Cabin sits on a beautiful, piece of private property surrounded by pines and Pike National Forest. You couldn't ask for a more perfect get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life

Lounge out on the huge wraparound deck with comfy futon, & two large rockers. Have your morning coffee or breakfast at the outdoor Bistro table, taking in views of the mountains and Pine Lake. Relax with nature by day, and bask in the fiery glow of stars at night. Without city lights you feel you can almost reach out and touch them!!

Grab your favorite book and relax in the large hammock that hangs between two towering pines, not to mention there's an awesome nearby tree swing

Enjoy an evening of warmth with your family or friends around the large fire pit, roasting marshmallows or sipping a glass of wineThere also horse shoes and ladder golf to keep

Hummingbirds love Lakeview, as many as 50 have been known to be there at a time. They are very entertaining to watch...

There is abundant wildlife including, Deer, Fox, Blue Heron, and Chipmunks. We have some beautiful Red Tail Hawks, Golden Eagles and our latest return of two Bald Eagles. Moose and Rocky Mountain Big Horn Sheep have been recently reintroduced to the area. A moose was spotted last year just down the road.

Take a walk across the road to our other property and fish the beaver ponds and Westcreek. Rainbow and Brown Trout can both be found thereYou might even see the busy beavers!!

Everyone will love the indoor hot tub and game room, with dart board, games, and a wonderful view of Thunderbutte Mountain from the large picture window

Westcreek has been said to be one of the best kept secrets. We are so excited to be able to share it with others. You will likely find this to be one of the best vacations ever!!

Amazing Family Get-Away

August 15, 2013

Upon arrival this cabin was a diamond sparkling on the secluded hillside. This cabin truly made Colorado live up to its colorful standards. Very clean, very decorative, and home cozy. Relaxing on the wrap around deck soaking up the scenery and listening to the humming birds is a must when staying here. I highly recommend this cabin to anyone staying in central Colorado. I traveled all the way from California to stay here with my family and I couldn't have asked for a better cabin/vacation.

Owner's reply:

We were delighted to have the Kuhn's as guests, and were soooo happy they had
such a wonderful time. They left the cabin in such amazing condition, you would
never know they were there. We hope they will visit again!! Thanks so much for
choosing Lakeview for your special time together. Jim and Deb

Family vacation colorado 2013

July 27, 2013

LOVED...LOVED...LOVED! We vacationed with our family of 5. (3 boys...13, 11, 8). The cabin was great! Plenty of room to roam. 3 bedrooms, along with a sofa sleeper. Great selection of movies to choose from. Saw deer every evening. Witnessed hummingbird quarrels every morning while drinking coffee on the porch, sitting in the futon with the kids. Boys loved the hot tub, wadding through the trout creek, hiking over the rocks & playing horseshoes. The views are incredible & location is VERY peaceful. Thank you so much Jim & Deb!

Owner's reply:

The Longs were the perfect guests. Very considerate and left the cabin in fantastic shape, thanks
for the extra effort. We are so happy you had such an amazing time and happy to been part of
the experience...

Amazing Place!!!!

July 14, 2013

We stayed here with our adult children, My sister and brother and our best friends. It was so roomy and cozy. every thing to the tiniest thing was thought of. We have already started planning our next stay. It is decorated right out of HGTV. So beautiful. We fished, cooked, grilled, saw a bear, Elk, Deer and so much more. I have to say my favorite thing to do was wake up before sunrise sit on the porch snuggle with a blanket and watch the humingbirds and wild life visit the stream. This was the best vacation our family has ever had. I cannot say enough about this luxury place. We were so thrilled we bought the owners a gift. Sign the guest book and sit back and enjoy the views. You wont want to leave. Truly Amazing. We will continue to revisit "our cabin" as we call it now. Was definitely home away from home.

Owner's reply:

We were delighted with the Pate's. They left the cabin in amazing condition, not often you find that
kind of consideration... We are so happy they had such an amazing time and look forward to having
them again and again.....

I believe in magic, now!

I have stayed here numerous times - for good reasons! There is a happy, healing energy that cannot be denied. There is something for everyone: quiet and calm, or activities, if you prefer! I have gone alone or with dogs and all were pleased! The scenery is fabulous. You can be alone or be with others and have as good a time. It's remote but you can get to a town not too far away (if you even want to). Lots of wildlife, beauty, and nice neighbors. Beautiful home with lots of amenities - the hot tub is great! I've known people who chose to live in this area and commute to Denver daily just b/c it's so beautiful! So awesome to just sit outside and listen to the creek and the animals. I will stay here many more times in the future and invite others to do the same : )

Owner's reply:

Thanks Suzannah!!

Amazing Colorado Retreat

January 25, 2012

Loved this cabin! Stayed here for the Thanksgiving weekend and couldn't have asked for more! All the comforts of home...from the bedrooms to the bathroom, kitchen, and living space...and don't forget the hottub! The area is great for walking/hiking around and a close drive to town. I need to go back for more relaxation!

Super fun girls extended weekend for a birthday getaway! Most of us live in Denver so it was such an easy drive to leave the big city and land in such a beautiful, peaceful and natural setting there. We were excited the minute we arrived and saw the beautiful cabin we would enjoy for the next several days. We were so comfortable and relaxed just sitting on the big deck, taking in all the natural beauty and walking around the lake in the mornings and evenings. First night we made a big dinner and then enjoyed a nice bonfire before going to bed. Woodland Park is nice and close and the next morning a few of us had a wonderful massage with Garen in town. Then we all met up and hit some of the local shops that were so amazing and fun to go through, we especially enjoyed Tweeds and the old junk shops. There is also a local movie theater and plenty of specialty restaurants in Woodland Park that I was not expecting. The cabin was so clean and cozy and user friendly...everything we needed was right there. The furniture and beds were super comfy, and the hot tub was the icing on the cake. We can't wait to make it back this year at least once, hopefully when the weather is warmer. Thanks to Deb and Jim for making it so easy and stress-free to set everything up. Their personal touch was much appreciated. We highly recommend this beautiful location to anyone, near or far, for an amazing getaway.

Excellent everything!!

This cabin is perfect! It's wooded around the cabin for approx about 200deg, and the remaining 160deg is open to beautiful view of the hills, horse ranch and the bridge! The decor, decks and access to the decks have been planned very well. No one aspect stands out, but all put together makes it an amazing property with good privacy. A larger family can utilize all the space including the game room. The indoor hot tub can be used at any time which certainly is an advantage. The mural in the master is beautiful! We took a couple of strolls to and by the lake which was very pleasant. The Bruners were very kind and went overboard to make sure we had a great anniversary weekend at this property. Chilled wine and glasses welcomed us. They were also very flexible with the check in and checkout times which made our stay all the more wonderful. We hope to come back to and spend some more quality time here. This is a great place for a family (includes the 4-legged kind!)
