Description from owner

Costa del Mar Lot 7 San Carlos MEXICO

This large, eight year old casita is in the Costa del Mar colonia located two minutes from the favorite, white sand, uncrowded beach called Algodones (cotton) or cleverly named Catch 22 beach-where the movie was filmed in 1969.

Surrounded by a spectacular vistas and mountains, this elegant rental is just 10 minutes down the beach from the Soggy Peso Bar and the Cotton Club gourmet dining. The spacious casita has a large living/dining room, full kitchen, BBQ and a separate family room which hosts a trundle bed and entrance to the charming, private back garden which is very "pet friendly".

The large master bedroom is separated with a 'two sink' Jack-n-Jill bathroom. The large bedroom has two large windows facing the garden and an extra bed if needed.

Beds: 2 Queen Beds, 2 Double Beds, 1 Sofa Bed

About the area

San Carlos is located in the state of Sonora. A free zone area and known for being safer than other Mexican states. Choosing to fly into Phoenix or Tucson is an affordable idea and then arrange transportation and witness the spectacular five hour drive south of Tucson, or eight hours from Phoenix. The town of San Carlos is mostly beach front and the Sonoran high desert with majestic cactus, riparian areas and various rock pinnacles pronouncing the beauty. Conde Nast Traveler ranked San Carlos... A + The sister city is Guaymas 20 minutes away-or if you choose a larger city for sightseeing there is Hermosilla one hour thirty minutes away. Both cities have airports. San Carlos is still a sleepy pueblita six months a year with summers cooler than Phoenix and of course Spring time which attracts tourists and visiting Nationals that choose pristine beaches, lower prices, no stoplights and cuisines of Sonora and Guadalajara. "Vamos ala Playa" Rates are flexible depending on season and length of stay. Tetakawi Mountain Catch 22 movie site The Mask of Zorro movie site Playa Algodones - the best beach in town! Soggy Peso Bar - best margaritas and crab tostadas! (music 4x a week) Sunset Bar and Grill - best ribs in town! Algodones beach Playa Blanca La Salsa Bonifacio's Cotton Club- best burger in town and a touch of gourmet cuisine!
