“Perfect”

Reviewed 5 Sep 2016

Everything about this beach front home was perfect. Janie provided excellent communication throughout the rental process and when we arrived everything exceeded our expectations (and we had very high expectations!) If we are ever in Seattle again, this will be the first place we look for.

“SO Enjoyed it!”

Shared it with 5 co-workers. Beautiful, right on the beach and within walking distance from many restaurants. Quiet, peaceful and a nice return from exploring Seattle and the surrounding areas. Would love to return with my family!

I can't say enough about this luxurious yet comfortable property. Gleaming wood, amazing art and glass features, not to fail to mention state-of-the-art appliances, including a silent dishwasher. The fireplace, patio and almost touchable water made us change some plans to stay in! We brought fresh oysters back to "our" patio. All the stonework, along with so many other details, made us feel the owners' goal was to provide the most sumptuous experience. She spent time with us in advance, and when she learned we would be making bouillabaisse, she brought over a crock pot and provided all of the spices we needed. There were detailed instructions for everything in the house and a favorite of mine: a second set of driving directions which provided the most beautiful route. And a big test: when I forgot a phone charger, she met me to return it to me, before we left town. Supreme and warm experience before, during and after. Katy Gilberts and Randy Farber, Idaho

“West Seattle Respite”

Reviewed 2 May 2013

This was a perfect place for the time away that we needed with our daughter who lives in Kent area. She needed some relief from work and it was a soothing place to be. We loved the deck, watching the tide go in and out and all the ship traffic. Much different than our Midwest life. We enjoyed being able to walk and dine and meet friends in the area. We appreciate the opportunity to rent such a great place. It was cheery and comfortable.

Owner's reply: Thank you for the review. It was pleasure; and also a big thank you for leaving the condo in the condition in which you found it. janie

“perfect location, perfect view, wonderful stay”

Reviewed 20 Aug 2011

For our family summer vacation, we were looking to escape the Texas heat, have a great view with beach access, along with convenient access to downtown Seattle and the Olympic Penninsula. We found it all here. The views of Puget Sound were stunning and the kids spent a great deal of time on the beach in front of this first floor condo looking for shells, watching the seals, and digging in the sand. Because it is just south of the iighthouse, it was a very quiet place. The condo was easy to live in and very comfortable. WiFi allowed us to work in the evenings while we enjoyed the sound of the waves. An easy walk to the Alki strip afforded nice family dinners and several days on the sandy beach. A shuttle to the Water Taxi took us across the bay to downtown Seattle for visits to Pike Place Market, the Aquarium, and even a baseball game at SafeCo field. An easy drive to Mt. St. Helens and even the Olympic Penninsula gave us the opportunity to see more of the surrounding area. I recommend visiting the lavender farms in Sequim. The owner has the place nicely decorated and set up with creature comforts - great blankets, warm comforters, nice towels, cable TV, etc. I would highly recommend this place for anyone that wants to experience all that Seattle has to offer, especially the amazing views of Puget Sound.

“Another Very Satisfied Vacationer”

Reviewed 21 Jul 2011

My family needed a place to house 6 adults for my nephews wedding on Bainbridge Island as well as enjoy a vacation. We are so happy we found this place. It is a beautiful location with plenty of entertainment provided by the actvities on Puget Sound. With the deck and living space we had room for other family members in town to gather for a visit as well. With easy access to Seattle we saw many of the sites there, and were able to meet up with family in town. Grandma negotiated the two sets of 5 steps to get down to the deck entrance with ease. The owner was easy to work with and had the place well stocked and furnished. I wish we had taken more time to just sit and to enjoy all Alki had to offer. Maybe next time.

Our family gathered in this delightful beach place for a week's stay during our daughter's Alki wedding. The views were stunning, the home beautifully appointed and the deck became our hangout for cozying up with a book, a marathon of game playing or just grabbing some rays! Walking distance to great restaurants, beaches and activities of all kinds! Don't miss out on this very special spot...we hope to be able to return sometime as it holds many wonderful family memories!

“Clean, modern condo!”

Elaine, just wanted to say that we completely enjoyed our stay at your condo. Very clean, modern and had all the amenities we needed. The Alki beach area is great, with shops and restaurants within walking distance. We'll stay here again next time we're in Seattle.
