“Everything you could want”

Reviewed 5 Aug 2015

I absolutely loved this apartment rental!! It was spacious and well appointed. It was stocked with all the little things you don't want to have to spend vacation money on. The location was very convenient and as an introvert I loved having private parking and private entrance. It was a blessed retreat from the hustle and bustle of vacation life.

“Awesome, awesome and then some!”

Reviewed 14 Jul 2015

I know writing this review will mean I will probably have trouble rebooking when I want to come back but in all honesty if you are looking for an extremely comfortable place away from home don't miss Marie and Brian's hideaway. The beds are s-o-o-o comfortable, the kitchen has everything you could want to prepare a full meal, and it is so clean and welcoming and...to sit out on the porch in the morning with a cup of coffee taking in the view which included the hummingbirds taking their fill from the sweet-smelling star jasmine is just too much. Not to mention the evening view from that porch!! Marie and Brian are hosts to the max, leaving wonderful baked bread and other treats to make your stay even more comfortable and enjoyable. My only regret is now that the word is out I will have to plan our West Seattle visits (we have family very close by) way in advance because we enjoyed our stay here so much we won't be happy staying any where else.

“Awesome”

Words can't describe the hospitality, professionalism, customer relationships, etc.... I could go on and on. To walk out on the deck and see the beautiful flowers, plants, and the breath taking humming birds was priceless and speechless. Thank you Marie and Brian. I will definitely be back!!!!! Ciao.

Owner's reply: Thank you Shirley! We would love to have you and your friends stay with us any time. It was a pleasure to meet you and to host your stay. It's always a treat to hear hardy laughter and we heard it again and again during your time with us. We're so glad you enjoyed your trip to Seattle! We're looking forward to another visit!

“Don't tell anyone!”

Reviewing this apartment is difficult for us. Why? Because it was so good in every way that we're afraid of attracting other people to it--and we hope to go back many times. The apartment is spacious, with two bedrooms (very comfortable beds and luxurious bedding) and unusually large closets. It is also beautifully decorated and well-equipped. (We were able to have brunches for our extended family; everything we needed was there.) There is a front deck facing the mountains, a private front yard, and space to park a car. The owners are lovely people. When we arrived (we were staying a month), they had stocked some shelves with food, so we didn't have to go out right away to shop. Throughout our stay, they did everything they could to make us comfortable and accommodate our needs. For us, the location was perfect: very close to family. The apartment is in walking distance to the West Seattle Junction--and in easy driving distance to the beautiful parks and beaches that are located in West Seattle. Also, there is easy bus service to downtown Seattle. In short, this is a splendid place--but please don't go there when we want to!

Owner's reply: Fred and Annette are a couple who take life on with a blast of exuberance. I love their happy energy and obvious excitement at spending time with their grandchildren and being close to family. It always gives us a little thrill to see our guests entertaining in our suite. Fred and Annette really made it their home, and we truly enjoyed being neighbors during their stay.

“Wonderful stay in West Seattle!”

Reviewed 7 Sep 2013

My husband and I, and another couple stayed Aug 30 - Sept 3. This place is everything that the listing says it is. Marie was around if we had questions but otherwise left us to ourselves. The only thing this rental does not have is a dishwasher but hey a little soap and water won't hurt. It was great!!!

Owner's reply: It was very nice to meet Sandra & her traveling party, and to hear how they enjoyed our city and our cozy suite! It's also lovely that they took time to start the day comfortably, with coffee on the deck. We always appreciated the excellent care our guests take of our place, and are mindful that a dishwasher would be helpful. We just haven't found a place where it would fit, or one would definitely be included. Gratefully, Marie & Brian.

“The Best at The West Seattle Junction!”

Reviewed 6 Mar 2013

I spent the month of February on business at this property (without a car no less!) and Marie & Brian could not have been better hosts...not to mention the fantastic location/accessibility to grocery, public transportation, restaurants etc.! A true oasis of tranquility and a great view, even in winter! Thank you!!!

Owner's reply: We're glad to have had the opportunity to host Kathy's stay, and to be so well appreciated for the accommodations. It was great to have the occasional run-in while out walking. Always nice to see people getting acquainted with the neighborhood.

“BEST OF SEATTLE”

“Wonderful vacation rental!”

Reviewed 3 Aug 2012

The rental was everything the photos showed it to be! Marie had a wonderful bottle of wine waiting for us, as well as bread, fresh fruit and other goodies to make us feel welcome. A very comfortable suite for my husband and teenage daughters, very close to downtown Seattle - and Marie was so easy to work with! We hope to be back again! Thanks Marie!

Owner's reply: Seattle’s a wonderful place to come to and we’re glad to be located where city events are so accessible. It’s fun to see our guests, like the Hula’s, having fun & taking in the many activities around town. And we’re happy to offer a comfortable, welcoming home for our happy travelers at the end of an event packed day. We look forward to return visits where all our returning guests get 10% off our regular price.

“Awesome honeymoon in Seatttle”

Reviewed 4 Jul 2012

Marie was a more than fantastic host. My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon, and had a wonderful time. We missed out connecting flight out of Atlanta on the way, as a result we arrived very late in the evening on our first day. Marie was very accomodating about that fact. When we arrived we found a bottle of wine and delicious raisin bread to greet us- we snacked on that raisin bread all week. The condo is absolutely beautiful and nice and cozy. It is also very conveniently located to Seattle, only a 25 minute drive in the worst traffic. Seattle was an awesome city. After our trip my wife and I are considering moving to Seattle in about five years after we are done with graduate studies. The weather in Seattle was absolutely delightful, I wore a jacket the entire time-as a native Floridian this was both novel and a welcome treat. My wife and I are both urban dwellers and nature enthusiasts, and Seattle was perfect place for us. Seattle is an ideal city to me,all the excitement of a big city without being overwhelming. The people from the area also very nice. It was also ideally located to several nature enthusiast location-we went to a few state parks and Mt. Ranier. The view of the mountians from the harbour was beautiful. I am very glad that we chose both Seattle and Marie's condo for our honeymoon. It was a very memorable experience. I would definitely consider returning to Seattle and Marie's condo, and could not recomend it enough. If your considering Seattle, this is an ideal location for your trip.

Owner's reply: ...It was a pleasure hosting Austin & Stephanie’s honeymoon accommodations while they tripped around Seattle. And it was special for us to have newly weds here during the time Brian & I celebrate our own wedding anniversary. They certainly took full advantage of the sights in and around town. Again and again people come here and fall in love with Seattle. We feel privileged to be in a position to accommodate that experience for others, and to live in this wonderful area. Austin & Stephanie, please let us know when you’re heading our way again. We’d love to have you back as guests – or neighbors!

“A Welcome Retreat”

Reviewed 23 Mar 2012

We really enjoyed our stay in Seattle and at this vacation rental. I've been talking it up to all my friends and co-workers as 'the best way to travel!". The accommodations were great and the personal touches even better (we especially appreciated the fresh flowers along with bread/cheese waiting for us on the dining table).

Owner's reply: Thanks, Terry, for sharing your appreciation of what we offer at our rental suite. We are also avid B&B travelers. It's definitely our favorite way to get acquainted with an unfamiliar place & the people who live there. I feel much more a part of the culture of a place when residing within the community. We also enjoyed meeting you & Becca, and appreciate the care you took of our suite during your stay.
