Description from owner

Welcome, come experience paradise with us! We would love to have you stay with us!

Diamond Reef is six and 1/2 miles north of San Pedro in a gorgeous and secluded area directly in front of the popular Mexico Rocks Reef Diving Reserve. The clear, dazzling aqua blue waters are enchanting. It's just like a postcard!

It is very private and quiet, but by no means remote. Other Villas and resorts that share this wonderful stretch of beach, include Casa Rana (three houses south), 18 Degrees North (one lot North), Costa Maya Resort and Portofino are south and Blue Reef and X'Tan Ha North. They all have websites that you may want to check out.

Away from the hustle and bustle of town, it is quiet and safe, providing the perfect place to vacation. Diamond Reef consists of three Condos, only two of which are rented. You have the huge private beach and pier virtually to yourself. It is the perfect place for a romantic get away or for the family who doesn't want to worry about the kids getting away. The rate includes free pickup and return when you arrive and depart from San Pedro, a daily trip in our private boat to anywhere on the Island, free WiFi, DirecTv, use of a local cell phone during your stay and complementary Kayaks.

Our private boat is at your disposal, complete with boat Captain, Alvin. Alvin is always available to take you to town or to any of the many resorts and restaurants up and down the coast of Ambergris Caye.

The Coastal Express water taxi also makes regularly scheduled stops at our pier as well, every one or two hours.

“Found out what paradise feels like”

Reviewed 9 Apr 2014

We spend 6 nights at the condo and I can say it was beyond our expectations. The condo was very comfortable and equipped with everything we needed. Alvin and Rose were super helpful and very attentive to our plans. We definitely can say now we experienced what paradise feels like!. For specific questions feel free to contact me via email -

Owner's reply: Thanks so much for the wonderful review. We strive very hard to make our guests feel that their stay was truly unforgettable. We thank you for you letting us know that our efforts are working.

The condo A -1 that we rented for a week was fantastic !!! It's out of the way of all the crowds and the neighbours are super nice and friendly. It's really a piece of heaven !!! Thanks again guys it made our trip that much better !!!

“Sooooo relaxing!”

We had a wonderful restful time at the condo...everything was very clean and Alvin and his wife were lovely. Very helpful....the only thing I think could have been improved on was the beds - they were very hard...other than that I thought it was perfect!

Owner's reply: The mattresses have been taken care of, thanks for the feedback.

“Nice Quiet location”

Reviewed 15 Apr 2013

Our family of 4 (2 adults 2 teens) thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Easy 15 minute kayak out to great snorkeling, only the wind kept us away on a few days and there was always the pool to get into. The caretaker, Alvin, is wonderful and the free daily boat to trip to town was a definite plus. Note a water taxi would cost $8 per person one-way. The best part for us nature lovers was the quiet uncrowded location, we rarely saw people walking on the beach and the only noise at night was the wind in the palms and birds in the morning.

Owner's reply: Thanks Angela, best wishes

Absolutely amazing. Located outside the hustle and bustle of San Pedro we completely relaxed here. The house next door vacant and we the only guest at the condo meant we had a huge private beach with two docks. The beach area was great for our son to play on and in the sand. Probably one of the top beaches we saw on the island. And it was all ours. WIll definately go back. House was clean with no bugs or other issues. Definately very well maintained. Alvin was always there when you needed him, but you almost forget that he is around he and his family are so quiet. Got to add that Booby the dog was a sweetheart as well and enjoyed playing with my son in the sand. That added to the overall experience of a great vacation.

Hi Ricky -- just a quick note to let you know that Julie, Mike, Carlos, and I had a wonderful time at your condo, and it was very hard to leave. We came home to freezing weather (and some snow) -- ugh. We enjoyed the sun, sand, water, and local food. Alvin and Rose were wonderful -- great folks. Thank you again, and we look forward to staying at your place again in the future. Warm regards...Kat and Carlos

Hi Ric...I wrote you awhile back with a number of generic questions re your condo when your friend Roger offered the condo to my daughter. To make a long story short, Joy invited me to go with her and we have just returned. I just wanted to let you know that we had an absolutely incredible time and EVERYTHING was perfect...The place itself is lovely and the location couldn't be better....right between the 2 resorts where we went to eat most of the time certainly gave us the best of both worlds. By the way, the Legacy was most hospitable and told us to use their pool, kayaks etc. if we wanted to. We also took a couple of really great tours from there...We walked to the hotel to get the tours, but they offered to pick us up at your pier if we wanted them to...It was the Suya Tour group. Actually, we just spent most of our time laying in the sun and being total slugs. Alvin is an absolute "GEM" and speaks so highly of you too. He likes being considered your son. He was always available but totally unobtrusive...Both he and Rose are delightful and I'd like to get to know them better. He is obviously an extremely hard worker and totally responsible. .. We didn't ask for much, but whatever it was, he responded immediately. I'm already talking to friends about returning to your wonderful place and I'd be more than happy to give out your cards to others when you have them....You can be sure that I'll pass the good word and look forward to returning myself. By the way, are February or March good months to go? Would like to go when lobsters are in season...When your cards are available please feel free to mail some to me at: Diane Petrash, 2000 Oakmont Way #6, Walnut Creek, CA 94595 or if you prefer, you could pass some on to me thru Roger and my daughter... Again..Thanks so much ...You chose the perfect place! Diane
Thank you, thank you!

Amazing views! Love this place!

This house is beautiful! There are two units, one upstairs and one downstairs. We stayed downstairs and didn't hear our neighbors once. The rooms all have air conditioning, there's a full kitchen, two bathrooms and a beautiful patio! We used the kayaks a ton! There is a spot out in front called Mexico Rocks that you can kayak to and snorkel. It's amazing. The beach has sea grass almost up the entire island, but it prevents you from walking out and swimming a ton, although you can jump off the end of the dock where it's sandier. Alvin, the "property keeper" is an amazing guy to have around. He's a hard worker! He picked us up, brought us in to town a few times and can help you with anything you need. He's also got a dog, Bobby, that we adored the entire time we were there and helped keep our minds off missing our own pups. Alvin is always on call and very dependable. Keep in mind, you're a ways up the island, so the water taxi is the best option. I preferred not to be in town... I wanted to do day trips and relax on the beach and there's not as much of that in San Pedro. Also, there's a resort nearby called Portofino and they let us use their pool (amazing! I can't say enough good things about that resort) and it's about a 20 min walk south of the house on the beach. We rented a golf cart for a few days, but the road is so horrible (more like a backwoods trail) it wasn't worth it. I would definitely recommend this relaxing, beautiful house!
