Description of the Sevierville vacation cabin rental
Majestic Oak Lodge is a beautiful 3 bedroom/3 bath luxury log cabin in a small security-gated mountain community that is centrally located between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge.
Active lifestyle guests will find the cabin’s location incredibly convenient -- within a 15 minute radius you can be in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, at Dollywood Theme Park and Splash Country Water Adventure Park, at the brand new Ripkin Baseball Complex, shopping along the Arts and Crafts loop or any of the hundreds of other great attractions in Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge.
If you prefer your vacation to be more about relaxation at a quiet retreat, you will love the private and peaceful setting... you can kickback in a comfy rocker on the huge, covered wraparound porch to sneak a lazy-day nap on a warm afternoon, or take in a relaxing soak in the hot tub on a cool mountain evening.

Once you are thoroughly refreshed from the beautiful surroundings of the outside, come back inside the immaculate cabin to enjoy your favorite beverage by a cozy fire or over a game of pool with a friend.  Other options that sports fans may enjoy include catching up on every NFL game available on NFL Sunday Ticket or any of the dozens of other sports channel choices.  Movie lovers can snuggle in for a night of High-Definition BluRay viewing or select a classic from any of the 50+ movie channel choices (HBO, Cinemax, Starz, Showtime)  to enjoy on the 100+ inch HD projection screen in the theater room.

Getting there is pretty simple…guests don't need to navigate nail-biting windy switchback mountain roads to get to the cabin because the private road behind the gate provides access to the neighborhood that is nearly straight up & down the mountain.  The cabin’s driveway is paved and in perfect condition and also flattens out for a huge private parking area in front of the cabin.  It is worth noting however that although the driveway itself isn't especially long, it is quite steep.  So, unless you're one of the Duke boys on holiday from Hazard county and you are looking to take the General Lee for a jump, you're not going to want to enter this driveway with a head of speed :-)   Joking aside, it's a steep driveway that will remind you that you're in the mountains but nothing to be concerned about -- I'd just rather let guests know up front so there's no surprise on that first entry into the driveway.
When you rent the Majestic Oak Lodge it is all yours to enjoy with your (up to) 5 other guests.  There's a private little yard that has been the focus of some big recreational upgrades throughout late spring and will be completed in early summer of 2016 (fire pit area completed in May & a horseshoe pit area is under construction for July completion).  The yard is also bordered by a wooded area of 1.5 acres of our property for you to explore or take a short hike in the woods.

One important item for guests to note regarding internet access:  Service is an OPTION available to guests.  Due to the remote location of the cabin, high-speed satellite internet service high data is the sole option for Majestic Oak Lodge.  Unlike conventional broadband cable/DSL service (with unlimited bandwidth usage) that most guests may be familiar with, satellite internet is an expensive (per-Gigabyte used) data service based on actual bandwidth consumption.  As such, guests requiring access to the cabin’s WiFi internet service will incur an additional fee of $10 per lodging night of your stay. Weekly rentals (7 nights) will be charged a flat fee of $50

Our house rules are pretty simple and mostly common sense.  Please be respectful and treat our cabin the way you would hope visitors would if it was YOUR own home.  Pets and Smoking are strictly prohibited in the cabin for a number of reasons and will be a surefire way of ruining your opportunity to make additional memories at Majestic Oak Lodge on future visits to the area.  Please carefully review the rental Terms & Conditions for information on the covered items included in your Accidental Damage Insurance policy.  Please also note the policy for non-covered damages which include smoking and pet violation cleaning fees.

"AWESOME! FIVE STARS!! The house was perfect and very clean. The owner was very attentive to our needs. Hot tub and firepit were great! -- Pam E. verified guest

“Michael's cabin was the perfect location for our family get together. He was quick to respond and great to rent from. The cabin comfortably fits 6 and has plenty of areas to entertain. We loved sitting around the fire pit, relaxing in the Jacuzzi and just sitting around the huge deck enjoying the quiet area. The steep drive was no trouble at all, the kids actually got a kick out of it. I highly recommend this cabin. One of my favorite family trips!”     -- Amy Lynn, verified guest

"Michael was an excellent communicator. The information that he provided regarding the cabin prior to arrival was honest and accurate. He sent a message on the date of our arrival checking in to make sure we had arrived safely and that there were no concerns with the cabin. The cabin appeared just as expected based on the pictures. It was very well maintained and contained everything you needed. The theater room is a very nice place to get cozy after a long day of exploring the area's attractions. The cabin is a great place for families to feel like they have their own private space while also having large entertaining spaces."       -- Kristi, verified guest

"The cabin was "remote enough" to get away from the hustle/bustle, but only 20 minutes away from Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and entrance to the Smokies. The cabin was immaculate and well maintained. Michael (owner) checked in with us via text before, during and after our stay to make sure everything was OK. I highly recommend this property and would stay here again!" -- Jean, verified guest

"Do yourself a favor and stay here! This cabin was perfect for what my family was looking for. Location was perfect! 15 minutes away from downtown Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg located in a very private hilltop gated community a little off the beaten path of other vacation cabins but away from all the crazy traffic and main roads. Relaxation at it's finest! So quiet and peaceful and in a beautiful wooded private setting as well. No other cabins right next to or on top of you. The owner Michael couldn't be any better to work with. Had a scheduling conflict after booking and he had no problem in taking care of our needs. Very attentive and easy to reach. Wonderful owner. The cabin itself (inside and out) was just beautiful and the pictures don't do it justice. Must see to appreciate all the details. From the great size bedrooms with nice and comfy king beds (and nice flat screen tv's), large roomy kitchen with everything one would need at their own home (nothing missed), the entertainment rooms couldn't be any better, wonderful bathrooms (loved the shower in master bath) to the outdoor layout of hot tub, porch swings and outdoor dining table was great plus a nice fire pit area. The approaching driveway was something else (steep) but fun to drive up and down on entry and exit during our adventures. I can go on and on. I'm a very picky traveler that has stayed at many vacation rentals and this ones one of the best!" -- Zig T., verified guest

This place was amazing. Has everything you need for a nice get away. 15 minute drive to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Plenty of room in this place. My wife and I stayed with two other couples. I'd highly recommend staying here. Only bad thing I can say is this cabin has a very steep driveway. Flattens out at the bottom, we had no trouble getting in and out, just have to take your time in and out. -- Damien, verified guest
