Area Information
Minutes from attractions such as Antietam Battlefield, Harper's Ferry, the C&O Canal and the Shenandoah River and enjoying proximity to institutions like the National Conservation Training Center and Shepherd University, the Inn at Moler's Crossroads is ideal for business and pleasure.

Shepherdstown enjoys a diverse and tolerant community of folk who enjoy the simplicity of country life. Its citizens are urbane in their thinking, attracted to culture and fine living with respect for the natural environment. It's home to many retired US Foreign Service Officers who share a love of international travels, good food and talk of foreign affairs, but also home to many West Virginia natives as well as the academic and arts community at Shepherd University.

Shepherdstown, located along the Potomac River in Jefferson County, is the oldest town in West Virginia, established in 1762. Its history dates back to the 1730s, when the Colony of Virginia granted Thomas Shepherd 222 acres in Frederick County on the south side of the Potomac River. And only 90 minutes drive from Washington, DC and Baltimore.

Moler's Crossroads is an unincorporated community in Jefferson County, West Virginia. On July 16, 1863, the Virginia Cavalry moved northeast to Moler's Cross Roads (now the intersection of Engle Molers and Knott Roads) and it was here that they successfully delayed Union reinforcements from coming to the aid of their compatriots near Shepherdstown.
