“Beautiful Setting!”

Reviewed 22 Jun 2016

We are a family of 12 and found this home to be comfortable and accommodating. The write up on the house makes the sleeping arrangements sound a bit better than reality, because it assumes people are comfortable sharing beds. The full size lower bunks for us only slept one per bed, but there is a nice futon in the living room and an extra mattress in the bunk room that made up for that. We loved the great deck, the dock, boats and the floating "trampoline". The kitchen enabled us to cook our own meals by providing necessary pans and utensils. We did not like the taste of the water, so we bought some bottled water. There was an issue with the BBQ but we contacted the owners and they had that resolved right away for us. I would caution that it might not be the best choice for a family with a young toddler because there are a LOT of stairs, inside the house as well as outside. We have an infant and a 3 year old, so it worked fine for us.The house was clean and had plenty of bedding available and a homey feel. Much better than a hotel, and for us, much less expensive. We were very pleased with the owners and how caring and communicative they were.

“Perfect family gathering spot!”

Reviewed 23 Aug 2012

We had a great experience. The owners were lovely people and made our visit very special. The lake is wonderful and the kids wanted to be in it constantly, regardless of the weather! The only slightly negative thing was the water system made the water very salty. The first night we hadn't brought any water, and it was undrinkable, including as coffee! This was an easy fix and the rest of the weekend was great. We also enjoyed the walk around the lake which you could also easily bike (no shoulder but very little traffic). We can't wait to come back!

Owner's reply: Thanks Michelle, Hope we can do it again next year ... you left the house LOVELY and we greatly appreciated your help/patience w/the water system. Have a great rest of summer. Kateri and family PS We had water system serviced ASAP.
