Reviews for this vacation condo rental in Siesta Key, Florida

Fabulous beachfront property
January 22, 2014
We had a family gathering here (4 days) & it was wonderful in every way! None of us had ever been to Siesta Key & felt so fortunate to find such nice accommodations --& liked the location, as the north end of the island is much less crowded than the middle & southern end--yet only couple of blocks from the Village shops & restaurants. The condo was, as described, newly renovated & well furnished. There is a large patio facing the beach---perfect for eating outside & enjoying the sunsets. They even had a generous supply of beach chairs which we could take to the beach. The condo was also very clean. Nice touches like coffee, sugar, creamer, salt, pepper, kleenex , soap, shampoo, etc. The whole staff was very nice & helpful. Frank, the manager & Roger, the owner, gave us wonderful recommendations for restaurants. It was an added pleasure to have our dogs there with us---very dog friendly place. We plan to come back & stay longer!

I rented this based on proximity to town. I've never been to Siesta before, and no one I knew had been there either. I was looking for a place to hold my family comfortably, and it did. First look I was delightfully surprised at how quaint and lovely, yet roomy this Condo was. It is a home away from home, just pack your suitcase! Publix store is very close and you can shop as soon as you get there. Sandbox has it all, BBQ and Stove. We pre-made some meals prior to coming to lessen the time in the kitchen. The fridge is huge and you can store a lot! Beach chairs are supplied, all you need is sunscreen! Couple of things...towels are hard to come by....pack some beach towels....you will want to pick up a couple of floating boards, tubes for The Gulf. They don't have umbrellas for the beach so pick one up, you will need one and make sure it's vented because it gets quite breezy there. I also recommend getting everything in writing prior to arrival...a little mix up at the end, but really no bearing on the trip! I went with my children 20, 18 and 14, all had a blast. I thought at first I didn't like that there are no resturants/bars on the beach, but after being there a couple of nights was very glad there weren't kept it quiet and family oriented. It is withing walking distance to the town, and there are some cute restaurants there to choose from.

Wonderful place for the whole family

This house was perfect for the whole family! Upon our arrival the kids were thrilled to find beach and pool toys in the garage. There is also an additional refrigerator in the garage, which was very useful for the larger food items. As we unpacked our items, we found the labels on the cabinets, drawers, and shelves, which were very helpful also. There are plenty of kitchen supplies- from plates, pans, pots, utensils, and plastic ware. The bedrooms had plenty of storage. The beds were very comfortable and clean. After getting settled, the kids jumped right into the large sized pool in the backyard. It was clean and had more than enough chairs and chases. I loved the table for outside dining. The BBQ came in quite handy also. The beach is located 1 house away, which was wonderful because the kids could go back and forth by themselves and I didn't need to worry. One day we took the free trolley for a ride to the pier. The stop is just at the end of the street. The trolley makes numerous stops, and is frequent. We also enjoyed the restaurant that was within walking distance, either by road or beach. It had a great playground for the kids, live music, and served breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Publix was so close, along with a great sushi restaurant, a Dollar Tree, and CVS. One day my husband took the kids on a fishing trip out of Sarasota- great time and not too far at all. There is plenty to do on the island, but the house, pool, and beach kept everyone in our group happy and satisfied, so we didn't venture out much. We would definitely plan our next vacation here and would stay in the same house. My husband said it was the best vacation he has ever been on!

We loved our stay. Place is clean. Appealing. Plenty of space. One block from the beach. Close to town. Rooftop pool. Just bring your own toilet paper.
Stay at Sandbox on the Beach

This is one of the most wonderful places I have ever stayed. I accidentally ran upon this cottage 27 years ago, and fell in love with it then. I have stayed other places over the years, including the Longboat Key Club, which is very nice, but not steps from Siesta's beach!! The view could not be beat. Looking straight out from our living room you see ocean. Pale turquoise water, and pure white sand. Gorgous view, and a quaint place to stay. The bathroom is always an area of concern for me, since I am a neat freak, and I was very pleased at how clean and beautiful it was. The tiled shower was particularly nice. All the comforts of home were in the kitchen, plates to glassware, pots, and toaster, and a blender! I made a frozen margarita the moment I arrived! Most sincerely, Cheryl p.s. of course the sound of the ocean waves is very clear, lulling me to sleep.
Fantastic property and staff

We just returned from a week at Sanbox on the Beach and loved it. The location couldn't have been better, the rooms were clean and well maintained, and the team (Roger, Arlene, Frank and Nancy) treated us all like family. It was great to able to have the dogs with us. We can't wait to go back on our next vacation.

The views and beach location on this condo make the whole trip worth while. The beach patio of this condo is splendid!! The inside was well kept. The whole condo is tiled. I highly recommend this condo for the location to beach and the Village. I will be back to this location for another vacation.
Many return customers because we are a small lodging facility and make our guests feel at home, away from home, and don't forget your pet, they will enjoy it too!
