“Family Vacation on the Waters of Puget Sound”

Reviewed 11 Sep 2013

My sisters and our husbands had a wonderful time during our stay at this Beach House. The view of the water and surrounding scenery was beautiful. The deck overlooking the water was great, as we spent most of our time out there. We barbecued fresh oysters and cooked up some fresh crab. We played pool and ping pong, as well as cards, board games and watched movies. But, the greatest thing was being with family and sharing the time together, enjoying one another and being in a calm, relaxing atmosphere. There is still some remodeling taking place. We look forward to going again when everything is completed.

Owner's reply: Thanks a ton for coming and we look forward to seeing you again and the bottom deck will be done!

“comfortable and peaceful”

This beach house property was a wonderful place to relax and get away from it all. My kids loved the gameroom and the many choices on Netflix. We loved the crab, oysters, the kayaking, and sitting on the dock looking out over the water.

Owner's reply: Thank you again for staying with us and we hope you come back again.

“Great rental!”

Reviewed 18 Aug 2013

This place is very peaceful and secluded. It had plenty of room for our family of four and our chihuahua. The view of the bay was beautiful, the sound of the lapping water was restful and the clams we harvested were delicious! About an hour from Olympia and the trip to Seattle was made by driving 1/2 hour to Bremerton and taking the hour ferry ride over. Only wish the cabin would have had cable but we were so busy we didn't miss it much.

“Wonderful time”

We had a wonderful time celebrating my 60th birthday at the beach house. The owners were super nice, easy to work and answered our questions very quickly, especially when we couldn't find the ping-pong balls. Enjoyed seeing a harbor seal on their dock every night.

Owner's reply: Thank you for taking such great care of the home and we look forward to you coming back again. Take care, The Stancato's

“Beyond Our Expectations!”

Reviewed 7 Aug 2013

This home was a wonderful retreat for our large family! We were in the midst of wedding prep and the wedding, and we needed a safe spot to relax in between all of it, and this home supplied it. The lake is wonderful, peaceful, and a nice early morning event. Thank you for sharing your beauty with us!

“Good for Big Groups”

Reviewed 10 Apr 2013

This site was still being remodeled when we stayed. So things were incomplete or dusty. But the place has wonderful potential for all that they appear to be doing. Best for extended families or bunch of friends wanting to stay near the water. Ideally the warmer the weather the more there is to enjoy. The owners were very nice and accommodating. Certainly worth the trip out.

Owner's reply: Thank you for the response and we hope you come back and see everything when it is complete. We hope to have the hot tub and 2nd deck complete. Take care, The Stancato's

“Unforgettable Family Vacation”

Reviewed 25 Feb 2013

Slightly belated review, but I can't rave enough about this vacation house. We are a family of 5 with 3 young kids under 6 and everyone loved it. We barbecued oysters nightly, fished from the dock after dinner and spent every minute we could in the water. Shelton is a quick 10 minute drive with an easy to get to Safeway with a great park for kids. Olympia is a 35 minute drive for shopping centers and more activities. I also highly recommend taking the ferry to Seattle for a day trip and definitely take the 90 minute drive to Olympic National Park for some awesome hiking.

Owner's reply: Thank you for the nice review. We would love to have you come back and thank you for taking such great care of the home. We are adding another deck this summer!! Take care, The Stancato's

“Stunning location - great for families”

Reviewed 23 Aug 2012

This is a really beautiful, well laid out house in a stunning location. Good things: marvelous house, nicely furnished, beautiful surroundings, great kitchen and baths, great dock, great activities, games, etc. This is a perfect getaway for a family. The owners were really easy to deal with and accommodating. We have very few complaints, which relate to very minor comforts (e.g. the bed upstairs was too soft for my taste, and one set of flannel sheets were old and pilly). I do really wish the chairs outside were more comfortable. The setting is so beautiful that I just wanted to sit outside all day, but the chairs weren't very comfy. These are very picky complaints.

Owner's reply: Thank you for the great review and hope to see you again. There soon will be a Hot tub on the new deck below on the water!!! We just caught 4 king salmon!!

“Fantastic Rental”

Reviewed 10 Oct 2011

This house is right on the water and had fantastic views from the huge deck right out the back door. Included in the house is a large family/game room that has a pool table, ping pong table, darts and large television. The bedrooms have nice comfortable beds and high quality linens. The kitchen has everting you would need to prepare any meal. We made brownies and found the correct measuring cups and pans for the endeavour. There is a lower dock where you can fish or take out a paddle boat. My 8 year old caught a large trout right off the dock. There is a small store, two or three restaurants and a fantastic bakery within two miles of the house. We plan to go there again.

“Mary Kay”

We stayed week and had two groups of grandchildren, seven in all. This was our second year, the kids had a blast. there are so many water toys,a canoe, two small kayaks, two docks, and a foot pedaled boat. We also brought our 22 ft C-Dory which we tied to the dock. we took the bunch on a few trips to dig clams at Vaughn and to theRFK state Park. Then, of course we have the inside toys , a pool table, ping pong table lots of board games . The huge deck was our gathering lace for dinner and making smores over a fire. Best of all is the neighbors, Pam and Mike, they invited us over to meet all the neighbors. It was great to get to talk to such fun adults,a nice break from all the kids. It"s a great place!! We will be back...
