Description of the Siesta Key vacation home rental
Your home away from home--our beautiful four bedroom house is located in a quiet, upscale neighborhood only two blocks to Siesta Beach, the largest and most beautiful beach on the key. We are also an easy walk to the Village for restaurants, shopping and entertainment.

Our home has been completely redecorated and refurnished including designer finishes throughout. The difference is in the details: granite counter tops, new kitchen, rebuilt bathrooms, private heated and screened pool/lanai with spacious sun room adjoining the pool, new cooling/heating system with UV air purification, and a big screen TV plus three other TVs, all on Direct satellite.

The home has cable wireless internet, iHome stereo alarm clocks in each bedroom, phone, fax, laundry, gas grill and a two car attached garage.

We have a very private, tropically landscaped yard. The master bedroom has a king bed with the other bedrooms having a queen, two twins and a full/twin combination bunk bed which is always first choice with the kids.

Our home is a great place to relax, and a perfect home base to explore the other barrier islands, Sarasota, Tampa and the theme parks. This is a truly special place in a peaceful and and quiet location. Please see our pictures and our virtual tour.

Area Information
Our home is located in a private neighborhood very near the beach. The area is very quiet. We have palm trees all around the yard and surrounding the pool, with 75 foot Norfolk Island pines on each side. It is a beautiful setting in a perfect location--extremely close to the beach and the dining and entertainment activities of Siesta Village, without the noise and congestion.

Siesta Beach is repeatedly voted one of the best beaches in the world, and often the best beach in Florida. Sand does not get whiter nor more beautiful, and the aquamarine, clear Gulf waters do not get more perfect.

Perfect place to spend vacations with the family. Perfectly clean, with a great kitchen equipment, very good matresses, and a lot of outdoor activities equipment. Great clean pool in a garden with privacy. Calm, sunny and close (10mn walking distance) to beautiful Siesta key!

great house to stay in

August 15, 2014

I rented this house with my family it was great, the beach was literally a seven minute walk plus you walk in this cute town to the beach so the walk is worth it. The house pool was great and the hot tub amazing and I liked how their was a huge tv outside to watch cable or listen to music while you grill. The inside of the house needs to be updated ( carpet stains in kitchen) but still very nice stay for a family with kids. Lots of toys in house for kids to play with. I really liked how they had cable tv in two bedrooms. One thing they dont have and need to build is a fence blocking the canal because its scary for kids to walk over there and backyard not so big so your constantly watching your kids so they don't fall in the canal, but if there was a fence it would have been a little more relaxing. Overall very nice and would come back if they build a fence, but if you don't have young kids its an awesome stay. Also the people that own the house are awesome at replying back when you have a question and you can call them when ever you need to.

The unit was very nice and comfortable. The pool was warm and unrefreshing... but it was it was also August. The only real complaints I had was the main bathroom sink had a very s-l-o-w drain. Taking hours to drain completely. Also, the den bedroom and the den bathroom (add-ons to the original structure I would assume) were very warn due to no ventilation whatsoever. Running a fan is a necessity. Both of these complaints had been given by countless others. I know adding ventilation would be an expense, but continuing to not fix the drainage in the bathroom sink is inexcusable.

Awesome Pool!

July 6, 2014

This house is awesome, not too big, but just big enough. My boys loved to have a room each, with TV and private bathroom. The pool is large and perfect for several people to play in it. The little water fountain off the side of the pool is very relaxing if you're just laying in the sun listening to it. The location is great, just a couple of blocks to the beach access, but best of all it's in the middle of a side street, you get no noise at all from the traffic on either "main" street. It's close to the free shuttle and even walking distance to some restaurants and shopping (depending on how much you like to walk, it's about 7-8 streets away). The owners provide bikes and a beach cart and several toys, which makes it easier, we didn't have to take as much stuff with us, and it also saved us money on bike rentals. We will for sure come back!!!! Lovely place!

It was a fabulous place to vacation. We enjoyed it and so did everyone who came down to visit with us, children and adults The beach was so beautiful and convenient to get to. The village was a fun place to walk to and eat some meals in. The house had a beautiful pool that we enjoyed using and the spa e was really great.

A tropical nightmare

May 16, 2011

This was our 4th visit to Sarasota in 5 years. On all previous visits we have rented a house in Siesta Keys. This time we expected a "tropical paradise" but instead we got something more like a nightmare. 1. The house was dirty and shabby when we arrived. Badly cleaned. 2. The staircase that connects the two floors and roof and is a important pathway in the house is very rotten and dangerous. The railings are loose and you get the feeling that the whole thing can break down. 3. When we arrived there was very little of glasses and other household equipment. 4. It took two days to get the internet working. 5. There is not a insect net over balconies or swimming pool. At times there was impossible to stay outside because of insects. The pool soon became very dirty because of leaves and insects. 6. "The hidden gem" - rooftop balcony was a disappointment. 7. One block to the beach is really reaching out, it is a long one block. 8. The house is worn and old and needs a restoration. This should be clear for everyone that wants to rent it. It is a strange mixture of two separate apartments. There is not a big and cosy living room. TVs are old and strangely positioned. 9. The furniture is a bad mixture of old things. 10 There was no shed for a car. 11. I was disappointed that the house did not have any equipment for families with a infant or a toddler. Not a crib or a high-chair. Overall I would not recommend this house to a family with a small child, even if all the other problems were fixed. 12. Based on this I have to say that the rent is far to high. 13. The owner tried to make some arrangements to fix the things that we complained about, but mostly he became angry and irritated. He stubbornly refused a discount to us that I proposed as a gesture of making things better. This also ment that we had to have various people visiting us to fix things while we where supposed to be on a vacation. 14. The beds were good. I know I have mentioned a lot of negative things here but this is important because we have on three previous visits stayed in houses of a much better quality for a lower price. Based on what I found wrong with this house I consider this deal a rip-off, and it leaves a sour taste in the mouth. Nevertheless we had a good time in Sarasota and Siesta Key as a family. We travelled a lot and visisted many tourist attractions. We plan to return but this time we are going to stay with the rental agency that we have a previous good experience with.

Ok stay..

April 6, 2011

The unit we stayed in was nothing fancy but perfect for our needs. The only problem I had... there was absoutely no extras. For example, toliet paper, garbage bags, dish/clothes washing liquid, items to help clean the unit??? I didn't realize I needed to buy all that stuff for a 1 week stay. For 2000.00/wk, you would think they would supply the unit with some of the neccessities to help keep the unit clean. Plus the garbage did not get picked up that week. It smelled pretty bad.

Overall bad experience

March 6, 2011

House was in great location, however maintenance of the property was extremely poor. Some examples: no instructions or welcome upon arrival (internet, pool, trash). Back sliding doors unable to lock, oven not able to turn off, large blind in master bedroom broken (unable to utilize screened in porch), garage door broken, coffee pot, outdoor grill, patio heater in too bad of condition to use, large screen tv with bad reception, broken ceiling fan in master bed, leaking toilet in guest bath......many other problems & complaints that I can not remember.
