Description of the Seattle vacation home rental
Wow ... a newly furnished and decorated single family home in the great Ravenna neighborhood.
Whether organizing that special family get-together, a wedding party, attending the University of Washington or any cultural or sports activity in the city you will find more than enough room for an extended family, or about a dozen of your closest friends.

The set up is very flexible with six total bedrooms, three bedrooms on the main floor; two are generous and one is small. There is also a full bath, a well-appointed living room with cable TV, stereo and DVD player; a dining room, a completely appointed kitchen with all that any food would require. Out the kitchen or dining room door is a generous patio and fenced yard with a way too cool out door fireplace, a gas grill, and excellent all day "sunshine" (conditioned on atmospherics of course). The back yard and back entry are wheel chair accessible.

Downstairs you find the other three bedrooms, a bath, the laundry area and comfortable family room with closet and fold out couch. This room is really set up primarily an area to relax and is also equipped with a cable TV. Parking is on the street or behind the home on the alley.

Area Information
This home is situated in the great Ravenna neighborhood just north of University of Washington on a quite residential street with easy access to I-5 whether you need to go north or south.
Restaurants, coffee shops, shopping, all is near by ...walking or driving as well as several convenient bus lines that can take you to the Downtown.

Green, bike, swim, walk, play a short 9 in golf, visit the Zoo or watch recreational baseball, soccer or a tennis match. This is Seattle's "Central Park" and easily the best 3-mile walk in the city.

Freemont...This is "the center of the known world"...or so it is claimed in Freemont. This is also a great "high street area" with great shops, cafe's, pubs, exellent statues and a character all it's own. This is a don's miss neighborhood! Than Farmer's Market in Freemont is Sunday morning.

Hiram Chittenden Locks...Build in 1917.this mechanical wonder is located in a beautiful arboreal setting and features a continual flow of boats transiting from Puget Sound into Lake Union and beyond to Lake Washington. Salmon use the fish ladder from early July until mid October and you can view the fish via glass windows on the south side of the canal.

Ballard Avenue...One of the Seattle's favorite "high streets" offering great dining, music and true Seattle character as well as Sunday Farmer's Market that should not be missed.

University District Farmer's Market. Held year around this highly successful Farmer's Market is a real draw each Saturday.

Golden Gardens. This is a great white sand beach and park that is very lively in good weather. You will find wetlands, beaches, hiking trails and picnic and playground areas

In less than a mile you can be on the great Burke-Gilman trail that can take you north...partly along the Lake Washington all the way to the Chateau St. Michelle winery for a picnic (all day outing) or if you go south you will ride by the University of Washington and than toward Freemont (center of the Universe as it is called) along the Lake Union with amazing views if the Downtown Seattle
