Description of the San Felipe vacation home rental
Paradise Found. A beautiful vacation home in San Felipe's premire gate guarded community just steps from the sand on a secluded beach. This is the closest rental to the beach at Playa de Oro. Rooftop deck for viewing of the Sea of Cortez, mountains and the Sonoran Desert. BBQ and firepit with beautiful native garden. No pets. No smoking. No kidding.

The house sleeps 6 adults comfortably. The house is also air conditioned/heated. Satellite TV. The water is filtered with a state of the art UV and 4 stage filtration system. The secluded beach is approximately 125 yards from your door. Community pool, spa, separate lap pool, restaurants nearby, golf within one mile(extra cost). The town is close enough (10 minutes) to go to dinner, shop, take a deep sea fishing expedition, kayaking, banana boat rides, nightlife, or atv rental with plenty of desert trails to ride. Its also far enough to be away from the crowds and hustle and enjoy the slow quiet relaxation of San Felipe.

The House Went Above and Beyond All Expectations

I traveled to Casa de Ochoa with 5 friends for a 5 night, six day vacation. We expected to find a comfortable home, but were happily surprised to find one of the finest beach houses we've ever stayed in. Gil has done a fantastic job creating a comfortable, well-furnished and inviting place. The location is to die for - you have a great view of the ocean from the front patio or the roof top deck. The walk to the beach was an easy 5 minutes. The development is quiet, friendly and well maintained throughout.
One aspect of this house that was hard to discern through the photos is just how beautiful the landscaping is. Gil has put a lot of time and energy into building a beautiful courtyard in front. In addition, the rooftop deck was perfect for grilling dinner, having drinks and lounging about.
The kitchen was great for cooking, and the living room was set up with plenty of couches and a large flat screen TV. The development has a nice restaurant and pool area to use, as well.
I had never been to this house before, but hope to return again soon. I would highly recommend this house to anyone - it was a steal of a deal for what Gil is asking. Safe travels!

Senor Ochoa-
We had an amazing time. House is beautiful! We were little loud on Thursday, but spoke with rental office and they were fine. We just got so excited it being our first night.

Thank you again! Would love to rent again! :)

My family and I had a great time in San Felipe. This house was so beatiful and very clean when we got there. This was our first visit to the area. We brought our quads down and rode them on the beach. The beach was empty and we felt like we owned it. It was only about a hundred yards from the house! All in all I would definately recommend this rental! We even got our four hundred dollar damage deposit back as promised.

The rental is a beautiful home in a new community on the north side of San Felipe. Two hours after crossing the border, the community appears on the east side of the highway just past the highly anticipated new PEMEX station. After checking in with the rental office, they escort us to the house where they let us in and give us a brief tour.

Inside the gate is a well maintained property landscaped with beautiful desert plants, adorned with a beautiful fountain and southwest styled outdoor furniture and curios. Inside, it's just beautiful with tiled floor, a large kitchen and dining table, and, a very hospitable living area with big screen tv (w/satellite) and stereo. Since we visited in August, the house was hot but the rental manager showed us house to work the air conditioner and the house was cooled down very quickly.

While there are 3 bedrooms, we only used two and they had very comfortable beds and large walk in closets for storage. The showers were very large, too.

There is an upstairs area, too, however it is outside as the roof is open for views across the water to the Mexican mainland to the east and the mountains to the wast. There is patio furniture there and a charcoal bbq for dining. For evening dining on the roof, there is sufficient but non obtrusive lighting there and on the stairs leading to the roof. In the summertime, it would make a great place to for sleeping under the stars, too.

The house is on the very east end of the development. While it is furthest from the office and highway, it is closest to the water. It's just a 5 minute downhill walk to the beach but uphill takes a bit longer. However the beach is very secluded.

The development is about a 15-20 minute drive to the malecon and nightlife area of San Felipe. Along the way there are plenty of restaurants, markets, services, and even coffee shops. But if you want to do nothing but relax, the development has an excellent restaurant and bar with entertainment, a beautiful pool area with poolside dining and refreshments. There is a also a pizza place (with delivery). There's also a well stocked market with internet access however their hours are fairly limited. These amenities make just hanging out around the house and the area very easy to do.

I plan on returning and would definitely recommend it to any one.
