Description from manager

This luxury cottage has off road parking, wi-fi and is alongside a river, located in the village of Sedgewick a short drive from Kendal in the Lake District and can sleep two people in two bedrooms.Beautifully crafted from local stone, Hawthorne Cottage is a luxury modern cottage in the traditional style. Packed with character beams and vaulted ceilings, the contemporary cottage style of the interior features a handcrafted window seat, wood burning stove and a wow-factor kitchen with range cooker and American style fridge. There are 2 bedrooms, 1 master double and 1 twin that share a modern bathroom with bathtub, separate shower cubicle, hand basin and WC. In an idyllic location on the banks of St Sunday’s Beck, the patio garden by the river is the ideal place to unwind. There's also ample off road parking for several cars. For a small group of friends or a family who want to explore the beautiful South Lakes and the lovely Yorkshire Dales, Hawthorn Cottage offers luxury accommodation at any time of year.

Town: Sedgwick is a small, quiet village approx 4.5 miles south of Kendal. A historic Lakeland town with a fine reputation for shopping, Kendal nestles on the banks of the River Kent and is known as the Southern Gateway to the Lakes. Its old cobbled lanes and byways branch off the attractive main street, and the stone ruins of 12th Century Kendal Castle sit perched on a hill with views over the town.
