Owner Supplied Testimonials

Having grown up in the Central Valley before migrating to Alaska as a wildlife biologist in the mid 1970's, I felt right at home in the summer climate in Pozo Valley. You've done a nice job of strategically placing a few drip tanks to attract the local wildlife. My daily routine was sitting at a drip tank with a cup of coffee at sunrise and a beer at sunset (and occasionally a flashlight in the wee hours). These efforts produced over 40 species of birds and about a dozen species of mammals. The consensus of the clan is that we will definitely return to your place. Thank you again for the great week!

Our entire group had a wonderful time-- hiking in the mornings, making meals in the huge kitchen (especially breakfast on the griddle!) enjoying the pool during the day, watching the sunset from the ridge and stargazing at night. Our group of families does a trip like this every year, and this was one of the best!. Thank you and your family for creating such a terrific place!

From a non-profit retreat group: "The lodge provided the perfect backdrop for our non-profit group weekend retreat. We had 21 people and everything still felt spacious. Because the entire property is secluded, it really felt like our own place and helped with our team bonding activities. It was also great being able to explore and go back-and-forth between the main lodge, barn, firepit, & bar/poolhouse. Dottie was so helpful with everything and super sweet. I highly recommend this rental."

From family group summer 2012: "We had 10 adults and 5 children ( 4yrs--5mons ) and we all had our own bedroom. The toddlers had fun seeing all the "wild life "; the kitchen, dining rm. and Great room gave us plenty of room to be together or separated. Lots of fun at the pool, barn and just walking around. When it's hot in the summer, the pool is the place to be---it does cool off in the evening for good sleeping. Bring sturdy walking shoes."
