Description from owner

PLEASE READ OUR LISTING BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO SOLICIT US FOR A RENTAL This is your responsibility as a traveler because every property on all of the listing sites you may view, during your rental search, is different and every property owner manages their properties differently. If you are not reading the listings you inquire on, then you are doing yourself a disservice, as well as the rental property owner, and you may be unhappy when you arrive to your rental.

After providing properties for many many years, we consider part of our responsibility is to educate travelers, in addition to providing a space for them to stay in while they are away from home. The vast majority of travelers, in today's rental market, are new to the private property rental process and may not know how to ensure they find a rental that truly fits their needs and expectations.

1.) We know it's easy and fast to just skim through listings. Planning your travel itinerary and rental property can be a daunting task. When inquiring on large volumes of listings, it's easy to get confused. Make sure you understand what you are renting and that you have not mixed up your listings. Always ask questions. DO NOT make assumptions about anything as you inquire on each listing during your rental property search. Do not assume that rental property owners know what is important to you or what your expectations are. Every traveler's needs and expectations are different.

2.) Sometimes our inbox gets swamped and it's just not possible for us to get to all of the emails. If you do not hear back from us within 7 days then you have been placed on our reservations wait list and may be emailed when we have openings we are ready to release.

***Rental property owners are not able to respond to every single email that comes their way, please do not have that expectation of them

3.) Our Rates Range from $89-$225 per night. Most reservations fall in the middle of the range. Rate calculations are dependent on many factors. DO NOT use the Rate Calculator on this Listing, it DOES NOT generate accurate rates for our rental. You must email us directly for a lodging quote. The rate calculator in this listing is NOT our Rate Calculator, it is an embedded listing feature automated by the web hosting company hosting our listing and we are not able to remove it.

3.) We do not provide rentals to help travelers have the perfect vacation. We are not here to "Serve Others" like hotel staff would. We primarily provide rentals to travelers who need temporary housing for relocations, work assignments, and medical emergencies. We do not provide a luxury or high-end rental. We provide budget/economy rentals that are comfortable and clean. If you have high expectations, our rentals will not meet your needs. We would rather have our guests come in with low expectations and arrive to their property pleasantly surprised, than come in with high expectations and be unhappy. Over the years, more than 90% of our guests have been very satisfied with their rental experience.

The following is our Listing Description: Very Stylish and Comfortable 1 bedroom suite in La Jolla just on the edge of UCSD. Quiet, relaxing, and within a very quiet community. Pool, hot tub, gym, and more. Full Amenities. Close to bus lines and shopping center. 1min to UCSD, 5min to beaches and Scripps Aquarium, 10min to Sea World, and 15min to San Diego Zoo.

La Jolla is one of the nicest areas in all of San Diego. We are approximately 5 minutes to the La Jolla Beaches and 'The Village'. These beaches are definitely the most sought after beaches in San Diego. Our rental property is only 2 blocks from hundreds of shops, restaurants, and several banks and grocery stores. We have other listings at this same property.

4.) Attention Summer Travelers: If you are requesting a reservation between the dates of July 1-August 31 please DO NOT send more than 1 email inquiry for ALL of our properties combined. Please do not flood our inbox with inquiries and additional emails if we have not responded to you yet. Summer Rates: Mid-June to Mid-September Rates are $132/nt and upwards. Please read our rates section in this listing. If you are open to both one bedroom and two bedroom rental options you may state so in your inquiry notes. We have other listings at this rental property. If you are open to reserving in other locations of San Diego, you may state so in your inquiry notes. Thank you for your cooperation.

5.) We do not book our rental from this site. You must contact us requesting a link to our personal rental site or you will not be able to secure your reservation.

***Our rental properties book out very quickly. The best deals can be found during the off-season (October 1-February 28) not including holidays

Rates vary depending on dates requested, number of nights reserved, and number of guests, etc. Rate ranges stated on this site do not include taxes or other fees.

To increase your chances of booking a reservation, please include the following additional information in your email request to us:

a.) Your contact phone #

We may need to follow up with you by phone.

b.) The timeframe or date you would like to secure your reservation.

