About the area

It's all here at Midnight Cove in Siesta Key, an elegant gulf side and bayside beach vacation condominium, stretching over 11 acres from the Gulf of Mexico to the Intercoastal Waterway, that combines luxurious amenities with a relaxed island vibe that appeals to both visitors and locals, a place to lay back and relax, and let the warm breezes, cool water, and soft sand transport you to your personal paradise. Siesta Key is alive with laid-back tropical atmosphere, and has everything you want for a restful visit to rejuvenate or for the rest of your life! Siesta Key is a crescent shaped, eight-mile long barrier island about 50 miles south of Tampa, just offshore of Sarasota, and directly on the Gulf of Mexico, and home to some of the most beautiful soft pristine white sand beaches in the world. From one end of the island to the other, you will experience a vibrant island lifestyle, and wherever you go and whatever you do in Siesta Key, you will experience the warm welcome and island hospitality that brings people to Siesta Key and calls them back year after year. Siesta Key offers a unique ambiance for visitors and residents alike, a destination for all who stay or live in the Sarasota area, thanks to the the world's finest white sand beaches, resorts, shopping, nightlife, a wide variety of live entertainment and unique dining options that stretch the entire length of the island, and the delicious cuisine of an assortment of American, French, Italian, and Oriental restaurants. Siesta Key has three wonderful beaches, where you can play, relax, or walk along the water's edge, Crescent Beach, Siesta Beach (public), and Turtle Beach (public). Unlike the sand on beaches elsewhere that are made up mostly of coral, the sand on Crescent Beach, and Siesta Beach is 99% pure quartz, pulverized to a fine white powder. Even on the hottest days, the sand is so reflective that it feels soft and relatively cool to the touch, no matter how high the temperature rises. Enjoy a refreshing swim in the pool, test your tennis game, play a game of beach volleyball, ride a bike, fly a kite, or just do whatever you want to do. The weather in Siesta Key is truly exceptional, an almost-perfect year round warm subtropical climate, making every sort of outdoor activity available and enjoyable nearly year-round. Once you discover how wonderful Siesta Key is, you'll want to be here as much as you possibly can. Enjoy the many outdoor activities, such as fishing, searching for shells, para-sailing, sail-boarding, boating, kayaking, snorkeling, scuba diving, bicycling, roller-blading, build sand castles, sunbathe and soak up the warm afternoon sunshine, plunge into the sparkling aqua blue Gulf of Mexico, or just walk the beach dipping your toes in the surf. As you walk along Crescent Beach, enjoy the sunshine and tropical breezes, track the flight of a flock of pelicans, see egrets, sandpipers, ospreys, seagulls and the many other shore birds, including terns, plovers, ibis, spoonbills, and storks. Bird watching is one of the favorite activities of residents and visitors alike. The many varieties of wading birds, like the beautiful snowy egret, the great heron, and the 4 to 5 foot tall Sandhill Cranes with their bright red heads and distinctive calling sounds, are just a few of the different types to be seen. Offshore, dolphins and manatees are often spotted frolicking in the gulf and bay waters. Enjoy your holiday in the Florida sunshine relaxing on a private piece of world famous Crescent Beach with silky white quartz sands. Twenty golf courses are nearby if that is your choice of leisure. The tropical climate on Siesta Key offers you rest, relaxation and recreation. Miles of beach, plus salt air and gentle breezes from the Gulf of Mexico add up to a dream vacation. Find a comfortable spot in the late afternoon to view the breathe taking moment when the sun dips below the horizon and paints the sky in strokes of red and orange.

Reviewed 2 Jan 2013

Excellent property with lot of parking, laundy on site and warm water in the pool, which was really appreciated on the cooler dates, speacially by the kids. Close walk to a white sandy beach was on asset. Condo was very spacious and full equipped. We have enjoed the stay. Will use the property for sure again. Love teh area.

“Great Place to Stay!!!!!”

