Reviews for this vacation home rental in Seattle, Washington
Cozy, hidden home
November 11, 2013
Rented for visiting family members. This house may have been a bit older construction and less modern than I realized from the photos, but it was really a very pleasant little hideaway. The owner was very patient in helping us make plans, the decor was pleasant and tasteful, and the interior was quite clean and homey. Wish we could have stayed in the summer--there is a gorgeous park adjacent, and it and the nice back porch area would have been perfect with better weather. Surprisingly remote location for being in the middle of the U-District, as advertised--felt like a private country bed-and-breakfast in Seattle. Ideal for a larger family looking for more character and privacy than a hotel for the same price, or perhaps a small group of parents and prospective students visiting the nearby campus.

Perfect for our style of stay in seattle
August 29, 2013
We got around on bikes and buses the whole time and this place was perfectly located for access to stops and the Burke gillman trail. It was also close to the university village for convenient access to grocers, etc. We had two adult couples, our 4yr old, 6mo old, plus our friends who live in Seattle visiting with their twin 1yr olds for evening dinners - plenty of space and privacy when needed for all of us. The only caution I would advise is it's a very quiet neighborhood: lights out and whisper voices on the patio and in the hot tub after 10pm! Thanks again to Scott for a great stay.

Great location, within walking distance of fine restaurants. Ample space for 10, with an outdoor deck and an upstairs dining room that seats 10. Overall a fine experience.
Thank you with all my hear, Mark!
We genuinely, want to know that we are making visitors who choose our home, feel like it was a great choice. Seattle, is such a vibrant and cosmopolitan city, and we feel blessed to have this home available in the heart of the city, on the edge of this very special park.
with my deep gratitude,

Great Get Away
December 28, 2012
We stayed here with family members and had a great time. It was really comfortable and we felt like we were at home. It was next to a huge forest so even though we were still in Seattle we felt like we were on a vacation. Inge was really nice and very responsive to all of our questions. Thank you so much!
The house had alot of mosquitos and bugs!
June 25, 2011
The master bedroom had several mosquitos. The windows were not sealed and had no screens on them. The seperate downstairs master suite was covered in bugs. EVERY KIND! Several mosquitos, spiders, roaches and lady bugs. We couldn't sleep in the rooms. We stayed one night and booked a hotel for the rest of the nights. We took pictures and submited them to the owner. Her response and I quote", THE HOUSE IS NEXT TO A PARK AND YOU SHOULD HAVE SOME BUGS"! If you like to camp outside, then save the money and camp at the park next to the house. I will never rent a vacation house again. You couldn't pay me to stay at this house.
Seattle wedding event

This beautiful property was very much as described on the internet. It was the perfect venue for several of us attending our daughter's wedding. We would not hesitate to recommend to our friends. Parking mildly inconvenient, but setting was delightful.
Clean and roomy luxury
September 8, 2010
My family and friends recently completed our stay at the quiet and charming Ravenna house and could not have been happier. The accommodations were exactly as advertised and the property is located next to some great walking paths and a playground that our kids loved. The spaciousness of the home made it easy to get all of the extended family in for a visit although parking was difficult given the number of vehicles we had (there is really only room for 2 cars). Working with the owner was easy and she answered all our inquiries promptly. Parking is a little tricky on the hill but the property was centrally located for all of our day-trips. The only difficulty we had was in accessing the wifi--one of us was able to log on but the other three could not. We talked with the owner and she assured us she would get that squared away for future visitors. We will definitely be back and will recommend this property to all of our friends staying in Seattle.
We have loved living here! Perfectly cleaned, and a truly special place to be.
