About the area

Home is great for CONVENTION CENTER attendees. The neighborhood is on the river and big historic park in which there is: Zoo, Japanese Garden and Tea House Restaurant, Children's Playground, Golf, New Children's Museum, kids rides (like merry go round and ferris wheel), the Park open air train that will take you around the whole park and to all those sites and the Witte Museum, Botanical Garden and Sunken Garden. Or you can just walk over there. The Pearl (one minute) was once a beer brewery and is now the northern part of the River Walk with restaurants and shopping. You can start walking on the River Walk here or get on one of the River Boats that will take you through a LOCK to change water level. Then the boat continues southerly down the river stopping along the way. You can get off and on to eat or shop. Or, it is a short drive to the Military Bases, Convention Center, Alamo, and the Mission Trails where you can see many missions, some with churches still in operation. The house is close also to Highway 281 which will take you to other major highways and to Sea World and Fiesta Texas. Also close are University of the Incarnate Word, and Trinity University. WAlk over to BIKE Rentals, too. House is in/at Brackenridge Park, river, paths, bike rental, park train, You walk to all this! Also Japanese Gardens, Witte Museum, Children's Museum DoSeum, Restaurants, Kiddie Rides, The Pearl Many Good Restaurants

Getting around

WAlk to some sites, will need car, uber, bus or taxi to other places because San Antonio is a large city

“Good Value for Excellent Location”

Reviewed 4 Mar 2016

Location close to downtown, super clean, nicely decorated, granite counters were so beautiful-lots of room in house to spread out. Host was very nice.

“Beautiful home! Great stay! Lovely Owner!”

This house is a gem! My family and I stayed for 4-5 days and I'm so glad we did! The location seriously cannot be beat! It's close to so many activities. The house was perfectly clean and decorated nicely. Beds were comfy. All new appliances. I believe the owner had recently renovated it and it shows. She was very sweet. We plan to stay here again next spring when we come down for another visit. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Owner's reply: We were so glad enjoyed the house, and enjoyed your stay with your family! I know you were excited about the location being so close to downtown and your daughter loved the zoo. Thank you so much for staying with us!
