spend the day in Cades Cove.

room or if you're outside taking in the views from the decks.
Plus, we've brought the outside in by decorating Bearfoot Lodge with artwork
by a popular local wildlife and nature artist.

a few House rules:
- no smoking
- overflow parking within 1 minute walking distance of the cabin
- Bear resistance trash container outside of cabin. No dumping in the resort
dumpsters since bears need protections from human food. A FED BEAR IS A DEAD
BEAR! Let"™s protect our bears.

This cabin is PRIVATELY OWNED AND OPERATED. Since I live in Illinois, I have asked
my friend, Deva, to help with the cabin. She is a local and will assist you prior and
during your stay at the cabin. She is AMAZING, you'll see.

Come stay in our mountain home. Nowhere on earth is quite as beautiful as the
Smokys.
Area Information
Bearfoot Lodge, located in Covered Bridge Resort has a view of Bluff Mountain and the valley below.

The resort is ideally located, without Parkway Driving, to Tanger Outlet Mall, Dollywood, Island at Pigeon Forge, and two entrances to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Metcalf Bottoms is a beautiful picnic area and get yourself wet in the Little Pigeon River along with a short hike to the Walker Sisters cabin. Cades Cove entrance to the Smoky Mountains is just down the road about 15 to 20 minutes from the Bearfoot Lodge, it depends on how slow you drive to enjoy the drive through Wears Valley. Cove Mountain in Wears Valley is the largest individually owned mountain east of the Mississippi River. Two alpine coaster rides and two zip line courses are 3 to 5 minutes from Bearfoot Lodge.

A beautiful Kroger grocery store is 5 minutes away and a new Publix store will be opening the same distance in 2016. A super Walmart is also nearby with only 1 block of Parkway driving.

More Information

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is the terrain to access Bearfoot Lodge?
A: Bearfoot Lodge is in a resort community. When you enter the resort, you will travel up a hill to access the cabin. There is one turn on the hill en route. From the entrance of the resort to the Bearfoot Lodge is under 1 minute. While Bearfoot Lodge has a beautiful view of Bluff Mountain, you will not be hanging from a cliff.
Q: What is the parking?
A: If you park diagonally, you can get 3 to 4 cars in front of Bearfoot Lodge. There is a requirement in the resort to not block the roadway so emergency vehicles cannot access the rest of the resort. There is over flow parking 1/2 way up the hill to Bearfoot Lodge on your left. This lot is a 2 minute walk to the cabin.
Q: How do we handle trash?
A: You are in the mountains and there are bears, raccoons and other animals in the mountains. Garbage is a real problem. We have supplies a bear resistant trash container with two large trash cans to place your trash. There is instructions inside the cabin if all trash containers are full and you know you will require more space for trash. DO NOT use the resort dumpsters. DO NOT place trash and garbage on the ground where animals can tear it apart and make a mess. Remember, a fed bear is a dead bear.