A/C and W/D

6.) Our rental has Air Conditioning. Most apartments in San Diego do not have central air conditioning. Air Conditioning is only needed a few months of the year, usually mid summer to early fall, and on the rare occasion when there is a heat wave. If you are elderly or have a medical condition that requires central air conditioning, please email us with that specific requirement. We use very powerful large portable Air Conditioning Unit(s) that remain in our rental year round and have worked very well for many years for our guests.

If you have a medical condition or special circumstance that requires a Washer/Dryer to be inside your rental, rather than having access to the Laundry Facility onsite, please email us with that specific requirement. Please ask us about laundry if that is important to you.

Beds: 1 Queen Bed, 1 Sofa Bed

“just fine”

Reviewed 5 Jun 2015

We found the appt. the directions just as advertised. We did ask for the upgrade and enjoyed it greatly. It is convenient to everything (right off 5 ) Our GPS took us to Whole Foods a few blocks away. When we plugged the the building number we went right there. Still haven't met Heather but she was helpful, polite and kind in assisting us . We will be back.

“Nice place to stay”

Reviewed 12 Aug 2014

Nice and comfy place to stay. All the amenities of home plus some staples so no duplication at the grocery store. Very comfortable place to spend eight days. So much better than a hotel!

“Perfect for a Vacation!”

Reviewed 29 Apr 2014

Great Location. Close to lot of shopping and grocery stores. Very clean and neat furnished rooms and personal parking space. Good response time by the owners. Detailed instructions provided for check-in, check-out and your stay. Perfect place to stay for my parents who were visiting San Diego for a month. Would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a short term vacation rental.

“Pleasant stay”

Reviewed 5 May 2013

This was our first stay at a vacation home instead of a hotel. Overall, the experience was very pleasant for several reasons: private and quiet location, secure parking, full kitchen, more spacious accommodations than a hotel, tennis courts and pool, central location for sightseeing and most anything we needed. We would consider renting again in the future.

“Excellent for Temporary Housing”

Reviewed 3 Jan 2012

We used this condo unit for a month and a half for relocation temporary housing. The location is in the UTC mall area of La Jolla which is easy to get to and from on the freeway. It was far superior to staying in a hotel for the length of time we needed housing. A well appointed kitchen and comfy bed were great at the end of each work day. Jessica was easy to work with and the stay was easy and seamless.

Reviewed 28 Dec 2011

Although we had to cancel our stay for December 2011, we rescheduled for early April 2012 so that we can still see our grand kids and also celebrate our upcoming 25th wedding anniversary. This change was taken care of without any problems in the process.

“Happy Thanksgiving”

Reviewed 30 Nov 2011

We spent 10 days in this 1BR and had a marvelous Thanksgiving trip. The Venetian is located close to I-5 which makes is easy and quick to get to all the tourist locales in the area. Facilities were modern and clean and we have no complaints with the arrangements.

“Villa Vicenza condo at the UTC”

Reviewed 4 Jul 2011

The condo was beautifully kept and well stocked. It is in UTC and close to bus stops, grocery stores, movie theatres, malls etc. The beaches are a short drive away. I was there for work and stayed for almost three weeks. My stay was a pleasant and comfortable one. Much better and cheaper than staying at a hotel.

“OK for short stay”

Reviewed 4 Mar 2011

We visited a "show" unit prior to rental (I'm local & my folks come to visit from oversees), and it looked just like the pics on this website. Unfortunately, the unit we were given was nothing like the one we visited. Though it was well furnished & everything worked fine (it's great having internet) our unit (building 3915 unit#3) didn't have the pretty counter tops in the kitchen nor the bathroom, and DEFINITELY didn't have the luxury feel of what you can see on the pics. More like a cheap Ikea feel (and the TV was the size of my laptop screen). We did have to wipe behind the faucets in the bathrooms and there was was old food left in the freezer, but other than that (and the patio which had a tick carpet of hard dust and leaves!) things looked clean. This unit is also located at the entrance of the parking garage, a lot of come and go.. My parents rented for a whole month, I think it would have been logic/nice to put them in a unit with washer/dryer.. but no. They're 65yo and ended up washing clothes by hand for a month. Yes there are public machines (don't forget your bag of coins) but this is a big student complex.. you know how that goes. Also the side windows you see on the pictures did not exist in our unit. there was only one in the room and the patio door for the rest of the place.. The pool area is OK. When we were there the sitting area by the BBQs wasn't really usable area is ok, students everywhere. grocery store about 1mile away. beaches much fu