Reviewed 10 Jan 2012

We stayed here with our three children. It surpassed our expectations. Very clean and up to date. The beach was just across the street a couple mins to walk to. The beach was just beautiful and the staff at Midnight Cove were very helpful putting up umbrellas and helping with the lounge chairs. Two pool to swim in and both very clean. My husband and sons did some fishing off the docks on the bay side. Very close to all the shopping. Overall will definetey be back. Thank you Vic for letting us stay. It was great!

“Relaxation - Fun in the sun.”

Reviewed 16 Jun 2011

We had a much enjoyable time at Midnight Cove #532. We enjoyed the view every morning overlooking the lagoon. Every morning we had a visit from one of two egrets. My 6 year old nephew looked forward to having cereal with his new friend he named "Charlie". However; the locals have named these two friends, but I won't spoil the fun for you to find out. Every day we enjoyed the beach. The sands were like powder and the ocean was crystal blue. The staff at Midnight Cove maintain the property and ensure that you have chairs and umbrellas available for you and will even help put the umbrellas in the sand. If you choose to eat out, there are plenty of choices for you. Might we suggest Siesta Key Oyster Bar, The Old Salty Dog, or Phillipe's Oyster Bar. The surrounding community has plenty of activities to keep you busy and lots of shops to look around in. We know you will enjoy the stay and the area. Please come down for some fun in the sun. You truly will not regret it.

“Excellent Place, Fantastic Price!”

Reviewed 18 May 2011

The condo was very clean and had everything we needed, with all of the updates. We usually stay on the gulf side and I was was worried about it and found out I liked this even better, especially for the price. The condo is the first building so its a very short walk and we had an excellent view of the lagoon and pool. You also get a great breeze from the lanai and it is very peaceful. The best part was not having to carry chairs and umbrellas, as they were provided for us at the beach. We had a minor leak in the air conditioning and Vic called a repairman and had it fixed within 2 hours. We will definately be returning!! Thanks, Vic!

“Simply Wonderful”

Reviewed 9 Nov 2010

Midnight Cove #532 was fantastic. All the amenities of home and then some! The unit was VERY clean, beautifully decorated and had every kitchen basic you would need. The pools were very warm and clean, and everyone was so pleasant and helpful. It was just a short walk to Crescent Beach, which has sand that reminded me of powdered sugar! Some really fun eating and drinking establishments are very close by - some within walking distance and some just a short drive away. I would DEFINITELY return to this unit without a doubt. Thanks Vic!

“Excellent accommodations and value!”

This unit was topnotch! Granite counter tops and table, very nice furniture, spacious rooms--everything we needed was available, and the location was ideal. It was every bit as nice or nicer than other places we paid double the money for on our last trips.

“Just a delight”

Reviewed 3 Oct 2009

These two sisters from Germany had an absolutely wonderful time at your lovely condo. And the price in September was fantastic! The condo is very neat, comfortably furnished, lots of space, very good equipment in the kitchen, and the balcony, without mosquito screens (!) is a delight. Everything is close by. The beach is the third best in the world (I read this!) and only 2 minutes away, just across the street. People are very friendly, and the food in casual restaurants is really good. The long walks along the snow white beach is so relaxing. We had a superb time!

“Great Vacation!”

Reviewed 13 Sep 2009

My husband and I live in Sarasota and always take our vacation in town. Why leave paradise when you live there? The condo is centrally located to any place you want to visit. Siesta Beach is the most beautiful beach in the area. This unit is on the bay side so we were able to bring our boat and do some great fishing. (it only cost $25.00 to keep the boat there all week. Most places in the area run $50.00 per night) My husband is a local fishing guide so we have the added advantage of finding the good fishing spots. We caught some nice redfish and put it on the grill located just steps from the unit. The unit was the cleanest I have ever seen and the view was beautiful. The week we stayed the place was empty because the kids had gone back to school. The pool is also just steps away and it was great because there wasn't anybody there. We even celebrated my birthday in the village (Siesta Key Village) which was a lot of fun. It is the perfect location. Very peaceful and pretty. Would definitely stay there again.
