of it. Hope to try the beef next visit. The baked oysters at Indian Pass Raw Bar were terrific. The place is a relic. Apalachicola Coffee and Chocolate Company (in Apalachicola) has delicious main dishes, gelato, coffee, wedding cookies, coconut cream pie, candy, and biscotti. We could only taste so much in a short trip. Warning: The "no-see-ums" at Shoobies Frozen Treats on Cape San Blas were Very Bad. It took a month for the horrible itching and bumps to disappear. In fact, I still have a few small bumps. Hopefully, at another time of year it may be better. Some of the treats are more child oriented, IMO, but on a hot day a cold treat is very nice.
