Description from owner

New, Clean, peaceful, private and just minutes away from all Smoky Mountain and Douglas Lake attractions. Traffic will be backed up this weekend coming into town. You can jump off Interstate 40 at either Exit 407 or 412 and be relaxing at The Cottage while others are sitting in traffic. Relax in the hot tub or rockers on the screened in porch and watch the beautiful sunset and view of the French Broad River. After a good night's sleep in our new, clean King-size beds, you can embark on the area attractions in the morning after the traffic has slowed down. Plus, we can direct you to roads from The Cottage to minimize the traffic. We are fortunate to have a beautiful mountain lake just down the road from us, less than a mile, with plenty of fishing. They are also bass tournaments on Douglas Lake.

Beds: 2 King Beds, 1 Sofa Bed

“Refreshing!”

Reviewed 26 Jul 2016

First I have to say, I do not remember the month we stayed. We go to Tennessee VERY often! lol However, I can say this was one of the best places we have ever stayed at. Extremely clean and tidy. Beds were comfortable and the surrounding area was quiet and peaceful. Not far from town. Would recommend it and we will be back again!

“Small family getaway”

Reviewed 22 Jul 2015

My husband and I and two of our six children were able to stay in the gatlinberg area on the way back from a visit to Virginia to see my sister. The cottage was perfect for our small family and so close to the area attractions.

Owner's reply: Thank you so much for the wonderful review. It is always nice to hear that our guests enjoyed their stay and was happy with the accommodations. We strive in making our guest feel welcome and provide a clean nice place to relax and enjoy. We hope to have you again in the future as our guest at the Cottage or (Country Charm if you need a larger place to stay). Again we appreciate the nice comment. Jim & Claudia Falin
