“Beautiful, cozy & wonderful owner”

Reviewed 9 Mar 2017

My husband & I stayed at this stunning home for two weeks to celebrate my retirement. It had been over ten years since we had stayed in the area & this rental was by far the lovliest! From the very beginning of my contact with the owner Randy, it was an easy & pleasurable experience. It's rare these days to find people who are kind, hospitable & really care about how they treat people. Randy gave us all the discounts possible with this home, stayed in close contact with us in the months leading up to our stay & checked in with us while we were there assuring that all our needs were met...we even had chocolate chip cookies awaiting us upon our arrival! Even though this is a one BR cabin it can accommodate four people comfortably because of the size & layout. As soon as we entered the door we were surrounded by peace. The decor is tasteful & not "cheap looking" that we've found in other rentals. Since its called Sugar Bear Hideaway" the decor is a "bear theme" and it was just enough to make it feel "homey." We cooked most of our meals there & the kitchen was stocked with every utensil & cookware one would need for any meal, even a crockpot that we used twice! All the appliances appeared new & were in good working order, especially the ice maker! The gaslogs in the main living area had a blower & kept the room nice & toasty in the evenings. The master suite had a huge jetted tub that easily fit two comfortably

Owner's reply: Laurie--Was a pleasure helping you celebrate your retirement here in the mountains with us! We appreciate both the compliments of our cabin as well as your recognition of our desire to provide our guest a memorable experience. We will certainly look forward to your return in the near future! Thanks again for taking great care of our cabin--Randy & Melissa
