Reviews for this vacation home rental in Seabrook Island, South Carolina

Wonderful week on Bridle Trail
August 1, 2010
Thanks John and Sue for a wonderful week at your lovely home. It was so comfortable and inviting. We had a ball playing golf, tennis, swimming, eating and being with our families. We were able to rent two houses across the street so we had all family in the three houses. The kids rode their bikes everywhere and we loved all your suggestions for restaurants plus the kitchen was well stocked with supplies. We were thrilled to have time to spend with our Great Grandson too. Thanks so much, we hope to come back !!!!

Thank you for sharing your wonderful home. It was quite perfect. We stayed at this house with my husband's family (3 couples, 2 kids and one baby) and it met all of our needs. Seabrook Island is very relaxing. It doesn't actually feel like an island because the trees are so large and shady. The island is also very quiet, especially the end where this house is located. I would say that the only disadvantage (and it is mentioned in other reviews) is that the beach is at least one mile away. We took our bikes, which was useful for getting to other areas on the island or Freshfields, but it was difficult to take everything our boys wanted to the beach, so most days we had to take the car. We did get amenity cards made, but really only used them to swim at the outside pool at the Lake House, which is very quiet in the evenings. Otherwise we really didn't use much of the island facilities. If what you want is a quiet get away on a quiet island, where your biggest decision is beach or pool- book now. Charleston isn't a far drive, but you won't want to leave Seabrook Island. Thanks John and Sue for all of your help and sharing your wonderful house.

We enjoyed the home very much, the decorating was exceptional. I would encourage checking in to the cleaning between stays. We arrived to find the floors sticky and dust/animal hair in various places throughout the home. The deck on the front of the home was laden with spider webs and very dirty. This was quite disappointing considering we paid over $200 cleaning fee. We did appreciate the owners willingness to work with us on dates, etc.

Very nice home-beautifully decorated. Good location and it is important to note that the beach/club house pool is 3 miles away. The amenitities were terrific-beach club house and pools, service and staff. Bike Rental was easy and convenient-highly recommend biking. The "village " was charming and made the island unique. We enjoyed our time on the island. suggestions: include lawn/beach chairs and a hair dryer .

Lovely home, good location, beautiful area. No complaints. Would go again.
July 2010 - John and Sue, Thank you SO MUCH for letting us stay in your gorgeous home. The pics on your site just don't do the house justice. We had such a wonderful time and certainly hope to come back again in the future. Thanks for getting us the private pool card. It was our favorite pool at Seabrook!!! We had such a good time - our absolute favorites were... biking to the inlet to watch the
dolphins feed, relaxing under the gorgeous trees by the pool and sipping coffee on the lovely front porch. Thanks again for making us feel at home and welcomed. WE LOVE SEABROOK!!!

July 2009 - John, We had a wonderful time and truly enjoyed your beautiful home on Seabrook Island. We enjoyed the pool and Robb golfed twice and I went to Charleston twice! I've been to many of the east coast beaches but have to say Seabrook was one of my favorites. I love that the area is not as commercialized but there is still alot to do within driving distance. We spent alot of time at Freshfields Village too!
Thank you again for letting us stay at your home.

July 2007 - Dear John and Sue--This is a very long overdue thank you in regard to your home on Seabrook Island. We very much enjoyed every bit of our time in your home...it is just beautiful and pretty perfect! The location is great and we were able to take advantage of the swimming pool and also my youngest daughter loved being so close to the horses since she rides. Thanks again for opening your home. I don't know what next summer's plans will bring but if we do decide to go back to Seabrook I hope we will be able to rent from you again.
