This water & mountain view, one-of-a-kind 4000 s/f, spacious Seattle-style house (built in 2006) has large open and inviting living spaces and comes equipped with modern comforts and conveniences including marble fireplace, dark wood floors, large comfortable furnishings, plush rugs, heated floors, gourmet kitchen, carved wooden dining table which seats up to 12 people, a newly designed backyard with fire pit, and breathtaking views of Puget Sound and Olympic Mountains.
See a ball game, golf, fish, ski Snoqualmie, Crystal, and Steven's Pass, enjoy Discovery Park (4 blocks away) and run along the bluffs overlooking the Puget Sound, hike the beach, hills, mountains or kayak for the day all within minutes from the front door. This is a terrific setting for corporate retreats, weddings, reunions, and family vacations. Enjoy the local farmers' goods at Pike Place Mkt., the nearby Fisherman's Terminal for lunch (fresh fish right off the boats in the harbor), chartered fishing and other water tours, the highly acclaimed Ballard Locks, 5-star and value-priced shopping, theater, fantastic dining, and tons of kids' playgrounds and the city's largest nature reserve, Discovery Park. RELAX & ENTERTAIN ~ This three-level home is both cozy and spacious making it perfect for intimate or large-sized gatherings. Enjoy the feeling of a large, open floor plan where the living-dining areas flow with a beautiful gourmet kitchen then extend outward through French double doors leading to a large outdoor living area & patio. Comfortable natural material & fibered furniture and hardwood floors throughout the home make your stay luxuriously comfortable. Warm yourself inside in front of the fireplace or outside with a wood-burning fire pit and two large outdoor dining tables with chairs, all surrounded by a lush, secluded, fenced-in backyard that is both kid & dog friendly (NOTE: dogs approved on a case-by-case basis).
Remember we mentioned the views? it is the views from the front of the house that command the most attention! You will find no prettier property in which to relax and enjoy the sun setting behind the majestic Puget Sound and surrounding Olympic mountain range.
The gourmet kitchen will inspire the chef in you so indulge your culinary delights and enjoy the amazing bounty of the Pacific Northwest waters and farms. Stur up your new and tried-and-true favorite recipes on a six-burner gas stove, convection/conventional oven, built-in warming tray, microwave, food-processor, Kitchen Aide mixer, blender, two outdoor grills (gas & charcoal), rice cooker, ice cream maker, pasta machine, fish poacher, etc ...the property comes equipped with most any cooking device you can imagine. The kitchen has food prep space for 3-4 people, a large marble-topped island with pub-height seating for four, and a finely tooled formal oak table in the dining area which expands to seat all of your guests.

This property has THREE floors. The TOP floor has two full bedrooms (QUEEN & DOUBLE BEDS), a vaulted ceiling double master bath with two sinks, shower, tub.
The MIDDLE floor is accessed through the main entryway off of the large outdoor deck overlooking the water and mountains. This main floor has the living, dining, kitchen, areas as well as a powder room. There are two extra large/long sofas for additional sleeping options.
The BOTTOM floor has TWO (2) separate living quarters that provide additional open space & privacy. First, there is an apartment which has two Queen beds (a crib and two twin beds added upon request). This apartment has a living, dining, and TV area, heated floors, and a full bathroom with walk-in shower. The apartment can sleep six (6) adults with a 7th on the couch if you need it. This living area has a soft, warm, leather sofa, two living chairs, game table, flat screen TV with full cable, microwave, coffee maker, food prep area, dishes, glassware, etc. This apartment offers additional privacy with its double French doors that shut it off from the remainder of the bottom floor. It's a great for older folks or toddlers / parents who need a little quiet time. We also prefer that your pre-approved pet reside in this area with owner at night.
The bottom floor has another (separate) mid-sized bedroom with a flat screen TV with cable and a powder room. Perfect for a couple who wants privacy.
RELAXING COURTYARD & INTIMATE BACKYARD -
This property is naturally landscaped for privacy in a luxury neighborhood. A 6-foot tall fence, 15 to 18 foot tall trees, and a large dogwood tree surrounded by hand-dug flagstone path welcomes travelers & offers tranquility. There is a large hand poured patio, two outdoor tables to seat guests and a BBQ grills to perfect the outdoor experience.
QUALITY AMENITIES - All bedrooms feature beds with quality mattresses and pads, linens, sitting area, dressers, hanging rack and/or closet with organizers. The MIDDLE and BOTTOM living areas have flat screens with cable (HBO, Showtime, Encore, and 100+ cable TV channels), as well as high-speed wi-fi. Netflix & Amazon on the MIDDLE FLOOR TV. Washer and dryer with an iron and board. The home is stocked with games for ages 1 to 99, toddler toys, sporting equipment (please inquire for specifics), magazines, and dozens of books.
CLOSE TO EVERYTHING - On street parking is free and readily available. Metro bus stops 15 feet from the front door = Quick, easy freeway and Metro bus access to your destinations (Pike Place, Seattle Center, Nordstrom, Barneys, Macys, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Space Needle/IMAX/3D Cinemas, museums, stadiums, theater, Woodland Park Zoo, Bathhouse Theater, and Lake Union (Amazon & Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center). 15 minutes to University of Washington, UW Hospital and Medical Center, and Northgate Mall. 20 minutes to Boeing and Microsoft Headquarters. Within a quarter to half-mile radius from four grocery stores (QFC, Whole Foods, Metropolitan Market, and Albertsons) and a Bartells Pharmacy is in the neighborhood. Guests are less than a ½ mile from the best (kept secret) seafood store in Seattle!

REQUIREMENT TO RENT:
At time of reservation, Guest must provide valid, government issued identification and be not less than 21 years old at time of confirming a reservation. The guests(s) reserving the home must be present on the property during the entire time unless other, written, arrangements are made.
PayPal protects both the Guest and Owner and is the accepted method of payment.
RESERVATIONS, RATES, DEPOSITS & PAYMENT SCHEDULE:
To secure your reservation a deposit must be paid upon receipt of your Reservation Confirmation Contract & Invoice. The remaining balance is due 5 days later. If your reservation is made less than 30 days prior to your check-in, 100% payment is due upon receipt of contract & invoice.
We recommend you buy trip insurance. Refunds are given if we can re-book your dates. Your refund will be less any difference in the rental rate, PayPal transaction fees incurred by Owner, and a $150 processing fee.
PETS (DOGS ONLY) MUST BE PRE-APPROVED IN WRITING AND ARE ALLOWED ON A CASE-BY-CASE BASIS. NO PETS PERMITTED ON TOP (3RD) FLOOR.
Please contact Owner with specific information about your pet (breed, size/weight, age, gender) and include your phone number for a follow-up call from manager or owner. Pets are permitted ONLY with a signed agreement between Guest and Owner that includes pet details. Pet fees/deposits range from $50-$250 depending on the length of stay, age, breed, and size of pet, and whether guest reserves all or just a portion of the house. We try to be flexible with pets - we love them too!
CLEANING FEE & DEPOSIT INFORMATION: Itemized invoices are sent to Guests and contain all details about the rental, cleaning, and deposit amounts. Cleaning charges typically range from $200-$350 depending upon number of guests and/or length of stay. Reservation deposits are typically $500-$750 and can me more with larger parties, longer stays, pets, etc.
The location of the rental overlooks Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountain Range. It is four blocks form Discovery Park - the largest park/wildlife reserve in the City of Seattle. Enjoy your stay in an upscale, clean, quiet but lively, stunning neighborhood. Surrounded by water with a ring of huge mountains in the background, it does not get any better!

Our family gathered from all over the country to spend the holiday together, and it was just the right house for all of us! Plenty of room to gather in the living area, cook together and eat at a large dining table, plenty of beds, bedrooms, and bathrooms. Our experience renting through Vacation Home Rentals was very easy; our contact with the owner was also very good - she responded very quickly to our questions or concerns. She even got a Christmas tree for us to decorate! Her descriptions of local grocery stores, nearby parks and downtown attractions were accurate; the house was clean and well-equipped for anything we wanted to do (cook, movies, games). This was our first time using an online rental for a home, but will seriously consider it again for future family gatherings.

The owners were extremely welcoming and polite when we first arrived. We have been lucky to find such an amazing place to stay at during our trip to Seattle. If I was coming to Seattle again this would be my choice for my stay.

This home was a lovely place to stay while visiting Seattle! The owner, Jan, went out of her way to accommodate our party of six, including a baby and a toddler. The home is stunning and is located in a beautiful area with easy access to all the places we were interested in visiting. One difference we found from the previous rental by owner we had used was the fact that Jan lives in the home while you are there. This was not uncomfortable in the least, as she definitely gives you your "space", while being very gracious, friendly, and attentive to your needs. There are two dogs and a cat living in this home, but they are kept in a separate area, so no bother at all. (Just a "heads up" in case of allergies.). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this home and would definitely stay here again! Thanks again for everything, Jan!!

The property is spacious, comfortable, and convenient to get to all the Seattle hotspots. The owner is friendly, helpful, and extremely gracious! We were provided with lists of things to do and local places to go. The location has neighborhood look and beauty, but has a city feel with its city accessibility and proximity to stores. Water is visible from the property, and great sights of the city skyline and Puget Sound can be experienced from an extremely short drive or walk. We were able to make convenient day trips to Orcas Island and Olympia National Park. Mt St Helens and Rainier are accessible as well.
